See this is the problem, many Order factional players want to be rid of the Corsair alliance, but keep all the benefits of being allies. If it's the Order player factions rp that they are ending the alliance with the Corsairs, why resist having that rp codified in game mechanics?
Also, see my last post, not just Indies, I would wager Order ships using Corsair guns is one of the most common violations of the tech chart.

I agree, but I do not think that ending an alliance is the same thing as going hostile. One is a much larger change than the other, both in RP and in terms of development needed. As I said before i think that mechanics should not allow order ID'd players to buy corsair weapons. If this was implemented all existing instances of this could be whittled down with reports.
I was away for a bit so I dont know who has what on their ships..
Relations are going cold I know that.. but then..
I guess you should talk first with Order high command and talk (if you did and no one told us, sorry) but I dont like this way of asking to do it..
Why wait, you ask?
There is I guess time for it.. maybe wait for new version to come out? I don't know, but then again both sides have to go hostile not just Corsairs > Order and probably allys of Corsairs .. Its just weird to do it this way

Very true. Also, I am convinced without some sort of game mechanic intermediary, such as an fl hook command stopping Order ships from buying Corsair guns, the two groups will in fact quickly become hostile. Also if the Order cant figure out how to not bring their caps to Gamma. I would rather have the Order neutral, although honestly, I find that to be unlikely long term.
Edit: Sead, I have talked with the Order High Command, several times, I guess they have not told you, they like to call us criminals.

From a simple mechanics perspective, that's an easy rep-ninja change.
I pull up the controls, clickety click, and the Order and Corsairs are no longer best buds.
But from an RP perspective - we'd need to see the in-forum RP, because there's a LOT of ships and gear that have been shared. This wouldn't be a simple one, this would change the whole layout of things as well as having issue on the storyline.

What I am saying is, look at the tech chart, these are ships and gear that are not supposed to be shared.
Edit: and there is a fair bit of forum rp that can be shown, if it comes to that, but the ideal solution is to fl hook the Order and the Corsairs from being able to buy the others tech.
