Nah. If you don't have an internet connection it's a pain in the ass to use. Boot your PC up with no internet connection and it takes half an hour before it starts in offline mode. If steam or one of your games has to update, you can't play your games until you've connected to the internet again. If you're not logged into steam, you can't play your games. If you don't have internet, you can't log into steam.
Plus the whole Left 4 Dead 2 thing pisses me off. I mean, I love L4D, but what Valve has done here is equivalent to if EA released every single Sims expansion as an entirely new game. Imagine that.

That's true, but nowadays there is no point of having a computer unless it's connected to the internet. Having a computer without it ever being connected approximates to Sprolf wagon...

Yeah, but for those people that don't have internet? I couldn't play my own games for the past 10 weeks because of stupid steam.
I would call myself a Valve-fan boy and I too, get no problems with steam. But...
DLC? I hope it lives up to Valves name as a non-profit DLC maker. Because paying another full pieced game to what is essentially a "large update" to the core mechanics made me very un-happy. Why did all there other games take so long to make, yet this one is out within a year of the first one? I mean I clap to valve for making such a good game in less than a year, and compared to all these other mainstream games that have just been chugged out witch everyone seems to think is gods work, apart from me (Halo,MW) its a great game. But I'm disappointed in the Pricing and suddenness of it all.
