My Molly uses it, and while its not my favorite ship it does seem very balanced. It's basically a less manuverable HF with 4 class 10 gun slots. I can't aim my razor on it though . :(
Well, last I checked it's called a HF on the infocard ingame. The turning is slightly better than most VHFs (Eagle aside, of course), and the hull is pretty low (more akin to the Centurion, another HF). The only VHF-ish thing about it is the power core. And it's firepower is anything but "Very Heavy".
While the Greyhound seems, on stats alone, to be well balanced with the Warewolf, the thing you have to remember is that the Warewolf is a huge target (even I can hit them...), and, thus, the Greyhound becomes the ship of choise to those factions limited to the "pirate" ship line (Rogues and Mollys)
Greyhound is pretty nice fighter. And once you sacrifice one of four guns for paralyzer, and mount torpedo on it, it can joust things pretty much. Actually, it becomes hard to make them joust you.
