To reduce the lag, I would pull down the Drawing Range again. Maybe have it a bit further out then before the change, but less than now.
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
I understand your point Kane, but unfortunately lag has nothing to do with increased view ranges. Ranges are just 3D game engine parameters, and they cannot cause lag.
What's the IP address of the server? I want to run a traceroute and try to firgure out where the problem is.
Assuming, of course, that the problem is in the wireing somewhere.

4.77 Final is not actually final. The number of changes I had to make after release on forums don't allow me to publish it as is on Lancersreactor, like I did with 4.76. So I'm preparing a next version of 4.77, labelled 4.77.1. Be sure to download it, the version number will remain the same and if there'll be people with older 4.77 playing on server, it may cause problems (both clientside and serverside). I'm sorry to waste your bandwidth so many times for one version, hopefully this won't repeat.
Discovery 4.77.1 will be available in several hours. About that time Discovery server will be back running on my PC, and will run for the whole day if nothing wrong occurs.
The PC where main server runs is still down. I don't know when it will be back, but probably in 1-2 days.
The reason why crash occured also remains unknown because server with exactly the same mod version was running without any problems on my own PC yesterday, with up to 6 people online at one time. I tested all the new ships and features, and still cannot find anything that can possibly cause problems.
