It's a great Idea "IF" gunboat turrets are severly nerfed... right now however gunboat turrets are overpowering becouse of gunboats ability to dodge fire at 1300m a cruiser could never do that... well atleast not the Junker Frigate...

Well cruiser turrets are still better any day, but one cannot help to notice the power whoring capabilities of such a ship. I'm not saying any junker would mount 4 razors + 4 infernos +2 cruiser missiles... but such a thing would eventualy happend, much like this happens to battlecruisers right now... What you could do is... give it Cruiser armor, cruiser shields, and then gunboat guns and gunboat powercore... It would hardly be abused with a GB powercore. That way you can have 8 nice defense turrets and 2 extra long range cruiser turrets...

That would heavily remind me of a liner thou. But with a setup like that It would be hard to abuse.

Since frigates are IRL primarily antisubmarine/guided-missile ships in the modern age, perhaps we could have it as an ordinary Cruiser but with a Torpedo mount instead of a cruiser-strength forward gun?

pay attention to the part where he brags about keeling an OC dessie

Either the corsair GB is too powerfull for $25 mil, being able to easly destroy a OC dessie with armour upgrades armed with 3 red hessian cruizer turrets, a light mortar and an inferno(i cant use anyway without pausing my fire for 20 seconds while my energy recharges, while the GB continualy fires ifs main turrets and firing GB razors wothout any pause!!)
all worth about $160 mill!
Or the OC dessie costs too much or is too weak, if so, I WANT MAH MONEY BACK
with 160 mil i could buy and arm 5 of those GB's! waaay to unbalanced for cheap GB's!!

If you put a torp slot onto a GB, that would mean you could put a supernova or an inferno on it

and since a torp slot inferno uses waay less energy and deals waay more damage, putting it on a GB power core could lead to a new breed of whores CAPTORPWHORES

Eh? 8 GB turrets? Well, who knows how those are gonna look like in 4.85?
So what, you'd be able to mount 8 freaking battlerazors? Or 8 GB Infernos?
It's worse.. For Cruiser guns, not for GB guns. With these 10 guns and Cruiser core you'd be able to shoot forever.
You'd also be able to mount 2 light mortars, 4 inferno's and 4 battlerazors, and do things you shouldn't do.

2.000 cargo is another point. It'd make an ultimate trading ship, not just a cruiser.

All in all, I am against introducing any new classes or subclasses until we fix the existing ones.

only ignorant nubs would do something like that Anyway, you can do that now with a regular cruiser, so this ship would not make a difference anyway. no offense or anything. Tenacity, I'm behind that idea all the way, i like what you're doing for the junkers. I can't wait til next mod. it's going to be some much more fun to RP as a junker then it is now. witch is kinda boring. Also, only choosing from like three ships that actually have the junker name in it? I would love to see more junker ships.

10 guns.

Right now, my GB can fire 2 Cerbs and have no energy within 5 secs

Now, lets take the cruiser power core.

Just under triple.

That means it can fire 6 GB cerbs for 5 seconds, or less.

All in all, cerb spam = easy to counter >.>

Sorry but really, if someone applies that kind of equipment... I dont think he/she is really normal (And im not fan of this type of BCs either). Energy will be enough for exactly one shot, maybe not even that, and 10x cerb? That will be fast as well.Yeah, someone tryes to exploit anything possible, and we cant change that, but for PvP, I think that ship wont be better tah cruiser, no matter what you will do. And that a lot of people on disco dont really like Junkers is another fact... I know that very well from some discussions before few months. Everyone can have opinion though.
