Hows this for a wiki logo Hyung? It uses the gallic flag, gallic colours, some transparent stars and that background for buttons in FL.



Update-Thanks for the tip Hyung, used agency FB font and did little highlighting thingy.

Both are a bit too similar to each other. The blue, I don't really like so much. Wiki Experiments have shown that particular blue is hard to do a scheme with. Also the text is too simple. I don't like how the cyan is interacting with the red. Both feel like quite an "old style," because of the text choices. Not modern enough. The red and thinness of the top Neural Net text is fighting back and forth with blue/green/cyan background that it's on. It's hard on the eyes. The purple outline doesn't really match with the white Reunion. Not really what I'm looking for. Try using less colours, and less different styles of text. Also, too big for the logo size. 155x155 is the logo size.

Try using one colour as the main colour.

I like. It's got the Disco fluerdelys, which is a bonus. Good proportions in the positioning of text. Purpley is nice. Kinda cool shadowing and embossing. Maybe a bit too much light explosion from behind but it's ok. I don't think the black outline on purple Neural Net works very well. That might be the size of the outline that is contributing to that uneasy section. Good modern concept. Thanks. This is along the lines of what I want. Not necessarily this much purple or this particulr style, but it's one worth considering.

This is the first one to introduce the circular text. That's an area worth exploring. This logo reminds me of the old atari game headers. This is heading on the "old" track..not one I want. The red text down the bottom is really hard to see. Bad colour choices, but also the solid drop shadow behind the red text is fighting with the red text for visual focus. Old style Fleur-de-lys, with old style fonts, with old style colouring. Sorry, not what I'm looking for.

This is starting to look more modern. The logo background is too busy, but if that were bigger or used for the larger background image it might work well with softer tones. Interesting blue and white "modern style" fleur-de-lys. That's an area worth exploring. The orange text needs that ugly black square gone or fixed. The Discovery Freelancer Reunion text is starting to get on the right track. Black is good.

I see definite possibilities in this one. It's different and interesting in a good way. It's not complicated. It feels modern, uses a good colour scheme. The only major concern I have with this is the fuzziness of the small logo. I checked it on a black background, and the Neural Net is quite fuzzy. There's also a glow which changes the feel of it somewhat. I do not like the fuzziness/jaggedness of the black outline in both the large logo and teh small logo. That needs fixing. Also fix the fleur-de-lys overhang at the base of the "F". Perhaps make Neural Net a bit stronger?

The Background. Really nice colours. Problems: It's a bit too easily identified as a circuit-board. It is not yet repeatable. It looks like a picture that's been "jiggled". It is going away from the spacey-nebula FL idea that I had at first, but it has potential to be used, with some adjustments.

Pros: both the logo and background go really nicely with each other.

I adjusted the image, according to your hints. The outline of the 'Neural Net' has been fixed, the size of 'Discovery Server 24/7' was increased and the emboss effect improved.

The smaller one actually received some changes to make the 'Neural-Net' part readable.

I like Ventanas very much, though imo, we should use something that's not "boxy". Some curves, shapes and transparency would be awesome; El-Geeko's already heading into that direction, though I think his logo'd need more "flash" and no resizing (imo, it should have been done in the desired size from the beginning on).

Maybe I'll give it a try later, too.
