I don't think the heavy lifter has 40000 cargo space, or maybe it does and we're all just really stupid for not noticing it.

Anyways, I don't think that chart is accurate. A Transport is used for transporting large amounts of goods and no self-respecting company is going to use repair ships and lifters in long distance runs.

It gives us a true starting point. It tells us there is a difference and to trade ya need a Trader ID which allows for Trading vessels, i.e. Whale. Sadly, murking the waters is a couple of freighters in the Trading list. To be honest, I think only Igiss or Admins can clear this up, hehehehe. I still like idea of Xeno's getting a Whale:)

Yngen, to muddy your point, here- In infocard refered to as transport and feighter is used for Whale and GB, hehehe

Plus, from Igiss's own readme txt he lists Whale as, "Whale 0/0 3500 100000 450 19,000,000 Transport without turret."

Yep, sorry ... A thousand other things going on at once ... Mixed metaphors there. Me Whales and me Behemoths got crossed up a little.
Then again both are accepted to be TRANSPORTS not FREIGHTERS ... How many more effin' 'rules' do
we actually need. As far as I know the largest ship counting as a FREIGHTER, is the Camara. Cargo 800
The next in cargo space is the basic TRANSPORT. Cargo 1000
Anything above the magic 999 is a transport ship ... End of story, morning glory.

I thought I was having deja-vu there for a moment this is the same stuff as the thread I just left a reply on! Its pointless looking to the letter of the rules here because anyone can look out a Reference Card or Rules Reference that contradicts someone else's idea.

Look instead to the spirit of the rules and what they are trying to achieve. In this case it seems Neutral ID is for those who want to play online but be free from attack for whatever reason (Game testing or whatever). This is a RP server though and if you have a trading character...get a trader (Or similar) ID. Be prepared to be attacked by pirates 'cos your in the (un) real Disco Universe - life has ups and downs....sometimes you'll get a cargo through...other times you loose the lot.

I fail to see why some ppl look for rules to avoid having to RP. (EG "You cannot attack me in my transport/freighter whatever 'cos I'm neutral. I only use this character to build up vast sums of money for the characters I do RP with here on the server". Well that's what this place is all about 'Role-Play' so enjoy yourself and role-play in a character that transports stuff and gets a big pay-day when no one kills or blackmails it but equally smile and move on when you do get ragged by those damn one eyed, parrot shouldered pirates! Heck create a Pirate character yourself and do some pillaging....and a lawful one while your at it to protect the traders (RM are laways recruiting nudge nudge wink wink;-])

Wait... You're allowed to transfer money between characters? o_O

And keeping to the spirit of the rules and RP is a fine thing to do... But you can't count on everyone doing it. There'll always be people who want to exploit a loophole for their own gain. Only way to prevent that is making the official rules as clear as possible (and making the line between freighter/transport as clear as possible). I personally plan on upgrading to a Whale and Trader ID just as soon as I make the 15mil more I need to do so.

How many times it was promised over the Console that the transports with Neutral IDs will be deleted no refunds, no questions asked? That promise includes the Liners too. They always changed the IDs in the next 15 minutes. Do you people buy Neutral IDs back? I'm starting to delete EVERY TRANSPORT (over 1000 cargo capacity) with a Neutral ID that I find online on the spot - no warnings anymore.

Well unfortuneatly some people have not beena round as much as your holyness nightfall and dont necisarily know that. so doing sucha thing on the spot seems well. unfair to those who dont know yet. such as the newer players.

o wait. you dont care about new players n/m.

it does make since that it eb defined as anythign over 1000 cargo being a transport but a lot of things specificly say its a frieghter class ship name and all. respectivly. that ship should be alwoed if thats what its called in my opinion.
