Actually, I have been able to score a Wilde mission out of Yanagi since the update, I keep trying though. I wish I had thought of that scorpion thing, that would have been entertaining to watch.

If you don't know how to fly a Shire in combat against NPC's - then yeah, they will.
First off, make sure you have something other than Transport 1 turrets. I was using T3's, T4's, and Purple Goddesses there at the end with my Shire.
Second - you're going against npc's. EK and thrust work VERY nicely to deal with them, because as soon as you see the npc's, you use standard cruiser and/or BHG tactics against them. If you can't avoid them, then simply go full thrust, EK, and turn around and fly in reverse. You're not hitting 'V' to look behind you, you're actually getting all 12 of your turrets into play all at once.
About a 3 second burst, and Wilde npc's go 'poof'. Change target, rinse, repeat.

I havent swaned a scorp in awhile, but 8 wraiths does the same.
At any rate, Wilde NPC's should have their strength up so high, thier friggin nomad possesd ex military officers for crying out loud.
Transports aint great for piracy though, and they die pretty easy to anyone who has their mind set on it, less you use a Pirate transport/Raba, which were just made to rape <strike>lawful</strike> things. a big dragon or Behemoth ill do fine against another transport, but a good fighter, bomber, and a good gunboat will kill you anytime. And no, I fight with transports: Gunboats are far better
