No, dont get me wrong. I know some ships suck beyond recognition, and I know that in order to get some players on the other side you need to make their fighters desireable too.
but come on seriously, there's no chance in hell that certain unlawful groups could compete with outcasts and corsairs in this field.
But there's a different approach than balancing things out.
I am sure that one titan cannot take on 2 xy ships if players are with same skills, so I'm sure there's no major need to rebalance some things. Instead of making pvp ships better to attract playerbase to some faction, why not make it interesting for them in roleplay?
for example, I am sure that if people knew what does their faction do, they'ld leave it, or if they heard some other faction's agenda they would join that one instantly. There's no need to prove this, it's a fact. 90% of server's population calls Corsairs pirates. So while i understand the desire to win, perhaps this is that turning point where you'll say - yanno - screw this! I'll own you in a lame ship and then I'll be extra proud.
Of hell, if i cant own you, i'll get my 6 friends together and just swarm you. Because 6 people that i'm with didnt care about ship stats, but they cared about how awesome and fearless mollies are when it comes to their turfs.

For an RP game we are really too much devoted to PvP side.
It's awesome ship, I've even sold my Titan, because I just didn't need it, I always used the Gladiator and did better than I'd do in Titan. Of course, that depends on one's preferences. I prefer more agile ships.
Sabres will usually send it straight to hell in group fights, but well, everything has drawbacks.
What many have failed to understand for all these years is that PvP has always been a critical role for Role-Play in Discovery (whether you like it or not, it's really the truth), that is why so many care about what revolves around said area.
Then there is of course those who totally neglect PvP to an extreme level but that group is a minority.

Currently i fly the bulldog... its a lil bit heavier, but its technically the same... 1 torp, 1 cd, 1 mine, 6 guns.....
They both handle inbetween a VHF and a HF, their both brilliant ships in a 1 on 1, and they got a badass "Ill rape your transport/freighter if you dont pay" role, while still being agile enough to dodge the heavy transport fire..
so, id say all it needs is maybe bit more turning (0.01 or somthing like that) and a lil bit more armour, say 9750
You understood me wrong. I'm not whining for it. Nope. I just asked simple question. It just looked strange thats all.
Perhaps it is a good ship, I just can't get used to it right, and not paying efforts to master it. It's my problem.
But well, compared to the other ships. The stats seemd not right. Since i know it was made from centurion, I just wonder perhaps the bots/bats were left by mistake or something.
Well thanks for your answer.
heh I saw you using that ship right. No wonder you sold Titan. : )
' Wrote:That's a fairly good point, but if you've ever flown the greyhound you'd see just how badly that ship sucks.
I fought greyhounds. They really do need a boost.

Now if someone wanted to blame me, like I want to have best stuff. I could support tenacity's suggestion about order/Corsair tech share. But I was biased agiasnt it, becouse it is not like corsairs behave. I use salas, corsair tech, and my character never will choose to fly something diffrent even if something is not balanced well.
Now corsair lore is to have best ships and see it as most superior (due their planet, best materials, which is a curse to, no food around) just like outcasts who should have best guns.
Now perhaps Gladi is good ship, I never said it is underpowered or something. I just asked becouse the bots didn't felt right to be with such hull comparing to other ships with similiar hull strengh.

Your right. We need to nerf the hull.

Again with the argument 'they're supposed to be good'.
If we went with that logic, Guardians and Avengers should be better than Sabres and Titans because, well, there's no chance in hell that a group of unlawfuls from the lonelycrons can match Liberty's top notch warfare machinery. But they're not. Why ?
Because it's a game, it doesn't work like that. Everything should be more or less equal (by equal I don't mean that all the ships should have the same stats), so that all the factions are played, not just the ones with uber tech. Zeltak is right. Why do you think there are 585328592101 Tridentes on the server ? Because they are the best gunboats out there, so everyone wants to maximize their winning chances, in whatever part of Sirius they are.
But anyway, I'll stop here, because I'm getting away from the original, unfounded topic.
