I am against nerfing NPCs..... but I am for lowering their numbers in space for minimaly 30%

edit: and I want of course godlike aiming for station turrets in exchange for this:)

Yes 1600m/s razors do hit smaller things than bombers... which is why they have 1500 m range.... ever tried staying out of it?

I did quite a few mission against BHG Dessies.. and it never failed to amuse me to witness the most brightest tactics put to use by some fellow Corsairs...like charging to 300ms from those dessies to eat every shot...


Interestingly, NPCs are INVULNERABLE beyond 1500m....Yet another reason why the NPCs are so much stronger than the Players.

The NPC's are a little hard. The nomads seem to have got a bit harder with their shields and stuff. Quite annoying and some of the missions are really difficult. I was taking a mission in the Omegas against the corsairs, it all seemed all fine at first, just destroying a few Titans and then I was confronted with 3 Osirises!! They had shields and Razors I think because I got owned in like 2 shots :(!

It is a balance issue and should be dealt with. And guess how much the mission was for? Only 300K :mellow:

Yet I took a 550k mission expect some bomber practice and was confronted with 2 wings of 5 BH VHFs.
So i disagree that the NPCs are too hard but i definatly agree about balancing out the missions.

I disagree. My turrets used to be able to pick them apart from at least that range when I had a big ship. Nowadays I just have a Corvo... Not sure about its range.

Reasons I like the new NPCs

1) I used to go murder cruiser and BS patrols when I got bored. The BS patrol may tag my shields a bit but it wasn't hard.

Now I go take on a cruiser partol to hone my strafing and cap skillz. It is a heck of a time and fills my Cap killing adiction.

2) I used to cruise around in TL just avoiding BS stations. Now I won't go near any base. Kind of exciting actually having to fight for your life in the right spots.

3) Allies and Bases will help you and assist without turning on you. They deal some damage on top of that!

4) Teams taking missions, nuff said. In all honesty, PVP is fun but working with friends to fight tooth and nail vs a group of Battle ships..... Epic.

5) 100% more win with realism and RP encounters. Dern those Kusari Naval fighters actually helped a bomber kill my bret dessi.

I tested that not ten minutes after Mjolnir said "then stay out of the 1.5k range" because I thought it was a rather brilliant idea for making, as mule suggested a while back, a quick couple mill. Unless it's changed back in the past hour..Well, I rather suspect you are wrong.

I'm -very- sure this is wrong. Edit: just tested at 2k distance.

About the infinite powerplants on Titans... a player Titan can fire a Tizona + 5 Salamancas for a very long time non-stop, with short stops for dodging practically non-stop. NPCs have a much lower refire rate, with that rate even a player powerplant would stay full all the time. Result: the player Titan will hurt you much more.
For capital ship NPCs and their wepons fire I refer you to Mjolnir's post a bit higher.

Remember that NPCs don't just hit the fire button like normal players do, each weapon on the ship individually tracks and fires on its target, the result is what seems like a constant stream of fire but is really only 2-3 guns firing at one time.

What as the result of the test? I want to say that I did hull damage, but not shield damage, making them effectively invulnerable at beyond 1500...because I'd have to strip their shields from closer.
