' Wrote:New suggestion for the Ship Infoboxes, see the talk page
Oh, and can we PLEASE get rid of the fugly extra spaces that show up after external links? Please??
Suggestions not3d. I suggest you first talk to Chris as he has to write some background coding for the format. If you know what you're doing feel free to edit the template yourself (in consultation with Chris.)
The ugly space is because the icon that is supposed to be there went invisible during the wiki re-formatting. Nathrael is working on a replacement.

I don't know who he is so I'll leave that till later.

You can remove the icon by adding the following to monobook.css:
I looked at your comment on the ship infobox talk page, and have been debating this myself. I've been thinking of the two types as 'Fighter torpedoes' and 'Bomber torpedoes', but nomenclature can be figured out with a poll or something.
The issues here are:
1) Not every heavy torp hardpoint can also mount a CD, an issue with the current template as well. For an example, look at the Bull Dog.
2) Some ships can mount either the 'heavy torp' or the original torp class, examples are Mjolnir and Mafic. The big issue here is how do you represent this? If you just put heavy torp, you imply that it can't mount the fighter torps. If you put both, it looks like more hardpoints.
I'm currently leaning towards using the unmodified template, including both types in the torpedo count, and just including the specifics of the hardpoint[s] in the hardpoint info section. This would mean that in addition to specifics about shield mount and gun/turret mounts that it would explicitly list anything that can mount either torp type and/or CD.
I have put a hold on people using my generator for now until this can be worked out, as I think that a bit of a delay is better than having to redo everything if the consensus changes.
Come see us in the skype chat or IRC sometime, I'll be glad to go over it more there, and am always open to ideas.
Some say that he's a CIA experiment that went wrong, and that he only eats cheese. All we know is that he's not The Stig - he's The Stig's American cousin. Wiki sysop (admin-ish) | I do custom ship renders (and bases)
Editors, as of now, you should start adding Jump Hole locations to other systems into the system you are editing. This information, of course, will be hidden and marked as a spoiler. It would be nice if you edited the already finished systems.
Refer to this system as an example: Omega-54
For simplicity, here's the script: ==Jump Gates/Holes==
{| class="wikitable collapsible collapsed"
!Spoiler: Jump Hole/Gate Locations
|-
|
|-
|
{| class="wikitable sortable"
!Target System!!Location!!Type
|-
|[[insert system]]||insert location||insert jump hole/gate
|}
|}
