Quote:Let me tell you why i like the pytho. The SNAC and razor slots are on the main hull meaning they fire from the center that makes it easier to aim. So from the use of the Razor and the SNAC point of view it is a very good bomber.
I forgot about that point.
Take the BD bomber, my favourite bomber, even after being completley and utterly nerfed.
The torps fly out from the centre. Do you have any idea how much that helps aiming?
Usually, I suck with bombers. Being the worst PVPer on the server.
But with the BD bomber, I find that I can actually take something down... heavy bombers are a very nice target.
However, if it had 2 torpedo slots on either side, I would doubt so much that I'd be able to hit anything.
Note other things: The Pytho has a larger powrplant than the Falcata, and it's also easier to aim with a SNAC than it is on the Falcata. Trust me, it's been discussed.
If you want it changed, talk to Doom, it's his model.
Nighthawk just said that their powerplants are equal, Darkpearl said that the Falcata one was bigger, and Seth just said that the Pytho one was bigger. Who to trust, oh who to trust.

I thought the Pytho one was bigger, not the Falcata one
I was just wondering why is Falcata more agile and has more armour than the Pytho (Which I thought that had Heavy bomber powerplant, apparently it has light bomber plant, if Nighthawk is right)
FLStat says their powerplants are the same. 38200, light bomber powerplant.
Falcata max angular (rads): 1.0250
Pytho max angular (rads): 1.0116
However, the Pytho reaches its maximum angular faster than the Falcata. Not that it's noticable though, since FLstat says that the gap is about 0.01 seconds.
ok...pytho is what bombers should be...bad against fighters but do their job against capital ships...
I made it with two turrets and only 2 lvl 10 mounts to prevent it for being good fighter killer and to prevent endless firing from lvl 10 guns...if you cant mount them...you cant fire them...
As for power plants both falcata and pytho have same one...
Pytho is larger the falcata but it has lower fwd profile...
i made hitboxes for both ships and they are very precise...
EDIT: i forgot...Pytho has torpedo mounts on its wings and not on the hull
I agree that the Pytho, or any other bomber, shouldnt be able to take on fighters. However, its wider, the front/back profile isnt really important in group fights, since you are usually not jousting the target.
And if you talk about what bombers should be, look at Barghest, Fafnir or Waran. In my opinion, these three superbombers are the only ones which are "right".
