I have to say here Swift, your char went from "Let me know if you ever need a hired gun" to "You have 30 seconds to run" very quickly. You got overly upset when I said that we didn't need hired guns because there are none better then ourselves. So upset in fact that your next line was to threaten us and tell us we'd better run because you were about to kill us.
We were in the middle of a pretty fun RP with that Daumann miner when you decided to go through this whole change of stance toward us. We RP'd with you, concluded that RP when the miner showed up, and you didn't like that we had moved on.
I'm sorry, but you're going on and on here about how we ruined your RP experience... What about our RP experience? Honestly we were talking about letting the miner go because his RP was great. Neither of us were really looking for a fight. Forgive us for not putting your comfort and convenience above everything else.
One last point, giving someone a timer to run away is an engagement notice. You made a few threats prior to that, then gave us a timer (if your memory escapes you I have shots of the whole conversation if you'd like them as a refresher). If you weren't ready at that point for the fight you were starting, that is not our fault.
EDIT: I just saw your latest post, if you really weren't trying to pick a fight then I'm sorry. Because your RP just screamed "I want to fight!" Perhaps the whole thing was a misinterpretation, if so then hopefully next time will go better for all parties involved.
Well the thing about my character -is- that he's supposed to get offended quickly, but nevermind.
Anywho, I wasn't directing the statement at the 'RP experience'.
Yeah anyways, misunderstanding I reckon.
Just one piece of advice, guys. Don't take stuff to heart and think that people are out to get you. Some people take jabs at you guys, but do give the benefit of the doubt to at least the older members.
Anywho, see you around.

I don't think it was that, not for me at least. I haven't been in the Phantoms as long as some others, but we totally expect a thread of some sort almost every time we fly. Sometimes it's a kudos, sometimes it's to complain. Most often it's a silent powertrader filing a sanction report because we didn't ask for credits. Really, you get used to it pretty fast.
I look forward to seeing you in game again. Perhaps we can even fly alongside you as a merc for something, we'll see.
Ok, so, I know I am most likely barking up the same brick wall. In fact, let me predict how this discussion will go on: I will point out a situation that I have experienced, you will say something along the lines of it being within your roleplay, I will point out blatant flaws in your roleplay, you will spew incoherent, mildly insulting gibberish, I will get pissed off and leave.
Now let the show begin!
Last night (?) I was just on my way to the Sigma 13 jumphole in New Berlin with a load of Scrap when Valentine came zooming past me. He jumped off the lane, said hello and shot a CD at me. Usual stuff. Fortunately, I was just by Essen station. So he and some other guy whose name I cant remember start flying around me while I'm trying to line up with the station. Then after a "Can we kill him?" they both opened fire. So, 3 lines of dialog, under one minute of talky talky before shooty shooty. Now I will ask as if I was too dumb to know, is this the sort of roleplay experience that I am supposed to expect from the Phantoms? I am starting to get a little sick of 90% of your members behaving worse than LN indies. Heck, from my latest experiences, I'll have to tip my hat to Zelot. He was one of the Phantoms that was able to maintain a conversation the longest. Only second to Zapps phantom. He just wanted my Zoner to dance D:
Now, onto my list of dares for the Phantoms:
1.Re-apply for official faction status. If your roleplay is so stellar as you believe it to be there should be no problem whatsoever.
2. Try to talk before you shoot. Pretty self-explanatory.
3. Try having a non-Junker hater within your ranks. Because, seriously, I don't think I have met a Phantom that doesn't hate the Junkers yet.
The list I had thought up yesterday had more points, but sleep took away a few. Oh well.
I patiently await your most likely scorchingly insulting replies.

I didn't realize that dares were considered feedback.
1. No. I don't have anything to prove to you.
2. Sure, we do that. Going to insta-dock on a station makes it sort of hard to do that.
3. They sure exist. But you Junkers kept insulting us, so we're killing the lot of you, at the moment. How many times have we been attacked by Junkers for no reason? Way too often. (And insulting the Hellbound? Tsk, tsk.)
Aj we're are terrorists, what does that mean to you? To us it means spreading terror amongst our enemies. We're not going to spend twenty minutes talking to you whilst you call in friends to help. We're going to kill you and get out of there, move to a safe location and preach our message of hate and vileness unless we have another target that needs removing first.
Should we write a story for you? No. Of course we shouldn't. It doesn't fit. We're a small outfit, we have goals that need meeting. You see a Phantom you should be running, simple. Fear is a weapon. You dock we win, you die we win, you run from us screaming we win.
As for Junker hating? Lolwut? Can't think of any of us who hate the Junkers for being Junkers, as Phantoms we hate you for being the vile dancing puppets of the Houses, and for being utterly disrespectful of someone who can gun you down wherever you go.

Here is the problem with your comments.

So you saw them and tried to dock.
Quote:

Well, you were trying to dock to get away from them, what were they supposed to do, watch you walk away while twiddling their thumbs?
See, they started attacking you after you started attempting to dock, you got just the amount of rp you let happen. As soon as you start to try and get away, the talking stops and the shooting starts, it's the same for any faction anywhere, you getting pirated by the rogues, you try to get away, they start shooting, same with the Navy, same with the Corsairs, same with any faction.
Now to your list.
1. Unless you are going to ask every other faction that was approved before the new faction rules, this one is not worth my time.
2. Dont chastise people for not talking enough before they shoot, when you do everything you can to get away while they are talking.
3. A non-junker hater.... hmm. Does Rudo qualify? What qualifies as a non-Junker hater? Someone who has played a junker before? Someone who understands Junker Rp? I would think Rudo would qualify for both, as in fact would I, as I have done both, but why dont you tell me? What qualifies as non-junker hater in your eyes? I certainly dont feel like I hate Junkers. I certainly hope you dont think that every time we attack Junkers it is based on some personal hate of the faction, instead of you know, being in our rp to not like Junkers.
I hope this post was as insulting as you had hoped.

1. Why so <strike>serious</strike> defensive? I am sure that many other people would like to see the Phantoms judged by the same standards that we have today, standards which didn't quite exist when the faction was formed.
2. Actually, I didn't insta-dock. I actually waited to see just what Valentine would say next. I placed myself next to the station because I knew what was coming. That being three lines of dialog and explody fun.
3. I have never attacked any Phantom nor know of any other Junker that did. Mind showing some proof on that?

You may be terrorists, but this is a roleplay server in a game. What you consider terrorism translates into nothing more than blatant PvP whoring in ingame actions. Funnily enough, every single other terrorist that I have met doesn't suffer from this problem. They are all able to speak with their mouths instead of their guns. In which way are the Phantoms any different from the other terrorists, especially a difference so big that gives them free permit to behave like they do?
As for the Junker hating I have never seen specified in any Phantom document (not like there are many around, but still) that you are explicitly hostile to Junkers. Also, there have been a few occasions in which I have seen Phantoms docking in Junker bases, Rochester and Beaumont to be more precise. So, where do you stand? Or does your secrecy RP not allow you to disclose why you are doing that?
@Zelot: When you know for a fact that the person that you just glanced is going to to tear you to pieces before you can even finish writing a sentence, you don't exactly sit around and wait for them to pop you either.
About the list: Point 1: Yes, indeed I do think that all factions that weren't judged by the current criteria should be re-evaluated. Point 2: Already explained to Del. Point 3: By non-Junker hater, I mean characters ( note, characters, not people. I'm not even putting that in the mix.) that as soon as they see a Junker don't want to make him go boom.
PS: Amazingly enough, I have seen no insults... yet.
Edit: As to Characters that dont hate Junkers, there are no Phantoms that dont hate Junkers, because the faction hates Junkers, and the members of the faction follow what the rp says for them to do.
Talking of ninjas, you won't have seen any Phantoms docking on any Junker bases for some considerable
time, as the rep one was set to red when the first hostilities occurred ...
