First to the Zoners and Order, they can have a lot of fun collecting samples as well as observing the behavior of the organisms.
Second, they could drop something valuable, like organs, that some smugglers may be able to harness. The way I see it, this could be contraband for zoners and order.
They would have to be their own faction of course, and have the cabability to inflict damage on you (a very small amount).
This is my concept drawing:
It's simple enough, the jellyfish.
Cruise engine would be between tentacles and effect would be a yellowish fluidy ooze. The weapon is a short range (10m) gun that inflicts 1000 damage, a stinger.
Just something I woke up with.:ylove:
It would be like the wildlife in any MMORPG. I like this concept. It would be a lot more fun forming up with/studying/harvesting these instead parking my butt in Kappa and killing Nomads until my eyes bleed.

A kind of Space Worm like in "star wars" maybe? You know, the big one in the episode 5 (or 2 for the old persons =) who infest Asteroid.
But i'm pretty for the jellyfish, jellyfish was one of the first species on earth no? So, why not in space?
For simple "mineable" species, yes, it can be funny, but for me, one of the most funny thing to do is a kind of Big, really big, monster in a retired system (nomads system for example) who is really hard to kill, but with a good loot, cargo things (wildlife for example, the smaller creatures that she eat, or some humans commodities, like ships engines, hulls, or weapons, that she eat too.). But a very hard to kill monster, that a lot of player have to be in group to have a chance against him, i'm thinking about 10-15 ships (bomber class).
I like this, but rather than the earlier suggested GM theory.. You could just add them on a patrol that takes them through Sirius, or the sections of it inhabits.
You could probably control spawn and death through FLHook, from point A to point B in system C, then move it to system D and repeat.

retired? Nah. We remove things we retire. We actually have nomad Players here
