OK this is a spam category note but necessary: Yesterday evening my computer gave up the fight for the life, processor and who know what else went for the Creator and my system winchester followed. At this moment I have just an old P3 with 500MHz processor (game needed 600...) temporary. Temporary, but weeks will pass until I get a normal computer. Freelancer with the lowest performance and settings run but it mean I cant help effective to my members in fight, especially between rocks. For it I withdraw myself from the decisions too for a while, I dont want to be the person who say to the others: "Lets go and win that battle what I provoked - without me". I placed the leadership to the Crisfg's hand, but I actively took my part from the management, now its gone too - for a while. I will help him of course in background, but if you have any question or problem or anything with DHC- turn to Crisfg.
Enjoy this little time, because when I return....
Just an observation I've made regarding your faction's recent posts in the Comm Channel (specifically, Vito's).
Your overall speech is much more like that of a terrorist than a corporate representative. Examples include:
"We demand.."
"These terms are non negotiable.."
"You have 24 hours left.."
"You have 12 hours left.."
Yes, I know this is a world of make belief, but you should put some effort into it. Or give the RP to somebody that understands corporate language. Essentially, go read some Health Insurance documents and you'll get the gist of it.

Because this was directed mainly at me, I'll answer
First about DHC:
- we are rheinlanders. Proud, arrogant and suffering from a superiority complex. We are better than anyone else
- DHC was founded in 54 AS, that is about 800 years ago and about 700 years before the first zoners built Freeport 1
- we employ millions of people in Rheinland and the Omega systems
- we practically own most of Rheinland. We build ships and weapons for the army and police and the vast majority of Rheinland's civilian ships are also built by us. We have hundreds of subsidiaries in countless industries and our products vary from the RM's battleships to condoms. Basically we are like all the top 100 corporations on Earth combined
Now, the Omnicroners:
- zoners. They have been around for 70-80 years.
- their population: Freeport XV ' 700, Livadia Shipyard ' 500, Sparta Station ' 150, Corinth Research Station ' 400. Total Omnicroners population ' 1750
So yes, I believe we hold the influence and resources that allow us to demand whatever we want, whenever we want from them. In short, we are America and they are a small village in Iraq or Afghanistan. Do we want to use that power? Of course we do. This is our RP, we think we own you and when we want something we take it. We do not bow to anybody, especially a group like the Omnicroners. You think they do not understand corporate language? Believe me, everybody can understand things like 'do what I say or I kill you'
As a note, all those who think we have no business in the Omnicrons please go read the first post in this thread:
'As resources dwindle, we will continue to search for new mining fields. We will brave the dangers of the far Omegas and even the Omicrons if we must.'
DHC may be well within their right to follow the course of action they're following, but the RP language doesn't fit. Corporations do not speak like bank hostage takers or terrorists.
Big Oil and Tobacco companies have their hands full in mafia activity, but you will never see a representative of Big Oil make personal comments in a corporate letter addressed to another party. What I'm saying is, maybe learn to talk a bit more like corporate Reps do.

I think you'll find that you are sadly mistaken here. Zoners have no absolute need for Daumann products. We can always get the same thing elsewhere. Zoners, however, are the only real source of deuterium and iridium. I'm sure the government wouldn't appreciate you losing that iridium which is a key component in many of your products, including ship hull panels and even weaponry. The Omicroners own the only safe route out for it. You would think a corporation would be a bit more delicate in their relations with that in mind.

You are right for the most part. We do not want to stop trading with zoners. Right now we have no problems with OSI, TAZ or independent zoners. Those restrictions will probably be lifted in a day or two.
About the iridium, OSI already brought that up in the communication channel and we responded in a positive way. We want to reach an agreement with OSI on that matter. In the same message you said we should only deal with the ones that offended us. That is exactly what we are doing
@ Lou:
Posting PM's here is a bit childish, but I'll get over it fast and I would not even bother to comment on the first part of your message. It is your opinion and this is the feedback thread, so I'll note it and move on
Quote:I would probably try to calculate the amount of taxes my contract with the Core could bear in order to stay profitable. I'd start to negotiate over payments only, and I would jump on the mentioning of supplies for Livadia (which is supposed to be a bit greater and nearer than Dabadoru is
We worked the numbers before we made a decision on this matter. Your entire population is under 2000 people, including maybe children and retired seniors. How could you possibly need more supplies that the Bounty Hunters Guild? It's not just about Dabadoru, they have bases all over Sirius. They need ships components, weapons, ammo for those weapons, ship engines, electronics, etc. Their ships fight all the time so they need constant maintenance and repairs on a daily basis. Also remember that we have a lot of ship flying all around Sirius. Those ships need protection from pirates and unlawful groups and organizations, exactly what BHG offers. Can you beat that? I do not think so
Quote: In the end I would try to get the Core out of 74, because they're those who are annoying the Zoners most, while I might want to ask for a safety guarantee while passing 74. My overall calculation would still render my endeavors profitable without stepping onto the stage of politcal vanities.
Why would we want to get the Core out of Omnicron 74? We do not care about politics, let alone the drama in the Omnicrons. We only care about money. Right now the Core is paying us so we are working for them. Tomorrow their place may be taken by any other organization, as long as it fits our RP

Ok, now I understand.
That would make sense on 20th Century Earth. I'm not sure it would also apply to 8th Century Sirius. Here and now, everybody is fighting everybody. There is war and death wherever you look and those kinds of things change people. If somebody would shoot your friends I'm sure you will not be very diplomatic about it. That's my view on this matter

I think an apt metaphor for this situation would be a modern day affluent megacorporation moving to a war blighted third world country in order to get at some valuable minerals, only to discover a tiny tribe of locals are sitting right on top of the prize. They might attempt to buy them off at first, but they're probably not going to be polite, they're probably not going to be civil and they're going to do whatever they have to to get what they want.
Of course, corporate workers make great hostages in organised crime, so that pretty much covers the Corsair angle too. Then there's the militant natives who firebomb the bulldozers. That's the Omicroners. Yeah, that's everyone accounted for. I don't see a cool, civil demeanour as particularly necessary. If you're dealing with another corporation or 'civilised' body? Sure. When trying to budge a little group of space squatters? No, not really.
