RE: Run-in with o49 Corsair pirates
My.. You folks should look at the state of my ship! My game is to get bank, not lose it..
I was doing transport work with a fellow IMG| mining ship in the o49 niobium feild the other day.. Quite uneventful - had about six other independent vessels around us, when a certain Corsir Ghost.Ship came and demanded "protection" fees off of all of us. Needless to say, I'm here to get bank so I refused. Anyways, a couple of the independent miners said they had paid another Corsair previously, so we all should've been alright. Not to him though.
I tried getting all us miners to bunch up and use force of numbers to take down his gunboat, but to no avail - he he picked us off piecemeal, one by one.. I managed to get our fellow miner to safety but I wasn't so lucky. Just got what's left of my tanker tugged to Gran Canaria.
I heard that GM Hargreaves moved his battlecruiser back up to the Taus - he should've kept it down here in Dublin. We need defence fighters here ASAP before guild members get killed..
The repair workers say tat damage is extensive. Main reactor is cracked and needs replacing - that has to get shipped in from Rheinland.. All of the portside boosters, targeting subsystem's fried.. I wont be off planetside in at least a week.
Hope that miner fellow is okay. Haven't heard from him since this incident.. I want to get more bank off of him sometime.

RE: anti-smuggler operations.
i was watching some of the scanner feed from falkland, and noticed a confirmed smuggler heading for 23. so i got my pytho fueled back up, and headed on an intercept course.
i managed to catch him, and another smuggler with holds full of cardimine in teh tau 29 system. after they refused to drop said cardimine, and attempted to flee, i was forced to open fire. around this time about four outcast stilletto patrols showed up.
i was forced to jump back into 23 and limp back to java, my ship leaking fuel.

RE: Increasing organized activity of Outcast / Cartel in outer New York area, California Jump gate space.
I flew out of range, not engaging three Outcasts VHF loaded with Kraken Type 2 and cannonball rockets, these are simply no joke and those Kraken guns put our Vampire guns to shame. They have a tactic where one fighter stays within the gates of the Jump gate waiting for a runner from the other two to try to jump system. It is impossible to run as the fighter, just within the access of the Jump gate causes a navigation error, forcing the running ship to correct course. This leads to the ships destruction with no chance to defend or even run. Be warned they did not care that I was an IMG member nor that I was warning any other systems of the impending ambush.
The Outcasts are getting very organized and their fighting abilities are not to be underestimated.
I have devised a flying pattern that should be very effective upon fighter vs fighter combat. The Outcasts and their Cartel counterparts are experts at the thruster slide maneuver where they get in front of you, hit the engine cutoff, and with their momentum still keeping them going, spin around and fire a single Mini razor shot that takes out a fighters shields. This done a few times places any fighter into a defensive posture rather quickly.
The only way to combat this is to fly in wings of three. Side by side fighters that stick in close formation and concentrate on one and ONLY one fighter at a time. Even against more than one combatant, the Outcasts do not fight as a group but in trained patterns. With a three fighter attack wing, the fighter that becomes the most damaged, switches to the interior of the pattern, leaving the two fighters on either side to provide continual cover. Repeat this process and the Outcast/cartel fighter will have it.
NoI have not tested this maneuver, but the theory is sound. I call upon any IMG defenders in a good fighter to join me to try this out. The transport groups are pretty good at organizing, but the Defense force of the IMG is painfully unorganized. As I said before, I am not the best nor do I claim to be some fantastic tactician, but we have to send a message as a Guild and as a family, we will not allow this activity from the Outcasts or any faction, openly seeking to take our livelihood from us.

RE: A call to action
I apologize for anything that may be construed as impolite and out of rank. Im going to do my very best to be as calm and professional about this communication as I possibly can.
Where the Hell is the IMG support?
I have spent the last week, running and getting my ship, my ships, torn to shreds by the Outcasts and Cartel. These are NO pirates, not a rag tag team. Ive held off a squad of Royal guard longer than Ive lasted against TWO of their pilots. This time, taunting one of the bastards, I got vid images of one of their ships. This is a standard Outcast Saber VHF.
There were four Outcast pilots, one in a Lane Hacker Gunship, two Sabers and worst yet, I had to fight off a Raven Talon fighter. It was flown BY a member of the Outcasts, equipped with their standard Kraken guns. This is our own fighter being used by the enemy and obliterating anyone and everything that has the misfortune of running into them.
I respectfully suggest that we stop underestimating the Outcasts as they are growing in numbers. I am asking, no, imploring the IMG to prepare fighter training courses in the Connecticut system for the defense forces. We are simply under trained and unprepared for this threat. We cannot rely on outside sources to protect the IMG crafts and avoiding the Outcasts is not helping. The Bounty hunters up and run when they are half beat and the Navy is turning a blind eye to the matter. I listed over the comms as a USI captain apologized to the pilot of the Saber fighter. While flying the Jim Dandy, all I could do was sit there stunned.
Maybe I have take this all too personal, perhaps Im letting vengeance get in the way of things, but I havent heard a word from IMG on my recent transmissions and I just want to know our efforts are not falling upon deaf ears.
I know we are not a war machine, but I saw the IMG standing up, in force before. This is why I joined the IMG.

RE: A call to action
I understand your frustrations Mr. Spire, however we do not have anywhere near the numbers of the Outcasts, yet we have over three times the space area to try and patrol and protect fellow members in. Are you using IMG encrypted frequencies to alert fellow members you are under attack? Also, are you using an IMG-designed molecular sheild or a generic civilian graviton one? R&D experiments have shown that Outcast krakens are most powerful when being used on graviton based defense systems. Molecular or positron based defence feils are recommended instead.
I shall see whether more pilots can be redeployed to the Tau sector, however I m worried we may not be able to spread our patrols any thinner in areas like the Omega system without grave consequences.

RE: slaver interdiction
ran into another slaver in the tau 23 system. he managed to jump to 37 before i decided to open fire. Red three of the colonials assisted.
the slaver was destroyed, and some of the salves rescued. as this point we had two fighters on us, one of which, dropped a nuclear mine...... the cargo pods from the slavers ship were vaporized.... no more slaves were rescued.
after turning my attention to the outcasts who had came to assist the slaver, i was forced to land on falkland after my ship ran out of nanobots.
note: he is flying a vessel which is of zoner build. this is a worrying factor in our fight against slavery in siruis. i will send the evidence to them.

I am pleased to inform that in a very short while the Candela will be fully armored, armed, and ready for active duty. We have equipped a range of weapons equally balanced for anti-capital or anti-fighter battle. So, once the pulse cannon is installed and mints put on the pillows I am looking forward to our first set of orders. Fighter patrols have been uneventfull at best lately.

RE: Tactical reassessment
Confirmed message. Mr. Hargreaves. I agree the current situation in the Tau 23 systems is slowly growing out of hand. I have been contacted by a pilot who was quickly recruited by the Outcasts who goes by the handle, Returning. He contacted me requesting to join the IMG. His status with us is a positive one. I point this out due to the nature of his recruitment by the Outcasts. He was approached by an outcast pilot and ordered to follow and shortly after he was purchased a heavy fighter out loaded with Outcast weaponry and given Outcast status. This type of quick employment is what is causing the sudden increase in Outcast pilots.
I went to the Connecticut system and flew a simulated combat run with a Liberty bomber and my type of Raven Talon fighter. The maximum flight time was 1.2 minutes, and the quickest was 32 seconds. The second run was me, spending most of my resources evading and avoiding fire to little avail. I have compared the combat, without the activation of the libertys bomber AMC and the fight ensued for over 7 minutes. The Anti matter cannon appears to be an affective anti fighter as well as anti bomber and Gunboat weapon and can quickly turn the tide from a short conflict to a quick and deceive one. I have flown the Pythos bomber and found it to be a nimble craft even for having the bomber status.
As the Guild may or may not know, I fly The Jim Dandy out of Java within the Tau 23 system, mining for the IMG while keeping my talon fighter a short distance away at the Trade lane construction site.
My official request is to transfer to a Pythos Bomber. I have visited the tau sector that constructed the Python bomber and know they are permitted to be flown by Colonial pilots under the IMG guild. I am not aware of I can retain the IMG status and pilot the Pythos. I am also aware that I have alluded to this in the past and was told that IMG would better benefit from my skills as a Raven Talon pilot. I would ask, if any provision can be made, to take my request into consideration. I feel that with a Pythos bomber in the Tau23 system, I could better assist in defense of the Guild and its members.
A special thanks to the pilots of Red squad who have frequently patrolled the Tau system. Their service under fire has been well appreciated.
As always, I will follow the desires of the IMG and defense division and look into my Ravens current shield configuration and head back to Freeport 5 for refit if needed.
Thank you for your time.

Hello all i know i have not said much on here and have been under the scanners a bit but, iam alive and well.
I come to you to just inform you all about myself and the goals i have planed. Ok must of you all know me as the piolit of the IMG|Cowboy.Bebop[T] by do you really know my real name? My name is Gene.Starwind some of you all may have seen me out and about on the local stations, sitting at the bar getting drunk, or blowing things up in my bomber.
Life is ok my wife currently left me Due to the fact i care more about making Credits than my own family. Fine by me ill buy another (Joke). They moved to somewhere in Liberty space where they will be safe iam sure. So now i aim towards the protection of my people of IMG and the recuits who need our help.
Currently i put in a purposal from registration on my bomber to get it offical, Fingers crossed. Its just all these pirates and the taxing from Junkers in omega 47 have gotten on my last nerve. I have equiped my self with a shiny new Pythos and the best of weapons, tho iam not fitted for fighter my main capability is for cap ships and they really dont stand a chance.
Today i was able to do some patrol missions with the friendly CR people and it went very well i may add. we stopped 3 cardi summuglers and killed 2 Outcast, a good day in my book. It was truly the first time i seen combat in the new ship and i loved it!
In any case i just wanted to say hello everyone and yes iam still here and well.

SUBJECT: Bounty.
Today I was going back from Jakarta to Java after weekly check of my Roc, when I had met some mercenary guy . He said that unfortunately for me there is a bounty on my head, and He is goin to kill me... I decided that it is bad idea to fight in bomber against fighter (especially that like always I had forgotten to reload bots and bats ...) , and lured him into the range of Java guns. After his shield was striped, I was lucky enough to hit him with my SNAC. The most interesting thing... this mercenary seemed to be a member of Mandalorian Mercenaries...
