I don't think Ageira did the Tlagsnet or control it.

But the tlagsnet is closely linked to trade lanes - the trade lanes are the "vehicle" for the TLAGSNET info, so it would be very odd if the TLAGSNET isnt linked to Ageira or Ageira tech to some extent.

What? How can I RP having actual info that I dont? Should we also just RP every single PVP-encouter instead of playing it out in-game?

This game has RP underpinnings, but it is still a computer game and most things in effect rely on what is possible within the computer game.

Otherwise we might just as well close the server and make this into a "cyber" pen & paper game played on the forum.

EDIT: Also I dont have a Hacker character, and I am not looking for some OP tool to maximize piracy profits (which I don't think limited TLAGSNET access would - in effect a sentry sitting at jumpgate to the system could provide similar info) It would just be a cool/fun way to implement some of the Hacker background to the actual computer game we are playing - to diversify the options and the choice of strategies.

If I successfully hack into someone's comms, it is effectively powergaming (or metagamaing). If I never succeed, there is no point in trying.

But how can I RP that, I still fail to see it? I can RP hacking into TLAGSNET, and I might even be succesful, but it still doesnt actually give me access to TLAGSNET so what's the point?

I can RP being a fighter-ace, but I still suck at PVP so in-game I will never be an ace.
