---Guten Tag, Damen und Herren, today was a rather eventful day in Rheinland. When I began duty, I decided that the best place to begin would be Hamburg, so I left Braunschweig and headed to Planet Hamburg. At the New Berlin jump-gate in Hamburg, I met a trader carrying Superconductors from I supposed was Liberty. As I attempted to explain to him why we could not allow Libertonian goods into Rheinland space, I picked up an SCRA vessel on my long-range scanners. Moving to intercept, I abandoned the trader, and kept within 5K of the SCRA piloten, but he managed to escape into an asteroid field and I thought it a rather bad idea to attempt to follow him into the field. At this point, I met Hauptgefreiter Steiger, who soon regrouped with me at Alster Shipyard. Now that we had two piloten on duty, I told Steiger to stay in Hamburg on the watch for more embargo runners, while I initiated a patrol of the Core Rheinland systems. Before I could do so however, I was met by a rather odd sight: a Rheinwehr Valkeyrie with no IFF and no Identification Code (//No ID.), under the callsign of "Carlisle". Obviously distressed at a complete unknown piloting Rheinland equipment, I asked him how he had come across our vessel. After some rather...interesting...conversation, I managed to find out he had found a derelict one and was somehow unaware that it was illegal to be piloting it in Rheinland, let alone other systems. With this, I directed him to Hamburg, where he purchased, with the reward for returning missing property, a Camara freighter, much more suited to his stated vocation of mining. (//He spoke mostly Ukrainian, and only a little English, but I managed to communicate with him, thanks to Google Translate and a Cyrillic to Latin text converter.)
---Despite these events, what happened next rather stunned me. As Vizeadmiral Voelkel brought the cruiser, Seydlitz, into active duty, Herr Steiger reported a vessel with call-sign "ELVIS" had opened fire on him and was attempting to flee from him in Hamburg. I moved to intercept, but somehow he managed to reactivate a trade lane and escaped, whilst I was chasing him, Herr Voelkel reported a vessel smuggling Blood Diamonds out of Rheinland into Liberty. I saw the vessel as I was in a trade lane going in the opposite direction, and he too managed to escape amidst other confusion. At this point, we regrouped in Hamburg orbit, Hauptgefreiter Steigen, Vizeadmiral Voelkel, and myself. After some...frustration...on the part of Vizeadmiral Voelkel at the escaped smugglers/embargo runners, we picked up a vessel, with the callsign "StarRunner", I was ordered to protect the New Berlin jump-gate whilst Herr Steigen stopped StarRunner and Herr Voelkel placed the Seydlitz in position near Alster Shipyard. StarRunner attempted to feign an inability to control his vessel, but after a lengthy discussion with the Vizeadmiral, he agreed to comply with our orders. While Herr Voelkel and Steigen were dealing with StarRunner, ELVLIS appeared at the jump-gate in a completely new ship, he had escaped with a Percheron-class transport and I saw him in a Hegemon-class mining ship. Without any warning, he fired upon me when I ordered him to halt, after shutting down the lane, I took evasive maneuvres and returned fire. With such a hefty ship, ELVIS had no chance of escape, and after a firefight of some length I destroyed him, with some assistance from Herr Steigen nearing the end, however, an odd note, as his vessel was nearing destruction, my sensors detected that the light reflecting from his ship was beginning to shift frequency and wavelength, the signature of a cloaking device, but it did him little good, and, as stated before, he was terminated. A guncam-recording of his vessel imploding and subsequently exploding is attached to this message.
Honorably,
-Duncan Werden

Very interesting, indeed. My first five minutes back on duty after extended leave led me to the destruction of a Hessian gunship, the "Red Honor", in Neu Berlin.
In any case, I launched from the RNC Moselle in the evening just to stretch my legs a little; hadn't flown my Wraith for quite some time. Everything was right where I left it, so all was well.
After making the jump to Neu Berlin, I found that only a single fellow pilot was on duty and in-system. I assumed this was nothing new or exciting; even bustling Berlin has been quiet from time to time. I included him, a Hauptgefreiter Steiger of whom I am not familiar with, into the common Military channel, and simply asked how the day was.
I got a distress call in reply.
Kicking in the afterburner, I set off for the tradelane between Bonn Station and the Stuttgart Jump Gate where my computer was indicating Steiger's ship was located. It didn't take long to figure out why he needed help when I caught sight of twin Battle Razors soaring off into space above me. Herr Steiger was flying a Bergelmir against a Heimdall-class Red Hessian gunship by the name of "Red Honor". The ship appeared mostly outfitted for anti-capital ship warfare, but nevertheless was scoring hits.
I notified Steiger that I was on-station and proceeded to engage the bandit. While Steiger's bomber took pot-shots with its Anti-matter cannon, I insisted on draining its shields from close range, including a few nuclear mines when appropriate to help take its armor plating out. We had beaten it severely by the time Gefreiter Sven Wolf arrived on the scene, also in a bomber, who offered Cruise Distruptor support from long range.
The Red Honor cut its engines, and its weapons, asserting that it had been unjustly attacked. A quick ceasefire and investigation into both Steiger's and the Hessians' actions revealed that the Red Honor had, in fact, denied an order to cut power to its engines. The resulting pursuit devolved into a firefight, one which apparently lasted for the better part of ten or twenty minutes as an unknown trader arrived to provide the gunship with nanobots and shield charges before I had arrived.
Now that it was stationary and no longer engaged, I took the opportunity to relay a proper demand of their surrender. Steiger insisted on a countdown from ten, which I allowed him, and the Hessian commander gave up at the count of "Einz". We were then, of course, tasked to escort him to Vierlande.
What happened next is where this story becomes a bit... dicey. Steiger's ship was rather beaten so he RTB'd to the Strausberg for repairs, leaving the escort duty to myself and Herr Wolf.
I had ordered Wolf to guard the rear of the gunship as to prevent his escape and encourage cooperation while I took the lead, under the impression that my smaller profile and more agile craft could hopefully dodge any attempted backstabs. But Wolf mistook my order and flew behind 'me', leaving the Red Honor to break off of a tradelane half way to Dortmund and make a run for the Ruhrfeld. I ordered Wolf not to pursue, but youth has a tendency of overriding sense, as I am well aware of myself. I had no choice but to enter the field behind him in an attempt to offer support.
The gunship ran in circles for a while before engaging Wolf while he was by himself; I had moved to guard the Jump Hole to Hamburg, expecting the Hessian to run, but instead he chose to pick on my wingman, who was unfortunately at the other side of the field relaying the target's position until it was right on top of him. I managed to rejoin him before it was too late and we dealt with the Red Honor.
I've informed Gefreiter Wolf of his errors and cases of misjudgment, but with my own experience in mind I cannot advise much punitive action and actually would like to petition Command to give Herr Wolf another chance. He needs time to learn, as we all did.
---Guten Abend, Damen und Herren, yesterday's patrols began as normal. I received communications from Vizeadmiral Voelkel, requesting that I, and others, join him on patrols and a possible later reconnaisance mission. Our first order of business was to investigate some possible Corsairs in Omega-7, upon arrival we realised we were not to be disappointed, as both a Corsair gunboat and VHF were present. After Herr Voelkel attempted to reason with them and get them to leave, they decided they had had enough and engaged. Herr Steiger joined us here and, combined, we took down the gunboat, with myself giving the final blow, a SNAC to the main engine area. The VHF, after the destruction of the gunboat, decided to flee, thus leaving the immediate area clear of hostiles. After this, Frau Admiral Malte arrived, and, after expressing a certain amount of distress at us leaving her nothing to fire at, directed us to continue our patrols. On our way back to Stuttgart, we came across a Kishiro Technologies train, under the callsign "Kishiro|Akira", that was drifting in upper Stuttgart orbit, after some confusion, and attempting to verify it as a registered Kishiro vessel, the Captain contacted us, stating that he had been having some engine troubles and had to head down to the engine room himself to supervise its repair, leaving him unable to communicate. He eventually returned to his command station and had his vessel moor at the Stuttgart mooring point, and he continued with his business thereafter.

===Section Heading Found: The Reconaissance Mission===
---At the conclusion of our normal patrol, Vizeadmiral Voelkel proposed a reconaissance mission to Admiral Malte, mainly consisting of a probe into New Hampshire, and a cataloguing and photographing of anything of interest. For this, I transferred from my Bergelmir that I had been piloting to my Wraith, which I requested to be outfitted with a higher-definition guncam for the operation. We dodged multiple stationary battleships during our mission, but, aside from a momentary systems failure on the part of Herr Steiger, there was no major incident. For the sake of clarity, the planets have been named in order of our scanning of them, since the designations given to them by the Libertonians are unknown. Also attached is photographs of some of the stationary battleships, as well as a few images of a Universal vessel resupplying one, and another few images of them opening fire on us as we passed, perhaps giving our engineers some insight as to their armament. Upon our return, I off-loaded the data from my guncam and scanners to the Moselle, as well as samples of water from a nebula we discovered, for more permanent storage while we continued our patrol, unfortunately...this is the end of my report, somehow at this point my memory...fades...and I was told I was found in a jettisoned escape pod with some pretty nasty wounds, nothing the Rheinwehr's doctor's couldn't handle, but it seems at some point I was involved in a pitched battle and must've hit my head, they said I'm cleared to fly, the only effect seems to have been that memory loss, which both them and I found to be extremely odd but there is nothing to be done about it now.

Dear Rheinland Military High Command,
I am writing to you today to officially tender my resignation from the Rheinland Military due April 3.
I never thought I would ever leave such a great organization, but their are other opportunities that presented themselves to me and I cannot pass up a chance at them.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the RM, about all the people I've encountered in my years of service with the Rheinwehr, and especially all the others from my patrol wing. Your leadership has taken us all to new levels.
If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks again for everything.
I went on my patrol run today at about 4 pm and flew from berlin to the stuggart jumpgate. On the way there were no issues and i proceeded to Stuggart. After i arrived i porceeded to Munich and found once again low activity. After i got to Munich i saw a fellow Pilot escorting a trader, I scanned the traders cargo and moved along. I traveled back and then to the nearby Sigma system, I flew around in there for a bit seeing no activity and proceeded back to Berlin. On the way i encountered the Pilot and cargo ship again so i did another cargo check and went on my way. After i headed to Hamburg and found a trader Carrying Synth Paste, I told him to move along and headed to another nearby Sigma. After a quick search I was ordered to head back to Berlin and Deal with a Hessian. As ordered i retuned to find the Hessian Harrassing a Trader. I ordered him to stop firing and after he didnt reply i engaged. The pirate fled a little ways and i followed him and he then turned around trying to intimidate me telling me there was no chance of victory. I ignored his tactic and reengaged him. After 20 minutes of combat the Hessian turned and fled, I chase him until he escaped through the jump gate. I asked for orders after reporting his action of running and was told to let him go and a job well done.

Guten Tag Meine Damen und Herren. Today was quite an eventful day in Frankfurt.
The day started off by being called to Frankfurt. Admiral Malte found a Hessian on the fun and told me to not let it escape. It was taken down in a matter of a few minutes.
From there we were called to Stuttgart for a possible "Wilde" sighting. Nothing was at the destination indicated upon our arrival.
Back in Frankfurt I was called by a Republican Shipping train about a ship with suspicious cargo. The ship in question was carrying software. The registration codes were removed so that led us to believe it was counterfeit. The contraband was dropped and destroyed. The pilot was warned to watch where she was buying her goods.
Then we found a Hessian. He was running and we couldn't get in range to CD him. He taunted us while he was out of range. We figured he was a distraction for a convoy of Blood Diamonds or other contraband and broke off.
We headed back to New Berlin where we met Hauptgefreiter Carla Riess. We patrolled Dresden and then I received a call from Miners in Omega 7 about some Corsairs in the area. We moved to Omega 7 and did not find any Corsairs.
I returned back to Frankfurt and found a ship seeking help. He was looking for the military records of his father, according to him his father's name was Jack Archer. He wants to know something about his whereabouts.
Then there was the last problem. A Hessian Gunboat was monitoring the lanes. Feldwebel Vogel convinced him to leave.
All in all an eventful day. No losses and one less Hessian.
Guten Tag,
My report may seem short but i didnt get a chance to do much. I took off from Hamburg and flew toward Berlin. After I warped in System i spotted a Hessian jumping to Hamburg. I immediately turned around and pursued. When i arrived i had no signs of him but i knew he was in system so i hailed him.
After the conversation i decided the Hessian was too much of a coward to pose any real threat, so I flew back towards Berlin and landed deciding it would be best to defend the capital.
Danke for your time

Meine Damen und Herren,
Yesterday on my patrol of the Neu Berlin system i have met a well known hessian criminal herr Mike Stah. I dont know how he managed to escape from Vierlande but he was there, standing on the same place as always...on the Brandenburg borderstation and Neu Berlin planet Trade lane in the asteroid field.
The chat with him was not in a polite way, he kept insulting the rheinwehr and the Kanzler. After some of his insults he decided to attack me with this word:
" Die "
So the fight started. Due the heavy ionstorms, my weapon system was failing to hit my oponent and the fight lasted for a long time. During this fight Herr Vizeadmiral Alec Voelkel came and asked whether i need help. But i still wanted to handle him alone and not to look like a coward in the Vizeadmirals eyes. I knew my tactical disadvantage becouse the ionstorm, but i managed to break his hull and destroy his ship.
The hostile target was destroyed...
Location: TL between Bradenburg-New Berlin, New Berlin system

After this case the Vizeadmiral ordered me to join his patrol. But just some moments later herr Vizeadmiral has recieved a massage about outcasts activity in Berlin. We have directly changed our course and moved to the location.
The massage was right. There were 2 outcasts vessels. One Gunship and one bomber just about 10-15 klicks away from Neu Berlins orbit. As they have seen us they started to fire on the herr Vizeadmiral. First we have targeted the Gunship and its was succesfully destroyed, as the bomber have seen that we have destroyed the gunship he tried to escape, but he didnt manage to get away and his vessel was destroyed too...

Be so noted that the following pilots are charged with high treason and are to be executed on sight:
Hauptfeldwebel Henrik Drum
Marinenachrichtendienst Agent Hans Eckhard
Gefreiter Yelena Vollkegel
The crimes they committed involve attacking military and civilian vessels without provocation, collaborating with communist terrorists, piracy, theft and fraud, treason, desertion and neglecting to obey high command orders. It is also highly possible that not one of these pilots is under the influence of nomad infection or mind control, most probably permanently.
Treat these soldiers with utmost care. They are no longer parts of the Rheinland Military, yet all three of them received our training, equipment and tactical skills. Attempt to arrest them, but upon a failure to do so, make sure they remain in a burning wreck of the vessel that has been their patron to serve Rheinland until they decided to take the path of dishonor.
Signed,
Vizeadmiral Alec Voelkel

Object: Patrol duty report
Guten Tag mein Damen und Herren!
While I was on my normal patrol duty in Hamburg system, suddenly a well interesting vessel spotted near Planet Hamburg. As I formerly saw, something was wrong with him, because the unidentified pilot's vessel didnt had shield and an ID in its cargo space.
I tried to explore, who is he and why he fly without ID and shield, but he just talked about nonsenes, and without any request he tried to dock on the base near the planet. I didnt want to open fire on him, so I wanted ti wait while he undock, then I tried to explain to him what was his mistake.
After that he tried to fled without any contact, so I stopped him at the trade lane. I tried to explore his situation and to explain him the formal rules about docking our station without ID card. I had no answer but suddenly he tried to fled. I still dont wanted to open fire on him, so I followed him, when he suddenly opened fire on me.
When I realied he want to kill me, I wanted to give him a last chance, but he just fired again. In this situation I didnt had a chance, so I opened fire on his vessel. After a small "fight" I shooted down that ship, but I think this situation was more than interesting, so I wanted to report this. I fear, he was a secret agent or an incompetent pilot maybe.
