If you want to go outcast I suppose you could set up two falcatas... one with two infernos, the other with a train CD and supernova. Two infernos can blast the shields off of almost any transport.
1. Get a trader and trade up to a decent amount, 30-40 Mill should do it.
1b. Make a new char, transfer money.
2. Get the sabre with all necessary stuff.
3. Above all else. RP. Never go out of character, even if you are learning who your character is.
Good luck! If you have any problems or questions feel free to ask on the forums, or other players in game. (But try to do it in character:))
Trading =/= power trading, so don't listen to whoever it was that said that. Just stay away from Diamonds, Niobium, or the Sigma 13 jump hole (too many pirates on that route, anyways). Lots of other trade routes that can be done in RP.
Well, personally, I don't think you've given us enough to go on with what kind of a pirate you want to be.
There are lots of choices you could make about what type of a pirate you'll be. You could be a bloodthirsty Corsair, or a crazed Lane Hacker, or a down-on-his-luck Rogue, or a proud Hessian, or an idealistic farmer (Save the best for last). There are lots of possibilities.
Now, then, I would like to say, just go wherever you think you'll have the most fun. Outcasts are nice and all, but they don't really pirate in many places anymore. The way the people in Disco have portrayed them is more of an organized military and nation that relies on smuggling their drugs more than on pirating.
Almost every other pirate faction, on the other hand, still does need to pirate for money. This includes the Corsairs, Landwirtrechtbewegung, Mollies, Rogues, Blood Dragons, Hessians, etc. As an Outcast, you might find yourself short a couple pirating spots, rather than having two or three popular as a different faction.
Wherever you go, though, I might suggest building up a stockpile of at least 10 million per ship before setting up. You don't need cool armour if you're in a group, but you will need guns and the like, and Falcons won't do well enough, I don't think.
EDIT: And by that, I mean that Falcons might have a hard time.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
Falcons have the turn and strafe ability of not much better than an eagle, with less armour and firepower. I think you'd have a really hard time taking down a transport.
I'd advise getting a few more credits first, maybe if you're outcast inclined, smuggle cardi to beaumont basein texas, and slaves back again... nets a tidy profit, and smuggling always seems like more fun to me.
Set up a new character, and use the /givecash command to put the money onto it. This leaves your free to use your trader to get more funds for other chars you may start in the future.
Find someone who has been roleplaying the character type you want to be for a while, and ask them to give you a crash course in how to be an outcast, corsair, blood dragon... whatever. If they are a decent person then I'm sure the'll help and if they say "get stuffed n00b", then tell me who it is so I can burn their house down.
If you want to become an Outcast, the SOB are great people to go to asking about piracy, if it's the Corsairs you're interested in, ask the OPG, they pirate very well. Rogues, talk to the LR boys.
Never be afraid to ask for help. If you have a good attitude and accept the knowledge of others the people will treat you with respect as well
