Poll: Gallic Junkers

Now, this is a good opportunity to re-purpose and re-model the ships mentioned so far - the Gitano as a Gallic Junker Light Fighter, the Bulldog as a Gallic Junker Heavy Fighter, and the Waran as a Gallic Junker Bomber. Few, if any, players are using these ships right now, and with new models and infocards they would easily fill the purposes of the Gallic Junkers.

Er. Sure, take the Gitano. Maybe you can take the Bull Dog even, maybe. But the Waran isn't even a junker ship, and it most definitely is used. Really got no grounds for taking it.


As for all the other stuff: Do you think a faction that spends all of its time repurposing abandoned spacecraft is going to somehow produce the worst guns in the game?

I voted all of above. I mean, there was a historical connection by both groups, galics and sirians, but with time they went on diferent directions. And i guess the only way the had to communicate all over this time was "radio", bo personal contact so no give away sirian tech to galics, maybe blueprints of ships and another blueprints. And the galic junkers might not been wreck salvagers, low class yes, but why salvagers? They use to be on king`s court and yes, they have dirty hands, but i guess they are no wreck salvagers because there are no wrecks to clean, no field debris. Beside the Maquis and Brigands wont allowed them to move freely has sirian junkers do.

What gives you the idea that the Waran is not a junker ship? I havent seen it's infocard in .85, but throughout 4.84 it was classified as a Junker Bomber and sold only on junker stations. To my knowledge, it is still only sold on junker stations, and it probably still has the same infocard.

It has always been a generic quasi lawful ship. It just used to only be sold on the Junker base in New London. Ex-Hessian in theory. A run of the mill semi shady ship that anyone and their mother has access to.

Those are the abominations you're looking for. Though to be honest I would not be saddened in the least if the virage and havoc were re purposed. That would give you a full lineup right there.

But yeah , the Waran is Ex-Hessian , generic Unlawfull/Quasi-Lawfull. It just happens to be the best we can get our hands and that most suits us... seeing as the Recycler is <strike>a monstruous pile of poo</strike> not really a bomber. I really dont see it beeing turned into a Gallic Junker ship.

If you want to make new Gallic Junker ships , I'd say go ahead. On one hand , they make sense RP-wise , on the other the mod already seems littered with enough ships as it is. ( of which we still have the imports to replace)

What gives you the idea that the Waran -is- a Junker ship? The .84 infocard did NOT state it was a Junker ship. It has always been Border Worlds. The current .85 infocard, which is the one that matters, states it was Ex-Hessian and is now a Black Market ship sold to anyone. That includes the Xenos of Gonzales Station.

I've seen 3 Reavers, as well as quite a few others. It is used, so no, you're not going to steal it and make a new model for it, mmkay? You don't get to do whatever you damn well please Tenacity, I'd have thought you'd know that by now.

You want a ship to remodel, go remodel the Bulldog. That actually -is- a Junker ship and needs a remodel. How about you ask those that fly the Waran before you think about remodelling it.

WAR-4b "Waran" Border Worlds Bomber

Before development of the Aesir shipline, the Red Hessians made use of this bomber. It, frankly, isn't very popular for a number of reasons, including a reputation for fuel leaks, the large profile that it presents to enemy vessels and the fact that it is as ugly as sin itself.

With the acquisition of finer craft, however, the Hessians dumped the ship onto the open black market wherein the bulk of the Waran found quick popularity with the "more power, more guns, fewer problems" crowd, which it turned out included virtually anyone interested in blowing things up. From Junkers to Gaians to Marauders to Xenos, this ship has found universal employment by pilots for whom style is not a concern.

Sorry Tenacity. No go. Even Xenos have the Waran at the moment.
