He means guns with 1500+ m/s speed, not high refire. though, probebly both.

I do not own bomber, I own gunboat, but I cooperate with bombers, fought with bombers, in PvP and RP alot times, I saw how they fight with others, all my experience base on fighting with tham and watching tham fighting others.
I also saw how 1 fighter ( sabre ) was running around manhatan under heavy fire without taking hull damage, I saw movie where sabre solo gunboat.
I was shot down by 3 VHF mercs after they finished other gunboat I protected ( yes, 3 VHF pwn 2 gunboats without any high hull damage ).
I fought 2 vs 1 again fighters and bombers in PvP alot alot times.
I tryed to protect traders and cruizers or even battleships from bombers, never could even do any good damage on tham and save capital ship.
I saw how 1 bomber KO 1 fighter in 1 vs 1 fight.
I was blowing up many Rheinland batlteships and sometimes cruizer in team of many bombers and fighters and gunboats.
I saw how 4 bomber blowed up fleet and me in it ignoring fighters protecting us.
I belive experience I gathered is enogh to put my opinion in here, not only for gunboat class what I use, but also for many other class ships I saw around.
Anyway lets me say in short changes I mean.
Make bomber bigger, bigger than VHF, but smaller than freighters, lets say between,
Put bomber agility down, lets say, almost as small as freighter.
Put freighter shield on bomber.
Keep armor, nanos, shield battery, guns, SANC, torpedoes.
Decrease all fighter guns and codename guns damage to 80% or 75% of they curent damage, but increse they speed by 40 - 50%, so for example 1000 speed on fighter gun.
Double the damage of Fighter guns and let Bombers use them again then when either a Fighter or Bomber is escorting it will be able to take down the attacker easier. As I have said and tested, 3 Fighters 2 of which are acking MRs will take down a transport before 3 Fighter escorts can take down a single attacker. Concentrating on Bombers is not the solution to the escort problem. Concentrate on the Escorts instead be they Fighter or Bombers. Buff those guns. This will even solve the 1 hour 1vs1 Fighter fights that drag on and on.

It is bad idea, you know why, it is because even now, if fighters team up, they can take capital ships one by one, it take longer, but they can fight very long, after all fighters are dodging masters.
If you doulbe they damage, they will beat everythink.
The reason why fighters not can stop bombers from shoting down capital ship is because bombers are too agile and to small, they just keep shoting target from save range, and once they power is down, they just dodge attacks until they can shot again.
This is why I think bomber is good as it is, but he need to be bigger, for now he is big like VHF, bomber should be big between VHF and freighter, also bomber need to have smaller agility, and yet use freighter shield.
Thanks this gunboats and fighters will be able to damage tham even if they try to dodge.
Also increasing fighter gun speed by 50% will give tham alot better anti fighter and anti bomber advancement,
but in exchange they damage should by cut by 20%.
After all fighter should be anti fighter and anti bomber unit, and for now, 5 fighters can shot to 1 skilled fighter in around 30 minutes to beat him.
What point of fighter if he not can shot down bomber or other fighter,
what point of bomber if fighters not need tham to take out capital ship,
what point of capital ship if fighters beat tham,
what point of escort if it not can protect you.
Somethink like that.
If we made bombers a bit more like the Barghest, we'd all be happy.
Barghests do more damage and they also take more damage (because they're slow and huge).

I agree with you,
I mean, some bombers are realy too agile, I saw movie how one bomber was dancing around battleship.
A little bigger than Barghests and a little little less agile, but with freighter shield.
I wont complain if bomber get more fire power, it is fine as long as fighters and gunboats as escort can scare tham off from taking out capital ships.
Now if 4 Barghests attack 1 battleship, and 2 gunboat and 2 VHF escort will be able to take tham out before they destroy battleship, it mean it is ballanced.
If they all finish battleship without losses, it is not ballanced.
Still, fighter guns should have 50% speed up and 20% damage down, so they can be better again bombers and fighters.
It is realy weird how sabre can run around and other fighters not can take him out.
Fighter is anti bomber and anti fighter unit after all, and yet, he is unable to do his job, it is not just to beat fighter in 1 vs 1 duel, it is also to stop fighter from blowing cargo ship up.
Change the rotational speed on capital primaries to something that can track small ships and caps will be able to defend themselves. That is pretty much all that needs to be done.
I can almost catch most bombers with my all primary load out on the Varyag at close range. They just turn so slow that it is hard to keep them collectively on-target.
