' Wrote:Every mod update, Transport Captains get effin anal raped, without a reacharound courtesy...seriously.
Uh-oh, sexual innuendos! Help me, mother, my ears are being defecated upon.
In all seriousness, I find the opposite. I find Transports are far too good. The average Transport armor is even greater than the average Gunboat armor with Liners and the Barge removed. Quite ridiculous, 'eh? Especially since Transports are made to trade and Gunboats are made to ravage space-lands beyond their own. Not to mention the fact that they have miniature Gunboat weaponry which, arguable, makes them better for Piracy than a Gunboat. I find that to be a very large "Reacharound", but, seeing as you seem to be more experienced in those matters, I'll leave that judgement to you.
' Wrote:None of the corporations should be using jumpholes - ever.
McNeo pointed this out to me once, and I vote it as the only exception to this rule: IMG have Large Trains in Tau-37. Other than the IMG in the Taus, I rather agree with my Chris friend here. There is one credible source on the use of Jump Holes, and that would be Agiera Technologies. Whether they are lying about Jump Holes or not, there is really no one else to believe, and so the Corporations are horribly scared of the damage Jump Holes could do.
' Wrote:I bought an adv train, as my mastodon was limited to craptastic trade routes, and LOLWUTTER pirates who shall not be named. I Have been scouting trade routes, as all of them sux.
Please, define for me, the term "Lolwutter". I am severely confused as to what it actually means. It gets thrown around so much that it's meaning has been lost.
' Wrote:I have personally flown my geb right outside of tekagis base in choguko or wherever it is. NO NPC's what so ever. and that's supposedly their home.
I say, GO TO YOUR EFFIN HOme.
Try Omega-55 or Omega-58. Hey, at this rate, Sigma-13 and New Berlin can become the Wilde's home!
Ah, and to think, Corsairs in Sigma-19 and New London are OoRP now. Not to mention the Outcasts everywhere past Tau-31. They're even as far as Texas. Oh, god, and the Blood Dragons and GC in Shikoku. Someone, find a Sanction Report quick!
' Wrote:Also, Slave liner has more weapons, I have...like 1 rear turret, and 5 forward turrets, and a big long ship with a target painted on every cargo pod...
And when they hit those cargo pods, they absorb damage as a component and it doesn't damage your hull! Woah, good thinking, Cameron. I've got to get the Caernarvon painted so Pirates can get distracted while pirating me, too.
' Wrote:1.Bombers got buffed, their faster fire rate gives us absolutely no chance, whatsoever if its a lolpirate. Don't argue, *cough* Dab, The upholder can sustain continuous fire for 1 minute. The barghest has a larger powerplant, Put it together and no matter how you slice it, 4.0 refire, will rape you.
Yes, but, you see, those Bomber Guns drain energy which, in turn, stops you from firing your SN. You chainfire those guns and see how many torpedos you get off. If you wanted to shoot with guns, should've picked a fighter.
' Wrote:2.Trade routes got Nerfed. It is dam near impossible to find a decent trade route, that nets a good profit, at a decent time pay off.
Hey, man, I don't know. I never seem to be able to find routes with little enough profit as to complain. Terraforming Gases and Polymers have need been so appealing!
' Wrote:3.Every large Transport, with 5k cargo, has crap for weapon mounts, no cm's, and get disrupted by player cd's, or rape npc cd's easily.
Hrm, it's like you have to choose between defense and profit. Oh, what's up balance. As a 5k with 5 guns, even, the Train gets even more shafted, since it has the ability to defend itself to some extent, and so the armor is even less. Nothing is more distracting to someone than those nice, nasty miniature GB guns shooting at you.
' Wrote:4.There are so many LOLPIRATES in disco now, I may as well trade in a capship, so I can rape them...oh wait they all upgraded to cap 8.
Lolpirate? Is that similar to lollipops? I hope they're just as delicious. I really wish this was an RP server, don't you? We wouldn't get so many people complaining about all the RP if there was some kind of RP server around...
' Wrote:And Corsairs all the way in Leeds (if I'm not mistaken).
You are mistaken. There are Outcasts there pirating in the West Leeds Smog field, but, no Corsairs. I hate it when I see Corsairs in Leeds, and Outcasts in New Tokyo/Shikoku/Kepler/Galileo/Colorado, for that matter. Like the rest of that ZoI wasn't enough.
EDIT: Quote fail...
EDIT 2: I give up.

I was actually told to Double Post. I feel so special.
' Wrote:Large transports effin sux. Period.
Did you ever think to just stop using them because they are worse in your opinion? It's like we have a choice in what we do in this game. I wish it was called FreeBLANK to specify that.
' Wrote:I did say, that the NPC's are overpowered, spawning in groups of 12, and cd spamming the crap out of you. I love how you grammar nazi fool's jump in on every ones posts, drop your "I R NERD" bombs, then fly off.
So, what you're effectively saying, is that you want to play the game without the game part? I too hate it when I fail at a challenge! Damn me for not picking something that tests my ability to play this game and make me feel accomplished when I beat it!
' Wrote:Transport weapons are ok. The fact that the 5k transports have crap armament, no cm's, and have huge blind spots is not.
See above.
' Wrote:I don't care if you have 3k + posts, Sovereign, you still don't get it.
Contrary to popular belief, 2k posts does not make you a god. The only thing it does is make people read the little thing under you're picture and think you're either really cool or a jerk. I'm the latter.
' Wrote:Bombers can chain fire. I have seen it, I don't give a eff what any of you say, bombers with a 4.0 refire rate is ridiculous. If your gunboat cannot take down a transport, then you need to learn to play the game.
Also contrary to popular belief, Gunboats are, arguably, the worst ships to pirate in. They are easiest to hit and have ships which are particularly made to kill them (See: Shire; Akegata; Behemoth). What you should say is that if you cannot get away from a Pirating Gunboat, learn how to RP lying to a pirate.
' Wrote:The point of this thread was, The wilde are overpowered. It was an observation. I got that the Nomads got better, because everyone was nomad harvesting. I get that rogues/pirates get gunboat patrols. I get BHG getting dessie patrols, I even get the Cap ship patrols in House systems. The point I was making, was, again, that cd spamming npcs, in packs of 12, who spawn all around you, as you try to thrust away, or redock with a Jumphole is ridiculous.
You seem to misunderstand. Jump Holes are dangerous. This is because all sorts of rapscallions are found around Jump Holes. This is the second reason why corporations listen to Agiera. Even if JHs are safe to use, they sure as hell ain't safe to be around. Pirates can't get through the Gates, and so they certainly make use of the JHs.

Back again jinpo? whining about your little train getting owned by 12 ships? if it was 12 players the result would be the same. I fly a liner, which is arguably the most massive tradeship outside the barge.
Gunboats out thrust it, speed wise, and its only saving grace is its fire arcs. I have to agree with Mitchel on the point that Transport guns DID get screwed, altering the guns back to old style. As for against bombers? yea, transports DO get brutally raped. Fire snac, doge, fire snac, doge...
some bombers have the sheild to actually kill with guns alone.
Do i disagree with the point about the wilde? yes. Do i agree that transports need more kick? I indeed do.
Who was here in 4.84 and he was doing diamond run NB to NT he must knew Wilde NPC's like his shoes. Yeah they are pretty dangerous, but that's a risk. Bigger risk, more money.
Can pick up the odd GMG mission against the Wilde in 13. Fun stuff. Usually takes place in an unmarked "open" bubble soutwest of Naha. Reminents of the fleet of Wilde that GMG scattered when they were returning to Rheinland from Kusari. Darn mess those Wilde made in their initial run through to Kusari but they faced a mobilized force on their return trip. They are pretty tough in 13 but I found the Titans to be tougher. Hard to say. Both seem to have armour equal to gunships.
' Wrote:I remember when some Junkers deliberately spawns some scorps around the NB hole in S13...and watched traders explode.
I haven't been able to do that in a while. A high-paying Wilde mission puts out NPCs like the ones you find in Omega-58, that shred you to atoms in a heartbeat.
They probably just need to be in smaller groups. I was exploring NB and came across the S13 JH. I had seen a few 3 pilot wings of das wilde around but I had managed to avoid them. I jump to S13 from the JH to see where the other end is located S13. I come out, there is 12 wilde fighters waiting for me on the other end. They must have killed me within seconds. I didn't even have a chance to start my normal engines.
So in summary, my opinion doesn't matter, though I still think they should be more spread out (is that the right term?). Their ships and equipment is equal to the highest level pirates and that is fine. They don't need to be nerfed.
