What kind of ships did you/them have?
What kind of guns?

And how bad aimers are you?

Randomly dropped mines is a novice's trick, and its a novice's trick to overcome it. Randomly running into mines...well, that doesn't say much about your opponent. Not being able to scratch them with guns, that doesn't say much about you. I'm getting closer and closer to the oppinion, through reading your posts in this thread, that you want to make things easier to kill because you cannot land a decent hit. That, in essence, you are very bad at PVP.

Moreover, your nukes and missiles would have done much much more damage if they had no armour, making the random useless deaths...more common, and easier to achieve. Logical fallacy?

Who fires off missiles and turns around? You'd have to be an idiot to do that. Fire Paralyzer + GUNS AWAY.

It's not 'noobish bullsh*t', they're all tactics used by the pros of PvP.

Anyone who has used mines enough can figure them out - and no-one can really tell you. I figured at least half of this stuff out on my own, so I'd say that I'm creative to a degree, or perhaps just a fast learned. Keep your rude comments to yourself next time.

Not to mention the lack of armor, as previously stated, would make PvP totally and utterly pointless. Having to wait four hours after a 30-second PvP fight, bull crap.

Look, Johnathan, we all suck at something in Freelancer. I happen to be terrible in Fighter vs. Fighter. But Bomber vs, Bomber and Bomber vs. Cap are easy things for me. Perhaps you'd be better suited to a cruiser, or battleship, seeing as dodging is pointless. Unselie's right, random mines are a novice trick and a last-ditch tactic. As for guns, you may want to invest in something like Cerberus or Solaris codenames. What you need is a lot of practice. It took me a while to get used to the different types of ships. But I have a grasp on different combat styles. You could too if you spent less time in this thread and more in Connecticut.

I had Loki, they had 2 Wraths and one of them was BHG

Can't judge myself but I was able to dodge everything the threw at me and so were they.

No, I didn't realise this when making this threat but I really don't want nukes to be more damaging than they're now. Guns yes, they are nearly worthless, unless you're using vengeances' or something. But still they deliver very little damage.

And my opponents were RM.

if they were from RM they either had codenames which are no easy thing to hit a LF with or Hornvipers which don't do any damage right now.. and are getting 30% damage upgrade:

mmm, yes, Hornvipers. A lot of people have said they screw the aim somehow. And I actually could hit with Krakens but only 2-3 times per run which diiiiiiiiid.......nothing.

Obviously a lone LF with 3 guns should blast 2 VHFs easily or?

3*3=556=5000 damage per run then... is that nothing?

I've already said that most of the damage was dealt with nuke mines.


As for the Hornvipers, damage doesn't seem to be the only problem. They seem to be lees likely to hit than the others.
