it is not long ago that nerfs were asked about cruiser razors being able to razor bombers.
- cruiser razors being slower than battleship razors - bombers being smaller and much more agile than gunboats. - and players found it perfecltly fine to argue about it for a long long time.
so - if a cruiser can indeed take its razors easily against bombers.... i am certain the very same cruisers can easily hit a gunboat....

They won't be able to kill fighters and bombers, assuming they can dodge. Razoring a bomber and having 3 razors hit isn't that easy. It takes 2 razors to kill a fighter, and 3 for a bomber. I honestly don't see the problem here, as this was the EXACT same argument that was brought to me in my bomber nerf thread. If the fighters/bombers know how to dodge and not joust the full pulse/razor GB, the GB will no longer be able to touch them.
GBs are not the jack of all trades, not even close.
no need full pulse/razor.. get 2 Razor 2 Pulse and 2 Missile..you have your almost uber BHG GS...

Yes. That's what they are meant to do. primary turret and some razor or pulse on top is good against gunboats. Even the light anti-gunboat cruisers (called destroyers) can fire it often and that's why it's handy, much more than a light mortar, for instance.

You forgot the part where the GS only fires 4 guns forward.
And what use are missiles if you use them to take down a bomber's shield?
A bomber/fighter that doesn't want to be hit by razors or pulses, won't. Only if they joust the gunboat.
The thing is, if a GB wants to be anti-cap, then they can't perform anti-fighter tasks, only against unskilled players.
If a GB wants to be antifighter, then it can't take down caps.
I really see no argument here. The GB is not a "jack of all trades". For that, I'd point you to a bomber.
Missiles are simply the most powerful anti-fighter weapon for gunboats. You can have all cap weapons and have 1 or 2 missiles and you will have adequate anti-fighter.

on the BHG GS, i have one rear fireing missile, it does nothing unless i use all kinds of crazy tactics to fire it, and then the fighter/bomber just use's a CM or two and dodges.

Most gunboats have move than 4 forward-firing turrets though. 6 lets you have 3 razors, 2 pulse and a missile. But yeah I don't think there's anything unbalanced about that. It's an anti-cap loadout balanced with a missile for 'some' anti-fighter ability. It's not much different to a bomber with a missile.
Gunboats are not so powerful.Order gunboat Hathor is very slow,small agility and in every fight he gets destroyed first.Lot's of people tried it and it's not very good against anyone.

It's a rock. Tried it in SP. But looks beautiful despite it's flaws.
In the end, Bombers are so much better than GB.
GB Razor is 18k hull?
SNAC is 140?ish 130?ish
