Dear All,
The AFO Policy has officially been revised to reflect these changes:
1)The AFO Testing policy is as follows:
In your unarmed Hussar, capture(//take a screenshot of) 5 instances of criminal activity, and how you managed to deal with this criminal activity without any real weaponry. Following this, you will officially be AFO certified.
2)The AFO weaponry policy:
Prior to today, you were allowed to mount only a Train Cruise Disruptor before getting your AFO Certification. After deliberation and consideration, we now authorize the use of 1 Trade Lane Disabler on your ship(1 Adv. Debilitator available on Planet Leeds).

Evening Chaps,
After a series of extremely quiet patrols, tonight was somewhat more eventful.
Upon launching from Leeds, I was hailed on my private Channels by the LRC-Poseidon with a request for the Liberty Revenue Cutters to operate in Cortez and Magellan. I told him I'd pass the request along to my superiors, so here it is: http://i396.photobucket.com/albums/pp42/LP...tterRequest.jpg
Which is illegal. I stopped him, and informed him that he would have to sell it in Bretonia, or return it to his supplier. He seemed to be cooperating, but then ran. I was unable to disrupt the trade lane in time, and he got to the Tau-31 gate, where he docked: http://i396.photobucket.com/albums/pp42/LP...ingtoTau-31.jpg
The rest of my Patrol went fairly quietly, though I did talk a Zoner into buying a Percheron to replace his aging Bumblebee (a Kusari vessel). Or at least I think I did. My shift ended before I could confirm such.

Subject: More Corsairs!
Greetings everyone,
Last night I got a call at a late call at my office at Cambridge saying that there were Kusari ships in Leeds. I immediately donned my uniform, and launched my SRD into Cambridge space. Unfortunately, there was a Corsair Gunboat not 10k away from Cambirdge Orbit.
I asked this fine fellow to leave, however, he did not comply with my kind request. I was forced to engage him. Thankfully he was not escorted, as the Corsairs I have faced in the past were, and I manged to down him without too much trouble.
After this, I joined Commissioner Lauderdale and the BAF in Leeds, and we found the Kusari gone. After playing guard for a tick, I did decide that retiring to my office in Cambridge was prudent, and Sir Lauderdale agreed. We left defense to the BAF after this, and I finished my night.
A more successful night,
~Constable Abigail Thorn

The Carapace is the toast of the CCD offices here on Leeds, having assisted a BAF fighter wing destroy a pirate gunship no less. A full report is attached.
However the following item should be brought to the attention of the Commissoner immediately.
I received a call from QCID officers who were anxious to establish the whereabouts of a particular individual involved in a recent license application. The application concerned members of the Gas Miners Guild, a bizarre foreign business which has some sort of hand in the supply of H-Fule.
Strange thing was, this became a diplomatic disaster, with the Queen's Office getting involved.
The QCID officers requested copies of all pertinent files. They asked me to assist them with making sense of the various forms.
We were rather confused when we encountered this....

*message delivered via hologram*
Greetings, your Majesty,
*bows to Queen*
I come before you as an ambassador to make an understanding and hopefully, a diplomatic solution regarding the Gas Miners Guild use of Bretonia space. I also want to address the how the war between the governments of Kusari and Bretonia is affecting the Zoners as well and could well affect sirius in the long run.
As Master Raikoke has explained, the GMG is in need of the deuterium that we produce on Canaria to process H-fuel, a necessity for us all in Sirius. The problem isn't so much the production of H-fuel but the delivery of the deuterium to the Gas Miners.
Currently, the safest way is through Bretonia. It is better patrolled by the BAF and the Police and has been relatively clear of pirates and criminals. However, ship after ship has been stopped and stripped of it's cargo over a dispute between two governments.
We have been told to go through Liberty. Sadly, it is not a viable option as the LN has become quite oppressive and the increase in crime and piracy has made it risky at best.
We could go the back route via the Omega and Omicron systems but the threat of piracy is high and radiation makes for alot of ship repairs and hazardous health conditions. While Zoners could use this route due to it's neutrality, the GMG do not have that same option. We have heard the tales of GMG transports and their crews being left to die in space by criminals. To hear the cries of the families is indeed tear jerking.
Your Majesty, this blockade has also affected our home world of Gran Canaria. How? We need not only H-fuel and to deliver the deuterium that we produce but for our ship yards, we need engine components, polymers and many other products. While we could buy them in Liberty, it is not cost effective and would drastically cut into our profit margin. The same applies to Rheinland while. Bretonia doesn't have all that we need and we're limited to what we are able to purchase. With supplies being cut, some workers have had to leave due to unemployment and find work elsewhere, some in places they would rather not be. Zoner leadership has done its best to this point to keep calm against pilots who have lost millions in taken cargo. Tensions are running high, tempers short and patience is getting low.
Your Majesty, we would like to see this matter resolved. I have volunteered myself to be an Ambassador and I make the same offer to you. I can't negotiate the war you have with the Kusari government but I can try to work an economic solution that we can all agree with and live with. The Bretonians are good, hard working people as are those of the GMG. I will do what is necessary to achieve this solution.
Thank you for your time.
Ambassador Holliday
*holographic image ends*
We believe that the exact location of this "Gran Canaria" which seems to be a major source of deuterium may be contained within these files.
I believe QCID are handling the matter from now on.

Subject: People, I Swear....
Sometimes I feel just absolutely sorry for the generations to come.
I had to have argued with two blokes for an hour last night, and have gotten the most piss-poor excuses as to justify flying into an uncharted ice field with a Transport full of Bretonian citizens. Also, I apparently don't have a clue what I'm doing, and need to find a superior office to tell these blokes to turn around. I guess I don't count as a superior officer these days. I swear, I just wanted to get out of my ship and throw a stale scone at these people.
Onto the detailed report, I halted two traders, one by the name of [ATA]-Myers.Imports, and another by the name of Intermundus. Apparently the ATA was part of a larger corporation that voiced a complaint against the charges of smuggling, unwillingness to cooperate with a Bretonian Constable, and attempts to assassinate a Bretonian Constable. The other, Intermundus, continually asked for my "Superior officer," at which point I told him that there was none, several times. I swear, it's a miracle this man knew how to breathe, not to mention fly a ship. It's completely confounding.
The ATA girl called her boss, though, and he started complaining and finding loopholes in our Legal Charter. Is that all people do these days? Go around looking for loopholes and shortcuts through our laws? Absolutely abhorrent. When he asked for my superior officer, you better believe me when I say that I told him to shove a sock in the hole that makes noise, and listen when I said I was my superior office. Of course, he didn't listen, and kept rambling about loopholes and "Protecting his pilot." I do wonder how he can "run a company," seeing as it is a miracle that he can figure out what hole to shove food into....
Bloody idiots,

Men,
Today was easily one of the most eventful days so far in my career as a police officer in Bretonia.
At first, the BPA)Carapace and I intercepted a smuggler by the name of Kathir. At first, the Junker-tagged Kathir did not respond to our requests to halt. While the Carapace bombarded the liner with cruise disruptors, I was able to thrust ahead and disable the trade lanes before us. It was not long before the Kathir decided to open fire.
Unfortunately, that is never a good idea in Bretonia, especially when the BPA is making demands!
With the Carapace dishing out damage, my SRD vessel began to take fire from the Kathir. Fortunately, a few well placed shots from my Antimatter cannon proved to be convincing enough for the fellow to stop. He promptly dropped the cargo in question(over 3000 units in Counterfeit Software[Including pirated copies of Discovery Freelancer]), and the cargo was destroyed by the Carapace, as per Bretonian procedure.
The Kathir was reimbursed, however, for the damage that she took while attempting to flee. The BPA recognizes the importance of ship to her owner, regardless of how he or she decides to abuse their or others' rights in Bretonia.
As if that were not the end of our troubles.
I was alerted by Captain Stanley Nelson of the Queen's Armed Forces that there was a smuggler in Cambridge. Heading up to the suspected location of the culprit, we found one S.Ashcroft. Visual sighting of the smuggler was not acquired, but we were alerted of a Corsair Gunboat, one Juan_Cortez.
Cortez demanded that the BAF left Mr. Ashcroft go, an order that we were more than happy to disobey. As Mr. Nelson pursued the smuggler, the BPA gave chase to the Corsair.
Both smuggler and Corsair jumped via a mysterious space-warp anomaly. Against our better judgment, we followed, as loyal servants of the Queen and valiant defenders of Bretonia. Interestingly, the anomaly placed us in the Leeds System. Immediately, Mr. Nelson's blackbox indicated that his ship had been downed. With the assistance of Kaclith|Sarah.Kerr and a Mandalorian, I downed the gunboat.
We tractored aboard Mr. Nelson and returned him to the BPA Infirmary on Leeds, where he was promptly discharged by the doctor, being called, "A waste of hospital space."
Up and about, Mr. Nelson was soon in space in a spare BAF vessel again.
Unfortunately, we soon encountered the same corsair, who had apparently come back for a vengeance. I found him in Cambridge, attacking Mr. Nelson again, and quickly dispatched of him. Lt. Hobart of the BAF and Kaclith|Sarah.Kerr of Kaclith Technologies were present to assist.
Following this, Ms. Kerr contacted me regarding Nomad Licensure in Bretonia. Unfortunately, a dastardly individual flying the Doirmea swayed the innocent Ms. Kerr into giving him the money for the licensing. Despite admitting to the crime later, Doirmea has not returned the 12 million credits to Ms. Kerr or the BPA.
In addition, the captain of the Doirmea was caught with 400 units of Counterfeit Software by Lt. Hobart of the BAF prior to the aforementioned incident.
As a result, a hefty bounty has been placed on his head.
Summary of Events
- 1,000,000C/Kill Bounty on Doirmea
- 1,000,000C Reimbursed to Kathir for damages to vessel
- 1,000,000C Paid to MM~Vhipir-Kad for assistance against Juan_Cortez
- Juan_Cortez is now KoS for attacking BAF officers
- Kathir is now on watchlist for smuggling
- Doirmea is now KoS in Bretonia for Impersonation of a Police Officer

Greetings Sirs,
My past few patrols have been eventful enough. I patrolled Leeds with Constable Benford.Calvert for a while, where we spoke with several vessels, all peaceful, lawful types. BAF|Ens.Amanda.Churchil joined us for a while as well. Constable Calvert went off to patrol Cambridge, and Ens. Churchil and I headed to New London, where it was all quiet until Constable Calvert's shift ended.
The quiet didn't last, however. A gentleman, and I use the term very lightly, by the name of Sergio Reyes arrived, and started insulting Bretonia. I met him at Southampton Shipyard. Upon scanning his ship, he was revealed as a Corsair (which I already suspected). http://i396.photobucket.com/albums/pp42/LP...orsairInNL1.jpg
Ens. Churchil was on New London resupplying her ship, so I decided to attempt to hold him at Southampton until she could arrive and deal with him more properly. We engaged in witty debate.
Ens. Churchil arrived in her Templar and warned the Corsair off. He failed to comply, and the battle was begun. I bravely attempted to remain a distraction so that she could finish him off. Unfortunately I was too slow in getting myself out of harm's way, and my ship was downed. Luckily I was mere meters from Southampton, and was able to eject safely, with only minor injuries. I managed to get a parting shot in from my pod (a clich?d line, but effective...).
Sadly the Corsair managed to do the same to Ens. Churchil. I discovered this as she was brought into the station's medical wing only minutes after I arrived. Ens. Churchil and I discussed the battle, and I discovered that she had had a long day battling Kusari (successfully) prior to coming on patrol with me, and so perhaps her reflexes were not as quick as they could have been. This war is definitely taking its toll!
I took a much needed rest as my ship was being repaired, and visited my parents on New London.
Today my ship was repaired and I returned to Leeds to resume duty.
Things again began quietly enough, with only a license application (which I have already transmitted) from Midnight.El to transport Prisoners.
Then I had a conversation with a man calling himself "Sinn_Fein" claiming to be a Gaian. I never caught sight of his ship on my scanners, so I cannot confirm, but he certainly sounded like one from his statements. I have attached a full log, but I will summarize for those who may have better things to do than read lengthy log files of ultimately unimportant conversations. Essentially, he had two goals in Leeds:
1. Obtain something called "Hemp" for smoking. I assumed he meant Synthetic Marijuana, so I asked him to pay the tax, which he didn't do.
2. His second goal was to duel me in one-on-one combat. Well, as a Junior Constable this was somewhat problematic. There were no BAF or AFO certified officers present, so I told him the truth. Upon learning the facts of the situation, he departed peacefully, much to my relief.
The rest of my patrol consisted of speaking with a few people:
1. Mr. Jake Logan, a Bounty Hunter with a reputation of getting his target (9 confirmed targets destroyed). He went up against a Gaian in Edinburgh, but was forced to flee.
2. [WT]-V who had a malfunctioning transponder, transmitting Interspace IFF. He was unaware of the malfunction, and went off to have it fixed.
I returned to Leeds succesfully and composed this report.
Junior Constable David Anthony Out.

This is David Arkwright, captain of the Prison Ship Executioner, which has long been in the service of the Bretonian Crown, transporting prisoners of the state to various correctional facilites across Sirius at Her Majesty's pleasure. Following the return to active duty of Sir Alan Lauderdale, I have placed the vessel (originally financed as a joint BAF/BPA venture) fully under the offical command of the Bretonian Police Authority, at the request of Sir Alan and my benefactor Captain Nelson of the BAF, to whom I owe my job as well as my ship.
I am therefore pleased to present the BPT)Executioner as the first Prison Ship of the new Bretonian Police Transport Division of the BPA, and shall continue in commanding her in serving the Crown in a more official capacity.
Regards,
Captain David Arkwright,
BPT)Executioner
//I'm not sure on the precise details of where we agreed this ship would fit into the BPA structure; my understanding would be that it would form the first (and possibly only) ship of a new division dedicated to prisoner transport. Also, I'm not sure if you wished to assign any rank other than simply being captain of the vessel in question.
I took the Spaulder in for an armor upgrade last night. Later in New London, someone named Kate Donnelly told me there was a Molly at Southampton Shipyard. I was feeling generous, so I decided to give the Molly 10 minutes to leave:
I asked his destination, and he said New Tokyo! He seemed unaware of the war between Bretonia and Kusari somehow. I filled him in, and he agreed to ship the Deuterium to Newcastle instead. I decided to escort him to South Shields refinery. On the way there, Kate Donnelly made a transmission saying she was in the Leeds system. I decided to continue with my escort service, since I had no evidence that Kate Donnelly was anyone important or nefarious. The trader didn't try anything funny, and the escort went without a hitch.
Though she denied being a Molly, saying that she wasn't a Molly, she was a Kate. Very witty, I'm sure.
She was flying a Hyena Light Fighter. I wasn't sure how the situation was going to proceed, though I didn't expect to be attacked, I was prepared. We had a lengthy conversation, the transcript of which is attached below. The upshot was that she wanted me to first disrupt a Trade Lane for her, which I declined. Next, she wished me to come to Dublin with her and aid her in pirating the trader I spoke of earlier. I declined again. She was unhappy with that, and proceeded to open fire. I didn't feel too threatened at first, but when my shields failed I reluctantly opened fire on her vessel. Hyenas, it turns out, are hard to hit with Transport Turrets, though I did drop her shields several times and do some hull damage. I was aided by a Bowex ship a bit as well, though it's hard to say how much.
In the end, her own Nuclear Mine did her in, though not before doing some minor damage to the Spaulder, including incinerating my Countermeasures:
