Can't we set Flood to automatically delete any thread which has not been used in the past, say, 3 days? It certainly would take quite some load from the server.
Also, let me use this opportunity for saying "thank you" to the people behind the server and the forum. And another "thank you" for the absence of ads on these forums.

Just a thought.
Hoodlum
Uh... No offense, but we are actually trying to help Igiss (and ourselves) by improving the site. Delete this post if you want, but read it first.
You have some very good ideas! Very up to date and full of Common Sense.
But the problem is that these wonderful Ideas will fall on deaf ears! The Admins don't seem to have the intelligence or common sense to take good ideas and use them to their advantage.
Want to know the secret of getting fast action out the Admins! Well just file a false complaint against another play, base it on anger and fear or any other emotion. The Admins will start sanctioning everything that they can, based on false information. They do it almost immediatley!
Sanctioning player seem to be only action the Admins know who to perform quickly and errorously!

Well Flood isn't used just for spam. Many people have their own personal RP indexes, various lists, etc.
Book of Not3d for example.:P

I fully agree with this one. Cheers, folks.

Well it'd be a little hard to track them all down and move them to general areas of the forum.
Who knows how many there are, and how many people wouldn't see the notice of having to ask them to be moved and people'd lose their work.
I mean I sympathize, but Flood would first have to be manually cleaned, the remaining threads that don't belong moved, and only then a time limit set.
And that time limit shouldn't really be under a month..
Anyways, from what I gathered, there were far more practical optimization tips stated.
Like removing the little forum clock, and various other side gadgets from the main index page, www.discoverygc.com that is.
Because, as far as I understand it at least, when one guy loads the page up it doesn't take just one connection, but several, because it sends queries for many things.
I don't know what I'm talking about, though.

I figured people might have a problem about me claiming posts if I put it anywhere else. If a moderator/Administrator wants to move it, they are free to do so. (As long as they inform me prior to moving it.)
