Soycoco, a great example to follow is that of OsoRojo's. He did not do anything controversial, got a Hessian Crusier, and blew up RM NPC Battleships and posted a good RP thread about his actions...You could try something like that...

Well Dab is a complete Start Wars nut, and Corellian sounds like a the Corellian Corvette in Star Wars BF2, so yeah, something like that.

Hmmm... yap... Oso did almost the same thing that has been done by SA when they claimed to been able to assault Mactan... and they did it when no HF was there... I do think that neither Tank (in the mactan case) nor Virus (in the Berlin case) would define these behaviours "good R-P"... somebody called it "powegame"... Soycoco, I suggest you to avoid this kind of stuffs.

No, there was a difference between Oso and the SA.
The SA claimed to have beat the HF at something while slaughtering simple Dagger patrols over Mactan.
Oso simply went around and said the Rancor had defeated a Rheinland battleship in Rheinland. Not implicating anything about the RM player faction. What the SA did, was make killing a bunch of LF Lane hackers who were defenseless (the RM patrols are NOT defenseless as those) into a victory over HF, also claiming you boarded a base you had no hope of boarding, and capturing "Every leader and sent to sugarland." Oso simply killed a battleship. He didn't go board Planet New Berlin and kill the chancellor.
Yes. There is a thin line between too-RP and RP...
So the idea, Soycoco, is to NOT do what Nussebull did, and do something more like what OsoRojo did.
And Lorry, like Dab stated beforehand, Oso's thread about the RP was WAY more complex. So, we clear his rep from now on. Soycoco, you can probably dig up Oso's thread somewhere. It is a fine example of what RP should be. For some writing samples, I suggest reading how the GNN News threads, which are pretty well done, as well as most of the stuff by Dab and/or Nightfall. Should give you a good idea of what good RP threads should be like.
@ Dab, nice work on that Nova PG thread, especially the beginning with the screenies with the Ravens. :)
One last thing...This thread has really been jacked, and I'm sorry for jacking it more, Lorry, but it appears to me that over the past few days, the entire SA is being pilloried(quoting Mal) for powergaming.
Nussebull is relatively new to RP, and he made a mistake. You should forgive him for that, but you should not condemn the entire SA for powergaming by refering to it as "the SA". Sure, you could argue that at the time, the faction was existent and made up of one member, but now that there are many members in the SA, please don't go around browbeating about how the "faction" committed the crime of powergaming.

Two totally different situations.
Maybe... still I partially disagree with you. The two cases display some differeces but are not "totally" different as you said. On the contrary there are many similarities. I agree with you, Oso has been a "lighter" in his claims. He has also worked more on his storytelling (and that's good). Don't take me wrong... I'm simply trying to be objective and I think that... it might be that the fact that you are the leader of AW is sligtly biasing your judgment. By the way, they're both learning, I guess.

Lorry, why would the fact of my leadership of AW make me biased in the case of Osorojo and the SA? Osorojo has nothing to do with AW, and I believe my comments on the SA were the same as a large group of veterans here on the server. Excuses anyone?
