Let me just reiterate what Dusty said about SNAC controls. You should have it set as a different weapons group otherwise the reticule will be calculated for 600 + m/s guns rather than the SNAC.
First set the key "1" or "Ctrl 1" to select first weapons group, "2" or "Ctrl 2" to select the second weapons group and so on.
Then set up the groups (assuming you don't put a missile on your bomber). Press "1" and select all of your guns. Press "2" and then deselect the guns and select the SNAC. Press "3" and deselect everything except the TCD. Now "1" "2" "3" should cycle through those weapon groups, and you will fire the active group with your right click. Always select weapon group 2 before aiming your SNAC at your target.
If you want to be super fancy and you extra buttons on your mouse, hotkey "Fire weapons group 2" and "Fire weapons group 3" to the mouse.
Note that sometimes the groups get messed up, so before a fight ALWAYS check your groups and reset them if necessary.
Actually what I said is that you can assign the SNAC to weapon group 2. Then assign a hotkey to fire weapon group two. Which is similar to the torp fire button brought up in the OP.
However, that is a very poor plan at best as the SNAC does not dumb fire particularly well and really does demand being activated in its own weapon group for proper aiming.
Though, slightly off topic, I generally have two snac weapon groups. One for the snac by itself and another for the snac and the CM. So I can calmly line up a shot while gunboat missiles start flying at me.
' Wrote:1) You can set the SN to a weapon group and, thereafter, a hotkey to fire that weapon group.
2) If you fire a SNAC prior to it being fully ready to fire again, in either energy or weapon recharge time, you activate the worst bug in the entire world which causes the SNAC to fizzle, miss a cycle and then you're flying around while that STUPID EFFEJFSIOJHFIO GUNBOAT'S SHIELDS RECHARGE AND YOU DODGE AND YOU DODGE BUT ALL YOU CAN THINK IS "WHY ISN'T MY SNAC FIRING" and "DID I TAKE OUT THE TRASH" and "OH THAT 'OL BALL AND CHAIN IS GOING TO GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE. I hate that snac bug.
I've tested this in game. It is nothing more than a rumour. Probably assumed to happen because of the reduce in firing arc.
I tested it 2 ways, by rapidly tapping the fire button and by holding it down. Either way, there is no extra lag between shots.
Unless the problem is isolated to a select few bombers, this bug doesn't seem to exist anywhere but your mind. In fast paced combat, a SNACs recharge can seem longer than it actually is.

You are incorrect.
Don't really know what to say beyond that. It's a pretty well known issue reported by tons of people =/

Sorry? Tested it in game myself, so I'm not blowing steam. There must be more to this than meets the eye if some people are getting it and others are not. However, no bomber I've ever flown has had this problem.
