*raises hand* Question! Couple actually.

1) How are you to tell if you're in a new field or not? Are they marked by some sort of buoy or new stationary miners or something?

2) Do the new fields show up on the nav-map as mineable zones? I think the answer to this is an emphatic "NO" b/c the Tremont zone certainly doesn't.

I've been flying around to certain mining sites, and can't find the new Dresden field, the Tremont field's pretty difficult if you don't know where it is, heck they're ALL pretty difficult to find if you don't know where they are. I'd suggest (please) that the post somewhere buried in the forums about where the new fields are located be posted into the mining guide, and the new fields be made findable.

I think I mapped all of dresden square for square and didn't find the diamond mining area. Found copper and cobalt, but no diamonds. :( If I did, it only gave me 1 ore for every 2-3 rocks I shot. MinerID, Fighter Mining Turret, Spatial.

Well, Samura and Kishiro are meant to mine Gold in Dublin too. <strike>I'd just like to know if there are more new gold fields than just the ones in the molly and BMM fields? Did I miss one?</strike>
Second thing is: If we are mining gold there, can't we get a selling location for it in Kusari? Maybe Planet NT or the IC station to keep it neutral

ALG uses it to collect scrap. It's not a "mining" ship.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

The mining system is finally paying off. We have encounters with pirates, terrorists, and various other foambags continuously both around Tremont and along the now-quite-well-traveled-transport-routes. It has led to enjoyable and profitable times for all kinds of people. This, I feel, is what makes Platinum mining in Pennsylvania so great.

The Barges Brilliance and Radiance are now empty, or close to being empty, again. We had mining worked out before, now we have a relatively smoothly running system for transports. Many people are benefiting. We've had a number of people try to pirate us only to change their minds and end up just buying the Platinum, while others are determined to take profiteering to the max.

Goes to show how well the system works, don't you think?

That makes much sense to me. If we're going after gold, shouldn't we be in a position to use it? Isn't that a huge part of why Kusari would want to get the raw ore instead of getting it refined?

I think Planet New Tokyo would be good, or Narita would be quite good, as it's centralized between major Samura and Kishiro facilities.

The future of Gold and Niobium in regards to Kusari came up in conversation tonight and will likely be implemented at a point in the very near future. Right now I have a few other projects I wish to wrap up before tinkering with that.

you can do what i do......
i mean what i dont do....
which is mount all 10 turrets as Transport Mining Turrets then go to a favorite spot and tape down the right mouse button and move the mouse so it spins the ship around and around and around while firing all turrets (most)......

in about 3 hours, you will have a full hold of <insert favorite ore here>
then you just tractor in (every couple of minutes?)

walk away and do other activities such as golf, phone conversations, aimlessly browsing the internet, life, etc...

then proceed to nearest base to re-mount your regular turrets before you take a 10 minute trip to sell the "ore" at its highest selling price....

automated mining!

i mean......i dont do this.....

thats absurd!

Yo dusty, it says that ALG get a bonus to toxic waste, yet there seems to be nowhere listed that buys it for a decent price. spending 40 mins to fill up my ALG ship for about 200 per seems sorta... low.
