I don't have the answers either. In my zeal to heal the rift caused by the Illuminati those millennia ago, I may have been too vocal in my support of our Brethen from Kobol.
I shall only say further that I feel he BSG/CR deserve the chance to survive here in Sirius, just as the Servants of Eris do. How that can be guaranteed remains to be seen.
And that bloody Talarca has the softest, most unprotected underbelly in the game. Kinda like the fish.
Since I have flown a Talarca before, I can tell you the likely reasons they are good..
One; Manueverable, but not overpowered in that spot. It is a LIGHT cruiser after all.
Two; Small size, same as above.
Three; The energy capacity is higher than the turret-number would suggest. This is what is causing it to be a bit overpowered. It can keep shooting infernos much longer than the other cruisers could, at least an extra 2 infernos shot when you just hold the fire button down. It needs the regen time up a bit. It regens too fast giving it too much power. The capacity is fine though.
Also, it can be used against both. A few bombers could agree with me.. 4 Solaris, 2 infernos, 2 battlerazors. Use you agility to your advantage and it does quite well against both. Select the solaris and one battlerazor, and you can do massive damage to bombers. Use your agility to keep your distance from other caps, while you bombard it from a distance, at the same time you dodge their guns. You do almsot as much damage as they WOULD, but they can't hit you back. You can take out a battleship that way.
The Viper turns just fine. Every ship has tricks to use to improve them in a fight, go find them. Along with their missile immunity, and rather small hitbox compared to others. Pretty good trade-off.
The Templars are extremely deadly when there is only ONE. You don't find SWARMS of them, you find 2 per battleship and cruiser groups. Their weapons are quite deadly, especially against gravitons.
Or you could use 2 Adv. Debilitators plus 4 of something else. Nomad cannons, I'd say you could use them. You can get them off kiled Nomads, and CRI modifies them to be used on Human vessels. Also, codenames are just fine for anyone, as they can be looted from around the galaxy, by any faction.
@Doom, you know the Talarca has small hull, but large firepower. Kusari Destroyer doesn't have its agility, its energy capacity or recharge, or its small size. Only the same turret number. I'd say the Talarca is pretty well off. Given time, and skill, it can kill a battleship.
Dab, thanx for the info, that was what the people I told me, in spite the numbers for power capacity being the same as the rest of the cruisers.

Kusari cruiser has completely same power source and power regen as Talarca.
It cannot fire any weapon longer then any other cruiser can...ALL cruisers have same power source (except maybe RH) and same regen rate...ALL cruisers can fire exactly same number of shoots by two infernos. Math here is simple...and very easy to prove in game...
Who says that Kusari needs to be smallest and fastest cruiser in game?...BHG destroyer is smaller then both Talarca and Kusari cruiser, Kusari has most weaps and hull exactly the same maneuverability as BHG destroyer, and Talarca is fastest with very light hull....even "cruiser transport" Lux liner has more stronger hull with same agility of kusari and BHG cruisers...
Vipers are fine...there some tricks to speed things out...but that doesnt change the fact that they have slow turn rate...we only said that...i am still pretty hard target even in a viper that nerfed...
Before u make a post do try to find out the facts and then come out with them...
The regen rate is NOT the same as all other cruisers. It is increased. I've flown the RH cruiser, Liberty cruiser, Kusari Destroyer, Outcast Destroyer, and the Talarca. And the Talarca beats them all except the Outcast Destroyer, in power regen. Your right in that fact that the capacity is the same, and I don't remember saying it was different from the others. I said it regened back to full much quicker than the others.
Also, the agility is better than any other cruiser, but it is a LIGHT cruiser.. Except for the fact, that the turret number is quite common with the other cruisers. More agility, same firepower. Yes, Liner has more hull. Now lets go compare SIZE. Its TWICE as large as the Talarca, only a 1/5 more hull.
And your wrong on the Kusari Destroyer. It only has 9 turrets, which IF they haven't been changed back from 4.80, 4 of them are level TWO turrets. The Outcast Dest has 12 turrets, Liberty cruiser has 7, with an extremely powerful forward cannon, Nomad has 10, Red Hessien has 12, and the RHC has 11. Thats over half the cruisers. And they have MORE turrets than Kusari Dest does. So don't give me 'most turret' bullcrap.
If I fought a clone of myself (I'd love to see that fight..) the clone in the Talarca would beat me in a Kusari Destroyer. Its agility is better, regen better, capacity same, turret number almost the same, and size its much bigger. So no matter how low the hull is, its formidable and one of the best cruisers out there.
I believe this ends the 'oh-so poor Talarca' discussion.
Oh, did I forget to mention the Kusari Destroyer only has a measly 35k more hull? Thats not that big a difference if you would care to notice. With VIII armors, thats 2 cruiser battlerazor shots difference.
BTW, Viper might have a slow turn rate, but the probably make up for it in another area. Sabre has a not-so-great turn rate either, but it is quite formidable against capships. Had a better time in the Sabre vs a cruiser than an Eagle, and I'm twice as good in an Eagle than I ever will be in a Sabre.
ALL cruisers except RHC have SAME regen and SAME power output. Those ARE the facts...
Kusari has about 25% more hull then Talarca, Talarca has 10% better turning rate then Kusari - same logic u told about Vipers - u lose some u get some.....the strongest cruiser has 100k stronger hull, that is 60% more hull then talarca...and still has almost the same turn rate as Kusari cruiser...so from where i am standing kusari is the one unbalanced...not talarca...
I am not saying that Talarca isn't a good ship..in my opinion it is great...but its stats completely are with in other cruisers stats...
The fact is that every cruiser can beat every other cruiser...they are well balanced...
And two shoots from razors can mean all the difference in a fight.
But this isn't point of this thread..we can continue this kind of conversation in MOD part of forums...

Not trying to accuse you or anything, but if you got those stats from Datastorm, they are wrong. There's a glitch in the system that causes it to list all the Power Outputs of the capships as the same thing.
I'm pretty sure that, the Talarca DOES have more power than the Kusari ship, but less firepower due to less guns.

Well the posts up to this point need split if that is the case.
Now, for one 160k out of 195k is indeed 20%, not the 25% you threw out.
Also, btw, the regens are NOT the same for everything. As I said. How many different cruisers have you tried Doom? I've been in over half of them in my time here. Regen and capacity can be done separately in ships.
And so you know, the RHC has nowhere NEAR the turn rate of the KU Destroyer, the BHG Destroyer, the Talarca, even the Bret Cruiser is better at turning. The thing turns like a brick. I'd say the Talarca is twice as better at agility than the RHC. I own both ships and flown them both extensively.
BTW, those extra two battlerazor hits you have to make, well the Talarca is quite good at DODGING BR shots itself.

About RHC i said it turns almost the same..but not quite...

I said Talarcas stay...and i dont care if u think that they are overpowered of to agile or whatever...they would stay if they move like a brick and have hull strength of a starflyer...we see it as our RP ship no matter on place where it is sold or who made it...Can i make that more clear for every one?...If u want to call us bad role players then by all means feel free...We are working on weapons change but that is only thing that we will change... So if u don't like it i really cant help u...
