Ah the minelayer is indeed simple, that requires changing but they actually can be used properly too.
Some changes are required but it's all possible.
A different mine model, no tracking and a far longer fuse. Result = a proper mine.
Not sure if it's possible to have one of the 'mines' drop off (or disapear rather) from the ship once you drop a mine. I think it is but not all that sure.
The Thing was my instant favourite, but after appreciating your work for about 5 minutes, its the Longbow for me. Simple & effective. I like the roof-rack feel of your freighter/transport too - needs a bit of tweaking as the storage pods have a loaf of bread feel to them. All in all bloody good work
ideas for the mine layers;
-add up something that will make it look more heavily armored. An accident on the current model, everyone dies...
-the engines looks really funny... try to extend it. Dont know if you can base it a bit off the Lancer frigate from Star Wars, it would be nice.
Firstly, thank you all for your comments and the compliments:)
However, I've taken your advise and this is an update on the Minelayer:
Made an overwing style construction on the vessel to add some shielding from attacks. However this ship is definately not made for actually fighting other vessels due to the sheer danger of their cargo. As such it does not need over the top armour etc but it has got several reinforced plates and other things added so it has a bulkier and stronger look to it. The overwing ought not to be longer I figured since if they were to deploy one of those mines, they would need to keep well clear of it on all sides. So having a small gap for it to go out of wasn't the smartest idea I figured:P
Again comments are very welcome!

A thing about the mine-dropper, I don't like the way the mines are modeled into the ship. A solution would be to have a fully enclosed cargo hold, so make a box over the mines, and texture some iris shutters on the side, say three on each side for mine slots. So, six mine launchers, or however many, and you don't have a definate number of mines you could launch in-RP. Based on the current model, you can only drop three mines, which would be a pain in the ass when setting up something Z21 sized.
Also, with an enclosed bomb-bay, you could put a note in the infocard saying some were retrofitted for shipping duties, so they have some use outside of RP events. I guess a regular use for them would be a heavily armoured light-transport.
The issue with the biostation is that I don't know if Igiss will even allow it to be added. He stated no more unique objects and made no mention in regards to new stations etc.
von Gotteshand is right, with a fully textured interior on that biodome thing that would be impossibly awesome.
However... why exactly does a corporation need gunboats? Heavy patrol craft for the borderwolds I can sort of see, but... OSC controls planets and large, well armed and armored liners, all of which are used by enough criminal groups to ensure their security- not to mention the planetary defense grids, or the BHG clouds that swarm the Lux Liners. Note- ship looks quite nice, but I don't think the role is needed. Its like Bundschuh having heavy capital ships. It just doesn't seem right... even if this isn't as blasphemous.
