im a skilled bomber, i cant bring down a bottlenose unless the pilot is a complete newb....
That ship is like fighting a slow bomber with weapons of doom.
basically, give it a snac and it will be the best heavy bomber in game -__-
Bullhead is slower at turning then mako
Bullhead cant dodge snacs for s....
Bullhead has too many windows
Bullhead has a really stupid weapon placement
Bullhead is able to kill 5 Corsair Osiris NPC's with ease if you can use it right (no, im not talking within Nebulae's. Anything with the right range/damage can do that)
Bullhead is not a very good ship right now due to its weapon placement and its crappy turn rate. it needs a good reverse fraction and good weapon placement and a thruster to become a good ship. So go for a Bottlenose.
Yes, sure, but factor in high ping and other circumstances and you get some real issues in this bomber vs gunship fight.
There are days when my ping is low and I carve up three fighters and two bombers with relative ease. There are other days when it is high and a light fighter can hand my ass to me.
I find Tenacity's solution of a sledge hammer on a fly to be the best option, kill them as quick as you can to be effective.

BULLHEAD HAS A THRUSTER. MAYBE YOU SOLD YOUR THRUSTER BY A MISTAKE.
I suggest a B'nose if you can use it right. I have both ships. Their both excellent at their tasks..... if you want something capable of eating gunboats and fighters/bombers, get a orca
I'm with Dusty here. Bottlenoses give me nightmares. Stoat killed me in only a half-dozen passes or so, and that was while he was fighting off a Scorpion and a Wraith in addition to my Bergelmir. That said, a bad pilot in one of those is just asking to die- but it's pretty similar to putting a bad pilot in an Agama and asking him to fight a Lynx. The ship is excellent, you just need to use it's agility rather than simple brute force.
I've no proper experiences with the Orca this mod version, so I can't comment there. It seems like it's supposed to be the GB-hunter while the Bottlenose is the fighter-slayer, though.
Mjolnir's description of the Thresher is spot on from my flying experiences. Nothing scares me more in that ship than a Resheph- even Gebs are easy by comparison.
Bullheads are very unfriendly to cruisers and even battleships, but they are awfully big targets for bombers and such to pick at. It's kinda like a Geb, but with 2 battleship guns instead of the battleship shield and sheer number of guns that would make da Orkz proud.
Makos are a weird one, since it's supposedly a light battleship that's supposed to charge in. That type of strategy really only works against Juggernauts, Valors, and other gigantic ships that have point blank "dead" spots, so it really depends on what you fight, and how well the enemy pilot can get you out of point blank.
