Brand newly installed freelancer, brand new disco installed on it. Having issues with the screen not being aligned to the center perfectily. It is about an inch off to the left, having the left side not appearing, while the right side having a black stripe where the in-game screen doesn't extend to. Probably a software issue as setting H-Pos on the screen itself did not help it.
Aet: Not a whole lot we can do from our end - this is a help request, not a module bug. I suspect a problem with your graphics driver.
Freelancer ID + Perilous council GB= 56% nerf, when it should be 75%. The forward gun is the thing giving the nerf, when it's supposed to not since the update.
Aet: Looks to be already fixed. Next time list your full weapon loadout.

[05.07.2012 22:21:45 | Edited 22:25:47] Syrus: Uuuuuh...I found a weird bug. (probably already in there from vanilla):
I have a mission against caps, the caps go >4k away from the waypoint, I follow them, kill them while the guy is telling me to get back in range of the waypoint and the time counts down, a new waypoint spawns.
Now, timer stops, I head there. Suddenly the guy tells me "we read you back in range blah blah" ... and the new waypoint disappears and no waypoint is around anymore and nothing seems to happen anymore, but the mission is still active...
[05.07.2012 22:21:52] Syrus: Oh wait, now they spawned
[05.07.2012 22:24:00 | Edited 22:24:13] Syrus: So, guess I reached the second waypoint and, even though it didn't show, the spawnscript still worked oo (waypoint reappeared once the enemies spawned)
I'm pretty sure this is not a new bug which came into the game via 4.86.6, but I still wanted to note it down and felt this is the best place for it. Might even be a bug which is around since vanilla and hardcoded.
The problem with this never occured before though, since snubs never went >4k from the waypoint, they'd start flying circles before they'd go over 4k. With caps now, including GBs, Cruisers and BS, they often head further out then 4k.
A suggestion would be, if possible, to increase the radius of the mission waypoints. But heh, it's just a minor bug, not really necessary to fix if it's too much work. :)
Aet: We'd need the source to the game to do that. It's part of the blackbox that makes up most of the mission system. Can't fix.
============== CRASHES IN JUMP SEQUENCE ==============
Me and a few other players have been having this issue. We've been trying to jump from Tau-31 to Tau-23 and the jump sequence isn't finishing, then the FL program crashing.
Aet: Not enough info to try and fix. List:
- Lagging yes/no?
- Which ships involved?
- Do you also crash when jumping alone?
============== NPC IFF bug? ==============
BAF is friendly on rep sheet, BS Norfolk and surounding trade rings are neutral. http://i.imgur.com/4cTcn.jpg
Aet: This can happen when you are doing, or just did, a mission. Normal behaviour.
According to the rephack draft spreadsheet, the Blood Dragons are not supposed to have any kind of rephack with the Lane Hackers and should be able to get full rep with them. However I just bought a Lane Hacker bribe on Ames in Kepler with my BD ship and it reverted to -7 hostile as soon as I undocked.
Also, I have done the above twice to confirm, and just noticed that the Liberty Rogues are also still -7 hostile, and there is not supposed to be a rephack with them either. So that's probably broken too.
<strike>The jumphole from Tau-65 to Tau-44 seems to be broken; you get the animation, it gets to the flash where you change systems, then more animation, then more animation and more animation forever, and you never come out. F1 and restart, and I am still in Tau-65, a few km from the hole.
No telling when it stopped working--the last time I can remember using it was back in 4.85</strike>
worked today... must have been really laggy when tested earlier
Aet: Good catch. Should be LI0701_fix_ship. Fixed.
so I recently started exploring Coronado. I must say you're all doing a wonderful job.
so I recently started exploring Koeln. I must say you're all doing an amazing job.
some time ago I explored Rousillon. Impressive. Particularly the music on the planet that was a nice surprise.
so I recently started exploring Omega-55. LOL... NOMADS. LOTS AND LOTS OF NOMADS. SHOOTING THINGS. I GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE. (and I was thinking, jeez I can't remember what that one was from the news. I hope I don't run into a nomad system)
recently started exploring Omega-41. what did you guys do to the star? that new effect there, that's impressive.
