The guild has received the Gunboat from IMG and has been refitted for GMG use. There may still be a bit of work to be done to the scanner's friend/foe designation systems but alltogether it's in remarkable condition.
It bears the name GMG|Tartary

Konichiwa,
I am reporting an incident that occurred at Naha 12-05-816 22:46. I was finishing up my patrol to Naha, which was relatively quiet. As I was docking, a Train that goes by the callsign Montezuma began to open fire. I quickly undocked and he was gone. I took the lane to the ALG facility in hopes of tracking him down, but he could not be found. Back at Naha, A-Hostile-Ship was nearly 5k away and approaching fast. I sent him a routine transmission:
I checked the archives, because I had remembered an incident with this vessel. I found a result: Post 45
Though his transponder reported Neutral status, his ID was Outcast.
I told the pilot he had 3 minutes to leave:
Unfortunately, he refused.
I engaged the enemy, staying behind him for most of the battle. Unexpectedly, Montezuma returned briefly and started to fire at me, but I avoided taking much damage by dodging his fire. He took a trade lane away from Naha, and A-Hostile-Ship and I continued to exchange fire. The battle raged on until he fled the scene towards the New Berlin Jump hole.
Long live the Guild!

I woke up this morining with both good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news. Last night we lost one of our patrol wings. The pilots are safe, their pods were collected by GMG workers that were collecting the H-fuel from our miners. Jin'ko, Park, Kasugai and Mai were doing patrols and were hit by Outcasts fielding smaller more agile craft than the usual lumbering capital ships we are used to seeing. They have adjusted their raid groups to handle our Taiidans, we've been expecting this. GMG|Tartary from IMG is fully operational and will be deployed to assist. I hear GMG|Shantar currently being built by Kishiro will be nearing completion and the Zoners say they are cooking something up for us, said we would like it.... We will also require Fighter support if any of the Security Officers would like to get an Eagle it would help (you may have both your bomber and an Eagle).
On some brighter news. GMG's numbers have increasing and our measure of control is increasing, we have begun implementing fines of 5mil to smugglers who come within 5K of our facilities. Until now we have been limited to what we can accomplish, particularly in Sigma-13, we've pretty much been unable to "put our foot down" on smugglers because of the high level of Pirates and warships we deal with. Now our numbers are increasing and I have read a report that our security has met success with the first fine put down on a Cardi smuggler who flew right up to the base and our security. Our hope is to eventually make smuggling in the Sigmas an unprofitable business, but one step at a time. All fines collected should be banked in the GMG|Armoury

Konichiwa GMG Security
Been a busy day at the office today.
There have been concerns that were brought up recently by the Security Division describing the current usage of Gas Miner Naha and Gas Miner Ogashawa. Reports show that capital class warships have been docking with our miners for extensive periods of time. An investigation was done by the administration to see what effects this had on both facilities and the results looked grim for both Naha and Ogashawa.
These two facilities were not designed so that warships may moor to them for long periods of time. Neither facilities have the resources to handle any visitors for any extended length of time. They can only house the workers and security on any long term basis with provisions aside for the crew of the transports who come to load their cargo's with the H-fuel. We don't want our staff getting starved out. To top it off mooring fictures are limited on both facilities and they can't be held up for too long because the next transport in line needs to get on with business.
There was some lengthy deliberation that followed these conclusions. Two side were split on the onset of discussions and while both sides wanted capital class ship to stop mooring with the miners, one side wanted GMG allies to be able to dock with their capital class ships. A decision was made:
-GMG cannot afford to have any capital class warships whatsoever docking with Gas Miner Naha and Gas Miner Ogashawa.
-Security Division will be asked to ensure that only trade ships and small ships dock with the miners for only a short period of time.
-For extended stays by traders and small ships we have the appropriate facilities and services on Aomari Station in Honshu.
-Capital class warships, allied or neutral, can be directed to either Aomari Station or if they prefer they may go to Helgoland Station. I do suggest Helgoland as it's facilities are far better equipped to handle the larger ships
-We do not need capital class warships around the miners for extended periods, Security will be asked to escort them to a more appropriate location, like Helogoland. We don't care if it takes hits, but it is getting expensive repairing damage to Naha done by large turret fire. Security does patrol to Helgoland periodically and can assist allied capital class vessals
Konnichiwa, I have a security issue I would like to raise.
It seems our Zoner allies are initiating random 'war games' with our low level patrols. Part of the reason is to adjust their IFF database so they may acquire a positive result for the Zoner Guard.
What is the Guild's position in this matter? Should such persons be registered or pay a fee to cover insurance of our property? Should this practise be banned? should we turn a blind eye to it as they are our allies?
After many patrols in the vicinity of Naha and Ogishawa, today I had the privelige of escorting some of our trading vessels.
This morning, I had the pleasure of escorting the Kamchatka on a supply run of military vehicles to the Myoko in Shikoku. The run was fairly uneventful, the only activity being a disagreement between the KNF and the Dragons in New Tokyo, which we steered well clear of. Unfortunately, my onboard camera was offline at this point, so no images were captured.
Later, I was able to escort the Abashiri on a Deuterium run from Gran Canaria, and this time, my camera was working properly, so several images were recorded. Meeting up with the trade vessel, we set off from Ogashawa. Barely had we left, than a contact appeared on scanners. As we closed with it, it resolved itself into an Outcast Gunboat! Steeling myself for a fight, I moved to prevent any attempt on the Abashiri. Fortunately for us, it drifted past, seemingly unaware of our presence. The remainder of the journey was uneventful, despite the large Corsair presence in Omicron Gamma.
Arriving at Lanzarote, the cargo was successfuly unloaded. Here, I attempted to contact a Zoner I had heard of about a possible ammendment to my Hessian repuation (we had discussed the agreement on the way out), however, I was informed that he had moved to Gran Canaria, which was, luckily, our next port of call.
Setting out, with the hold full, and my reputation suitably adjusted, We retraced our steps back to Kusari. On the way, I made a slight detour to check out a wreck of a Bounty Hunter ship I had noticed on the way in. Unfortunately, it did not yield anything valuable, and, instead cut down on our journey time, for which, I must apologise to the captain of the Abashiri.
Arriving at Honshu, the Deuterium was safetly offloaded, before we headed home to Ogashawa.

Kampai fellow Security!
I have kept myself available for the security officers to call on for threats against themselves and our facilities. I have received many calls to action due to the relentless incursions of pirates in Sigma-13. Our security forces have been set upon by not only large numbers that exceed our own but also by warships wielding superior firepower and yet we still prevail each time.
Not too long ago a couple os Corsairs in cruiser backed by three gunboats came in and almost prevailed against GMG's two bombers, one fighter and gunboat. Our last surviving ship was able to defeat the last of those raiders. This example was still insignificant to the battle I was called into today....
I was in my tiny office on Naha when my comms went off alerting me that an Outcast Destroyer with an escort of four Falcattas were making an assault on Naha and the Security on duty! I scrambled to my ship with immediate haste. I wasn't the only one that scrambled to Naha's aid, several Security Officers were already joined up with our Lieutenant Taro along with a Merc who came upon this, all formed up to defend our mining facilities.
We went after the Outcast Dessie first, it was the primary threat to Naha and needed to go down as soon as possible. We managed to drive the Destroyer away from Naha but we were relentless and pounded on it as the battle shifted towards the northern oxygen pockets. The Outcast were sneaky and they were now adding a couple gunboats to the four Falcattas already chipping at our flanks.
With the Destroyer down we turned on the gunboats as they were the greatest danger to our ships. This battle slowly raged in the direction of the eastern oxygen pockets. By now we've taken down the gunboats but more Outcasts joined the fray including friends of theirs, we were now dealing with Sabres supporting the four original Falcattas and I'm not sure, could be wrong, but I think another gunboat came in.
Well anyways the battle seemed to last forever after the Outcasts received their reinfocements. Not once did we lose our resolve and determination, each of us held and kept our focus to pick them off one by one in a co-ordinated fashion.
In the end when the battle was finally over with GMG as the victors we made our head count. Kampai! Not a single caualty on our side was taken. The pilots shown above were still with me at the end of the battle, all of us depleted of ammo and in need of heavy repairs. After looking at the data we have recorded 11 Outcast ship destroyed by our small defence force. Here is something for GMG to feel proud about:
I would also like to thank the Mercenary Shamayim for sticking it out with us. It was a very big risk of his life he took by choosing to stay and hold off against this siege. Even if his original intention for joining was for money it takes something more in pilots heart to choose to hang on that extra couple minutes. We have sent you a payment for you heroic role in the defence of Naha.

Subject: Junker plan to ambush Hogosha

I have received word from a friendly Freelancer who happened to get some information from a Merc who had heard this rumor on Yanagi: The Hogosha have a major artifact deal going at Hawaii and the Junkers from Yanagi intend to ambush it.
It is believed that this is going to occur in less than a week from now but of course all this info can be dodgy at best.
GMG security is not to interfere in this. We are to bear witness only. I would like to see report of this in our archives as this is indeed happening in the Sigmas. I know you'll feel the itch to take down a few Hogosha but stay out of range and let them pass. It is our hope that even though Junkers may not be our friends, they end up doing our work and send those Hogosha packing.
I've been on limited duty, for reasons probably quite obvious. A few days ago, however, I was aboard the Naha when I received word that Sum and Kasugai were in combat with Corsair forces. I geared up my bomber and got out there as soon as I could to assist.
Unfortunately, Kasugai was shot down by the Corsair Gunboat "Leonid.Brejnev" before I was able to make it. Sum finished the Corsair moments after, and took Kasugai's escape pod back to Naha, getting him in a backup vessel as well.
Out in the field alone while the other two were getting some quick fixes, and in Kasugai's case, a new vessel, I made contact with yet another Corsair Gunboat, this one reading "[+]Sicarii". I was going to hold back, but then he began attacking a nearby trader. I ordered him to stop, but he ignored me completely, so I jumped in and started hitting him as hard as I could while he focused on the trade vessel. He continued attacking the transport, even though I was dealing serious damage to his hull; enough to completely drain his nanobot supplies. His decision destroyed the unfortunate trader, but doomed himself in the process. He turned his sights on me, and it turned to a stalemate, as he began firing a dual compliment of missiles every few seconds. I took up evasive maneuvers and stalled until Sum could provide backup. He arrived not long after, and Sicarii decided Yungai-kun was an easier target, firing missiles relentlessly at him. His attention averted, I gave the pirate no quarter, and he was destroyed soon after.
Sum's CD and CM were destroyed in the missile barrage, but he was unharmed. We headed back to Naha to resupply, and to meet up with Hatsumi-kun.
Sum left dock before me, and soon began yelling in group comms that there was an Outcast Destroyer near the Naha. Lovely. Jumping back into space, the "Demonica.DS" could be seen not far off, having a troubling conversation with Sum. When Kasugai, now fitted out in another Taiidan Bomber, and I moved in, ordering the Destroyer away, the commander insisted that the situation was between him and Sum alone. A brave one.
I warned him one final time, and he refused, naturally, attacking Sum. The battle wasn't going perfectly, with the commander's apparent target taking heavy fire. We drained his shield regenerators quickly, but were taking fire ourselves. That's when the "Spirit of Akita" showed up, a Kishiro luxury liner I had previously encountered peacefully many times before making trade runs though the system. The captain then hailed me, asking if he should assist. I was taken aback by a trade captain offering his firepower against such a deadly target as an Outcast Destroyer, and was about to turn him away in reflex, then I thought again. Sum was taking heavy fire, and although I was positive we would come out on top, I couldn't be sure that his ship would survive the encounter. I wasn't going to ask the captain to endanger his crew, but I didn't want to endanger Yungai-kun either, so replied "At your discretion, captain.". The luxury liner selflessly jumped into the battle, guns blazing. His heavy turret fire aided greatly in draining the Demonica's backup shield systems, allowing our Supernovas to cripple the warship's hull continuously. After a few minutes, the destroyer was nothing more than another cloud of debris in the Yanagi, the commander's target landing the final shot. Karma.
