Another thing in the SCRA is Im sure that the coalition is not all that truthful (YaY! Propaganda!), if the Corsairs are no longer of use to us Im sure Aeon will have us switch... but for now it seems to be the right course. And the weapon technology is more then enough to be aligned with the Corsairs...agreed? Also I would suppose that we just hid under the radar in the first forgings of the great houses, as said; THEY just discovered the omega-49 system, Im sure we did not JUST discover the house systems.
Oh and think about it, as good eye's and ears in military branches, most pirate groups will either fear us, or find us useful,(fear we'll sell info to the military, or be happy we sell info about military to them) as well as that 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' and I don't see any pirates aligned with any house military or police, if I was a pirate I might think an SCRA BS is a sigh of relief, because it's an 'organized group' of military that won't blow you to bits if you have the wrong cargo, as well as rob you at the fist sign of useful cargo, so we are 'nice' to pirates as long as they are 'nice' to us, Im sure Aeon would agree.
Also Xeno's are too...'Zoner like' and Im not sure but Xeno's are the guys who don't like house interaction or trade? am I right? well I don't think we care, also we may have grown up on a Zoner planet (before the Zoners found it I might add) but the uprising of the faction in this case is making a political statement: 'we are here' and that in basic 'we are here with an attitude', which the corsairs being the aligned faction is politically correct in my eye's, a very good choice to alert our enemies of our presents behind a powerful group.
Those of freedom walk with guns in broad daylight, and as the weak are killed freedom becomes nothing but a dream.
I think the junker ID might be an idea, because we are searching for misc bits for the "mothership" that we're sending to Sol. Would anyone be up to modding a system for us that we could buy, instead of using an existing system, becuase none of the current systems fit our RP. Me and Aeon had some ideas about it, if anyones intested, give us a shout

author's word:
this took a long time in coming, and maybe it's too late. my faction has gone through some rough times as it has tried to find its place in discovery, and people have wanted us to conform to their ideas of rp.
these following installments will be interspersed throughout the coming month. i ask that you not post in here until i say the thread is open for discussion, which will most likely be after im done writiing it all. if you really wanna add something, pm me and we can discuss it via pm. ill be moving slowly, to make sure i get all the detail i can into it.
Transmit to: The Citizens of planet Gran Canaria, all SCRA personnel
Transmit from: High Chancellor Aeon, RAFC-Dreadnought, location unknown
A face appears, one that not many people have seen. It looks aged, and drained. Visible for all to see, was the High Chancellor himself, 193 years old. he sounds tired and thoughtful.
Greetings to all my compatriots, not just in arms, but to those also who contribute to our culture, our way of life that we SCRA protect. We have long been rooted on this planet, and it is indeed a wonderful place. Warm seas, lush forests, towering mountains. We are lucky to live in such a place.
The SCRA has long sought to protect our haven, both from pirates and from unwanted outside influences. To a large extent, we have failed. That is because we have used our military forces unwisely. The forces we wield have fought many enemies, and killed many people. They have also taken a more negative side, as a place for young men and women to die. We have gained a reputation in Sirius, and it will be hard to shake. A reputation for adventure, violence, unwonton killing, and destruction.
I hope to turn away from that path. From now on, we will use our great armed forces for one purpose, and one purpose alone, to protect our own...
You see, I have actually spent some time thinking for once, and with the help a close friend, one Pops Waverly Esquire, a new course has been chosen. This course will take us on a great adventure my friends! One throughout Sirius, and possibly beyond.
Without further ado, I am announcing a new policy directive.
From this point on, all SCRA are to return to Omega-49 ASAP. They are NOT to leave the system for the time being. No SCRA vessels are to fire upon any ships except those attempting to disrupt trade in Omega-49 or those attacking us or our allies. If you need to stop anywhere, do it on the way to Omega-49. Once here, you arent leaving.
All members of Captain (Naval) rank and above are to report to Scarborough station in Newcastle immediately for outfitting with a Large Train. If you do not want a large train, you are permitted to buy either a Luxury Liner or Prison or any other freighter type ship for sale. Choose WISELY.
[ooc: you can either make a new character or replace an existing military vessel with the freighter]
Each transport ship will have a minimum of two escorts assigned to it. These are to escort the vessel around Sirius. You may go wherever the Freighter commander wishes. The escort will comprise of a capital ship and a fighter or gunboat. Bombers are not needed.
The object of our mission: to collect materials, personnel, and ideas to help us build our mother ship. Your other mission, find a construction site to build the mother ship.
At the end of each day, the freighter commander should report in to the High Command. For starters, we are creating one convoy.
This mission is of the utmost importance, if we succeed, our home awaits. All that is needed now is the equipment and will. Let us see who steps up to the plate.
Aeon sat quietly at his desk. The polished ancient "wood" from Gran Canaria gleamed dully in the low light in the room. The desk had been his father's, and before that his grandfather's, and... well, it doesn't really matter.
He was musing over recent events, feeling rather nostialgic and all. His latest directive, to wander Sirius for new technology and expretise for gigantic-hull type ships was coming to an end.
The original plan had been for the SCRA to build a mother ship, of large enough proportions to transport anyone who wanted to go with them, back to ancient Terra and the Sol system. However, recent events had changed things somewhat.
Although they had created fewer convoys than he had anticipated, something magical had happened. One of the convoys, 006-45, a survey expedition, had run into an uncharted jumphole in Omega-49 and decided to see what was on the other side. They had brought back images captured from a quick system survey they had completed.
They had found a system, with a beautiful planet. More detailed surveys taken in the last two weeks returned with information regarding the main terrestrial planet in the system, indicating it was capable of supporting life, and indeed had its own complex ecological system already.
However, just like any place, the new system, dubbed Omega-168, was not without its dangers, and one of the cruiser escorts was lost in a dense uncharted asteroid field after cruising into it and disintegrating; all hands were lost.
Shaken out of his reverie by a sudden tremor, Aeon called the commanding bridge officer on duty at that time.
"Commander, what was that shaking?"
"Sir! I apologize, we had to vaporize a rogue comet in our course, that was the particulate remnants hitting our shields." The man replied.
"Couldn't you have just turned out of the way Commander?" he asked.
"No sir, it would have hit us abroad-beam, we had no choice. I can provide a full status report if you so desire."
"No, do not worry yourself about something so trivial Commander, that is all. Have a good shift." Aeon said.
"Thank you sir."
As Aeon sank back into a day-dreaming state, he began to think about all of his future plans for his people. Wars, alliances, back-stabbing, and other under-hand dealings all came to mind. He began to wonder, being so old and all, whether he would live to see all his schemes come to fruition.
"I certainly hope so, at any rate. Although, being 193 Earth-years old doesn't give me a lot confidence..." he quietly mused to himself.
Aeon sat up suddenly. An idea had occured to him; he had remembered an old policy that had never really gotten off the ground.
"Aeon to the bridge, send out an encrypted transmission to all our personnel stating that we are again collecting passengers, including VIP's and prisoners, from shipping vessels in Bretonia, and the Omegas."
"Roger that sir, I'll get right on it." the comms officer responded.
After that, Aeon slowly dozed off, dreaming of the good old days...
