I've got a lot of good news.
First of all I am glad to hear that we got away with the last incident in which 2 of our men got caught red-handed in Dublin [rumors say: because of the High Command of the BPA - I know of nothing].
I have heard of yet another incident of someone getting caught - this time not a rookiee, but he paid up and there were no questions answered.
I'd like to remind you guys the importance of using long-range scanners. In fact, I found it so important that I am writing up a Grand <strike>Smuggling</strike> Guide for our new recruits, as well as some of our older members. *rolls his eyes*

Other then that, I'm glad to present to you, some [bad] pictures of several convoys led by me.

Yes--being simple and honest businessmen, we would never ship contraband. Therefore--since we never ship contraband--we of course would never be caught.

It is a shame the prejudice of the houses exists in places simply because we are an open, tolerant and non-judgmental group who welcome all.

Are there any better people than hard working Junkers? I think not!

Brothers.
Today is a sad day for the congress.

Today, 3 Phantom ships (2 VHFs and a bomber) raided Sigma 13. After a while of peacefully lurking outside Yanagi, they attacked a Harvester unit inside the Yanagi zone.

Numerous congressmen retaliated, including myself, Rusty.Nail, Rusty.Bolt, Newsun and a couple others.
There were also a number of ships belonging to our so-called 'friends' the Corsairs, Dragons and Raven who, despite their past promises to help us in combat, did nothing.

The Congress fleet outnumbered the Phantoms 2 to 1, consisting of gunships and collectors, yet we still suffered a devastating, total defeat. The Phantom ships, while taking some damage, took no casualties.

This incident further proves my two points that;
- Our own current shiping is inadequate for combat operations, defensive or offensive,
- We cannot always rely on our 'friends' to help defend us, as shown clearly in today's incident.

Thankfully, most of our downed pilots managed to eject and were picked up by a passing CSV convoy. My Collector was totally destroyed by a violent double supernova hit, so I will be out of action until a new ship is assembled and equipped.

//My laptop is dying. I've been struck by the Ati2dvag bug which has no official cure. There are a number of common solutions, most of which work for a while but then the problem comes back worse.
Chances are I wont be back until I can get a new laptop thrown together.

Subject: 5k no fire zone

Congressmen Today while on patrol in Sigma 13 one of our pilots contacted me about a liberty cruiser closing on Yanagi station. I made for the station when i picked up a Corsair on my scanners also making for Yanagi. When i arrived on station i saw they had engaged each other. An entertainig situation for me since who ever won would kill an enemy. But not only were these two well within the 5k no fire zone they were mere meters from the station. I informed them of the no fire zone and that the SOB would not fire inside it except in self defense. The Brigade values the use of Yanagi station as a resupply point for our Sig 13 operations and will not risk firing inside the 5k zone unless given no other choice. Some how ever are not at all concerned for the safety of your people. Attached is gun cam evidence of these fools.

How you choose to deal with these fools is up to you but i would recommend shooting them on sight but that's just me.

Thank you for the reports and your comments pilot Grimtooth. Our friends are welcome to aid Junkers when they are lawfully defending the station: i.e., if Junkers are under fire, we welcome offers of assistance from any friendly pilots and will most often accept them.

We are about to establish a "Scrappers School" for combat practice and will have additional assets at Yanagi soon.

Shamefully our normal non-partisan business pursuits are being interrupted by all these trigger happy fools loitering about. Only our arming against the Wild has given us any semblance of preparation for this continual combat.

Too long the Phantoms have infiltrated our base and used it to stage terrorist attacks. They are persona non grata at Yanagi, henceforth and are welcome to be engaged by any passerby who wishes to deal with them.

Such senseless violence. Getting harder every day for decent folk like us to do business. Anyway, let me offer a little happier news. I have finally put the Crow's Nest back into space. I was missing the old ship and now she is space worthy again after the encounter with our dear departed Rangers.

Also, we have yet another new recruit. Joe Brown has decided to turn in his mining ship for a collector and join the ranks of the Congress. You will probably be seeing him in space and in the Rochester bar very soon.

Congress, I was also in the area during the unprovoked attack on the Harvester. The Harvester unit sat within mear meters
of Yanagi and the Phantoms attacked it without one word being directed at it. While I myself as an Outcast do not like
these machines I was watching the comms from the Junkers ordering the Phantoms to halt there fire and none would listen.
I myself avoid any fire around your base and while we have an understanding with yourselves and the Phantoms I do not
condone there actions.
I am sorry for your loss of ships as a result of Phantoms disreguard of your laws of no fire around Yanagi.

Warmest greetings to you, great Abiter.

I wish to speak to you about this ''scrappers school'' you'd like to start. As you surely need trainers, i'll surely be able to fledge some skills of our pilots. I used to travel towards Gamma and train the corsairs in pvp combat simulations, asking for a small fee of course. In this, I do not require a fee, though I'd recommend the following: Bring the recruits, or old congressmen, towards me at Rochester. There we can train unnoticed, and stay safe from dangers. Once the folks leave this area, they've surely picked up some tips and tricks wich will help them in combat.

Maybe once they finished practicing, some equipment from Anthony Calvert would do nicely on the guardsmen?

More trouble at Yanagi. I have been advised by the Outcasts multiple times of Corsairs disregarding the no fire zone at Yanagi. Today I undocked to find a Corsair bomber named Grimly engaging an Outcast, right after he attacked and destroyed an Outcast destroyer. He was told multiple times to leave Yanagi space and refused. .:j:.Euripides Rubio and myself gave him more chances than we should have before finally engaging him after which he quickly fled the area. As he left he screamed threats that he would be back with a Corsair fleet to supernova Yanagi. I regret this incident. We tried for a peaceful solution to no avail. My apologies to all of our Corsair friends who enjoy our hospitality and respect our base.

Arbiter Tinkerbell,

I am recommending that Corsair pilot Grimly be declared persona non grata at Junker bases. He has twice that I am aware of come to Yanagi to start a fight. After being chased away yesterday he returned today. When I attempted to discuss his behavior, he told me that he only fights in self defense and that his ship is not for pirating. No sooner did he tell me that but he flew off and destroyed two ships without any communication or provocation whatsoever and this was done within 5k of Yanagi. He then proceeded to insult the Outcasts who formed a fleet and destroyed him with my permission as he was attempting to use our base a a shield. This will not be tolerated. He again threatened us with a war against the Corsairs.
