Later I was chasing an Ageira vessel down the lane towards Mojave. It was like everyday business until I noticed a strange voice on comms whispering about thirst for blood. I was lucky that the apearing Phantom was not after me, but he also engaged my target. I was curious what he was palnning to do with the said transport, but the appearance of two navy battleship withs some escort gunboats and fighters turned the tide. When they appeared my ships targetting systems couldn't process all the incoming target data and got scrambled. All I could do was escaping. Maybe I shouldn't insist on configuring all flight systems by my hands.

At the afternoon I thought I'm gonna try fishing in Texas for the first time. I caught a GMG guy with a huge kusari train shipping slaves. Did you know they're in that shady business? Well he payed without resistance or hesitation, also told that they need the labour in the manufacturing of plutonium. Well, I'm not an expert but for me it looks that a process like this would require scientists not cheap and expendable workers. I wonder how they do it. Also I have no doubts what would the did to me if they'd cach me in the Sigmas with the same cargo. However later I realized that I was not following protocol according to the diplomatic status of the Guild. So I apologized and sent the money back. But it looks that folks at the GMG takes road-toll seriously acording to the message that was waiting me on neural when I connected next time.

Mr Zokas and I were on patrol in the Barrier when he called my attetnion on some strange readings in the system. The emitted signals was matching one what the database labelled as 'keeper'. My knowledge of those creatures are mostly from historical holotains and drunk stories so I've been quie intrested in getting some first hand information - and to my surprize I've succeeded. Words can't describe the communication what I had with the creatures, but I must say it rips you more than those gaian puppyes after a cardi-booze-synthweed orgy. The actual information what I could peel out from the 'communication' (dont have a better word) was ambigous and also hard to interpret. I have to ask them next time about the war, because what I experienced was not like the Warmongering Squids III what we all saw on 'tain. I had a certain feeling they did like me. Sadly their presence raised some tension in the system, endig with half of the navy circling around the Barrier, hunting the nomads. I tried to drive them away, also to remind them to the borders of Liberty - but even with the creatures help I had to flee with a heavily damaged ship. Before the repairs completed I sensed the destruction of the visitors - just as the fact that it only caused them the pain of 'regrowing their body'. I must browse the archives to see what can be found about that subject.
After Professor Phate joined us we got readings of a Maltese Navy vessel in a system where it must have not been. Mr. Zokas an I started to secure the area, even the Fu Manchu joined the search. The crew of the intruding ship provided us false information about their whereabouts, ship class, and also stated that they're searching for stations that doesent exist. We realized there was a mutiny abroad the ship when it damaged my Bayonet heavily while escaping. Renard suceeded intercepting it and with the Fu Manchu they held the crew hostage until a representative of the 101st arrived and helped settle the situation. The captain of the vessel compensated the costs of deployment and repairs.
And one from today: I was browsing the neural while drinking beer and textuating those logs you are studying now when I got a message to scan a ship at Freeport 4. Since I was near, I hoped into my Bayonet and headed there. It was surprising - An LSF Battlecruiser. In Magellan. I had a little chat with the crew while I was praying for the captain to respect the neutrality zone. He did, so I was haggling him for the nomad remains in his hold while the Fu Manchu was getting into position. After a short chase we evidentaly succedded. The panic was so intensive on the ship, that after a while noone answered on the hailing frequencies as they were runing for the escape pods. The crew was collected after, and shipped to the Slaver Union for re-education.
We started looking for corporate villains with Mr. Sangunetti and a mercenary callsigned Damnation in California. Mr. Sanguinetti took position near the New York gate along the trade lane, Damnation was watching the traffic at the Magellan gate, though that was unecessary, and I was watching the Ontario gate. With this setup we were monitoring most of the traffic in the system, but even so our only catches were a small Ageira mining ship near Mojave, which we had to disengage because of a nearby Navy cruiser patrol, and an independent trader with little cargo. The rest were an Outcast slaver, a Zoner smuggling counterfeit software and a Junker smuggling cardamine (he offered to fill my hold with it before I could even ask).
We noticed a group of Liberty Rgoues operating in the system, so we moved to Colorado before we would draw the Navy's attention.

In Colorado we took position near the trade lanes on both sides and the mercenary was monitoring incoming traffic at the NY gate. Tha basic idea was to him following the target in the trade lane and warning us to distrupt it, since the traders dont know he is working for us, wont start running back to NY when they see him at the gate. Later an Outcast gunboat (Levi) and a Hacker gunship (The Barbaric Fortune) joined our team. With them we had enough ships to watch the Ontario jump hole too. Mr. Sanguinetti was at the NY-Pueblo lane, Levi at the NY-Denver lane, The Barbaric Fortune was watching the Ontario hole and Damnation was still at the NY gate. I was ready to move to either location to assist when needed, but in the meantime I was trying to locate a miner in the silver field, but with no luck (he was somewhere above the plane, always cruising away when I was 12K away). Since the decreased traffic in Liberty we only got two transports worth anything, but no one got past our blockade. After Mr. Sanguinetti's departure we considered to pay a visit in NY, but before regrouping at the gate, the mercenary informed us about incoming LSF and Navy ships, so we decided retreating to Ontario. I still need to practice communication while evading corporate lackeys in an asteroid field, though.

Summary of my recent harrasment in New York system.
Upon arrival I tried to draw the attention of the corrupt police lackeys by pointing out their incompetence, but no one seemed to respond. So I decided to fake the distress signal of an Ageira trading ship, and no wonder both the corrupt LSF and the LPI jumped in to help. I started to redirect them to several false locations closer and closer to the star, but eventually a freelancer figured out the trick and warned the corporate lapdogs. But my long range scans indicated that a Navy repair ship managed to fly into the star, unfortunately the LSF and LPI pilots were not good enough to do so. The communication log.
Aw hell. I woke up in Cassini. I know that from the lack of cardamine smell, and from that slow terminal I use to broadcast. I had some training with the Professors.. So mutch to learn indeed. Actualy I got fainted after being shot down by Phate. I hope my ship is able to take off.
So many things happened since my last log. Actualy I even started to forget what an intresting place Liberty is. Well, there's no chance for it at the Hackers. Now I realize that when I got into the channel where I found the instructions for the initiation process I thought it's gona be... fun. 'Hell yeah, ruin those big ugly corps!' Like a game. Getting better than others. 'That'll help the people of Liberty! -I like happy peolpe ain't I?' 'Thats something what would realy piss daddy off!' And such.
And it IS fun. I must admit. A pleasure. But what a fool I was looking at the other thoughts. What we do here is serious. So many good fellows out there opressed and terrorized by various armed people. Its so easy to get mean crafts with heavy vaporizers these days. Also to pass the borders. There's so mutch work to do out there. It's a strange feeling to experience but -I do like Liberty.
Ah well. Let's see some fragments of my doings in the past weeks. Since a certain humiliating encounter with some Ageira freighter I realized how much improvement my piloting skills needs. So I spent a couple of day studying flightlogs, equipment schematics, and armament electronics. I finished it by rewireing all the thruster, rudder and weapon system controls for a more optimal layout. After that I was bumping asteroids for a while. So I recalibrated all those system again, and now they're fine and I got used to them.
So, I became a scourge of transports. Some Ageira and Interspace guy learned from me not to pass the Barrier at Magellan. I always feel sorry for them. They're just misguied and blinded by the money they earn. I'm trying to assure them, that what I do is done for the greater good. I hope noone takes it personaly. We've been in their shoes.
And about fighters.. It's an inresting experience. For someone who pilots a transport every armed vessel is a threat. Now I started to see how all of them can be differentiated by their skills. Well, against the type who just learned how to take off I preform fairly well. My favorit encounter was when I wanted to extort a bit more than I could handle, and I engaged three DSE Hegemons in Colorado. I thought I gona be real patient and strip them off their bats. Well, they hired a guy against me mid-fight. I'm still proud of myself being abled to make him flee in a burning vessel while being in that crossfire. Well that Xeno guy told me well, I'm good at shield running. Sadly the authorities came with fighters to end my fun. But even the DSE guys admitted that playing tag with me was a lot more fun than minig.
What reminds me of the Zoners. Hell I can even act like some diplomat. Well, I know how to make my tie, but thats something I would never have thought before. Dady if you'd see me now... I wonder how convincing I was. Did our work worth two shipment of precious ore? Well, time will decide. I hope the tech-guys will do their thing well. I wonder if I could get miss Moon supervise them, just for a bit. Aw hell... Ah well.
I concluded the arranged demonstration of our drone control technology ordered by the Zoner Ore Extraction Inc. in a dedicated channel. It went fairly well I must say - looks like our technicans did everithing well creating the prototype - and I'm under the impression that the ZoE directorate feels the same. There was even a representative of the TAZ present.
So our minig droid preformed fairly well. It followed my instructions and also theirs. It did not make any mistake in the minig process, what's more it even scratched my hull when I simulated an attack against one of their Hegemons. We discussed the minor changes what should be included into the final version of the software, also they were looking like accepting the proposed payment of two ore filled transports. That would mean the handing over of about 7000 cargo units of gold ore - since the silver deposits of Liberty had been depleted. Once an offical contract will be textuated and negotiated we'll be able to schedual the transportation of the payment to the secure deposit. Also I'm planning to ensure their safe trip form Dublin with the available members - apart from the obvious reasons it would mean mutch to show a company who plans to ship masses of gold trough the Barrier how profitable cooperation with the Hackers can be.
I was out there in the Barrier with Mr Walcot when I just routine-scanned a passing hacker in a Broadsword. I noticed he was using some nomadic disgustness for propulsion. He told me that he bought it in some Freeport at the end of the world (FP-11 in Omicron Delta to be precise). I forced him to land and sell it in Mactan. I guess the guys at the equipment dealer were surprized a bit..
Wow, Mr.Sanguinetti, I have to commend you on a lrge body of most exellent work.
especialy the info from post #416 and #417.
Its the most skilled Hacker pilots like you that make it possable for Hacker scientists,
like me, to sit safely in the lab all day.
I extend to you my most gratious thanks and..
"Now formaly submit recomondations for comendation to the Hacker Command."
Ahh miss Moon, thanks for those word. However I'm far from being skilled. I just piloted a transport for so long time that I know where to shoot on to get the maximum effect. But I'm trying.. And about that cardi project.. Well I'm still keeping for those pills to see if they realy cures or dampers the effects of the withdraw but you see.. well I just need to have a good mood to start. Last time it took me five hours without it. It was not so bad as I expected just... well, every time I experience some tension or unsureness or when someone starts shooting at me I just prefer to sniff some. You know how's that, one problem at a time if manageable. I even started to wonder about finding an outcast voluntier for that noble task.
Next subject. The depletition of the libertonian silver gives us a good time. Magellan has some trafic again. There are even miners who operates in our very neighbourhood. Today Mr. Zokas and I encountered an Interspace one trying to reach the Barrier.

I must say the interception of the vessel was exemplary - as we aproached it from oopposing angles. I guess the pilot was aware of our intentions, since he tried everything to get away expect stoping and negotiating with us. Their loss only benefits us, but I hope that wasn't so major setback for them to cease the operation of minig iridium there.
