Now, if you were running a publicly available server, then Port Forwarding or a DMZ machine are needed.
Hm, I was under the impression that NAT is enabled by default on most routers. If I turn mine off I can't connect to the internet at all...and doesn't NAT restrict the flow of data?
Frustration reaching critical mass again... Got up to trying to get my name server IPs, but I can't get into my router's web interface. For some ungodly reason it doesn't have the default password like it should. Whee...
Letting the irritation subside, then calling my ISP. -_-
It looks like nobody has posted here for a while. But I'm having the same trouble as Orin. Vista laptop, went through all the steps of Dboys tutorial and I'm still not about to connect. I get the same error message. So... anyone come up with anything?
Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell 'em I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found serenity
But you can't take the sky from me
