The Greyhound has the same plant as ships like the Raven's Talon, the Sabre, the Collector and the Templar (!).
The Guardian, the smaller Liberty VHF, runs with a smaller plant than any of these ships.
The Sammael laser uses about 600 energy a second to be fired continuously, which is toward the high end for fighter guns but still far more efficient than the Xeno Black Widows. Other guns that use roughly 600 energy per second are the Molly Trefoils, Bretonia Sunrails, and the Tizona Del Cid.
For the record, the Debilitator uses a good deal less energy over time than those guns.
I don't hear many BAF people grumbling about the Templar's plant issues despite it having more guns that use the same amount of energy yet having the same plant, is all I'm trying to say here. Do your math before you go making claims like this.
' Wrote:LIES! The Greyhound doesn't even HAVE a turret. Your experiences while haxx0r-modding do not count.
The werewolf could turn as well as a Liberator, but it wouldn't change much. It's still too big to dodge things in.
So I guess my play experience means nothing in it then, that's your opinion though and yes the Werewolf has a turret which is what I was talking about. I mentioned Greyhound after that. Oh and let me just point it out to you: Werewolf power capacity: 15900. That's a hilarious power plant, you REALLY need to try to keep it drained at all times. So once again 5 Sammaels + Razor and I never ran out of energy, and I tried it just yesterday. And I know for a fact that Werewolf wasn't touched during the update, so it's no "hax" as you would put it.
Quote:I do not know about your claims that it can razor like a mad man. Before the update, not even the Barghest could do that. And I really doubt your claim that I have four guns I always have the energy to use. I have to fire in very short, quick bursts, or all my energy is drained.
And again, it is not a small ship.
It is a small ship. It can razor like a mad man. It has a 12k reactor, while the Guardian has 11. Hell, the Sabre has 11k and the Eagle which is still bigger than the Greyhound by a long shot has 10k. The Greyhound is tiny from the front, it is not that high and it is long, which means the only way that you hit it is from the side. Markam already said that, what is so hard to understand here? The Greyhound has a better reactor than most VHFs (12k capacity, 1.2k recharge), 4 guns which you may see as a problem but if you see the ship as an HF (which it pretty much is) it is actually a perk. And unless you really, really try, you will pretty much always have energy in it to razor and fire guns. How do I know? Because I fly Odin with 12k reactor with 4 Natterturns and a Deb = guns which consume a total of 83x5.88x4+128x4.00x1=1952+512=2464 energy per non stop second of shooting. And I can razor people at most times unless I end up in a chase fight. Your mentioned loadout of 3 Sammaels + 1 Deb (which personally I wouldn't use unless I geared for a really laggy chase fight, normally I would mount sidewinder instead of the deb, or perhaps CB, but whatever) on the other hand uses 72x8.33x3+128x4.00x1=1799+512=2311 per second of shooting. While that is still quite a lot, it is still LESS than the energy use most ships with reactors its size need to cope with. Sammaels are still 750m/s speed (sync with debs), and do overall about 300 more dps than Natterturns do, as Rogue guns are high energy use for high damage which actually makes it... best 8.33 refire gun in the mod on a ship that is a deal smaller than most ships with a reactor of its size.

Yes.
Quote:The BAF and Molly Guy said that events were taking too long because they couldnt shoot the Molly. They werent able to kill it.
BUT
That also means the Molly wasnt able to get rid of the BAF. See? You both werent able to kill each other.
You're taking up a failed and illegitimate argument, again. These complaints came from 4.84 when the ship was bigger, thus easier to hit than it is now.

This also comes from a time when a stunning percentage of BAF pilots would do literally nothing but shieldrun when under fire.
Just sayin'. There's a reason these fights would just not end.
