That. If there would be a poll I wouldn't even reply.

That may be, but in the Phantoms for example, there are only a few of us. We can sort out pretty quickly who does and doesn't belong.

My main reasoning for wanting all official factions to have tags is so I can ID you so that I can then track you down and interact with you.

You see, us normal factions run tags. Meaning anyone and everyone knows who and where we are. Meaning they can ID us and force an interaction. Meaning we don't have a choice in the matter.

Those not running tags are harder to ID, thus harder to track down and interact with. Meaning they get a choice on who, where, and if they want to interact with someone.

Why do a select few factions get that right while the rest of us don't get that right?

We get flamed either way for not doing it the other way.

Anyway, all tags.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

lmfao

Hey, not having a tag = being elite now.

Awesome!

Last I checked having a tag was a decision made by players be it an entire faction with a tag (official or not) or an Independant player flying his prefixes/suffixes. Can someone remind me where having a tag became a server rule and the part where Wilde/Keeper/Aoi/SCRA elitism allows us to have the "special right" to waive this server rule....you know seeing as our elitism is already being crucified by this server rule. Hmmmmm?

It's due to the fact they have their own ID/IFF.

The SCRA use tags anyway, Keepers do for the most part.

There is nothing elite about it, heck, the SCRA ID is pretty much the same as alot of other IDs, Keepers have 97% of factions repped to full red and Wild even more than that. Phantoms with tags could work but If it's not obvious.

Trust me, it makes a huge difference though, I couldn't have done half the stuff I did as a Phantom if I had a tag. I would have ruined the majority of my operations that required stealth.

No one suspects the pleasantly named 'Valentine'.

I am not claiming its elitism.

I am merely pointing out that not running a tag gives you a choice with, who, and if you interact with someone. Running one removes that choice.

There are factions other than Wilde/Keepers/AoI/SCRA that run with no tag and honestly all of them have valid role play reasons. My problem is 100% of the official factions can come up with valid role play reasons to not run a tag.

I don't know if there is a rule stating you must have them, but I can bet my Whale that if all the official factions dumped the tags, the admins would step in and say something.

I just want to make the point that keeps being made, how we like to find you.

So go ahead, lose that tag. Fly an invisible indie, or invisible faction. But you lose the interactions we would initiate. Sometimes you like that, because it means we don't gank you (whatever faction you are) and sometimes its bad, because you end up lonely, and we end up lonely, looking for someone we know to rp with. We're not all so outgoing.

Which is actually a main reason why I like the GMG| tag as well as even putting GMG|GTS- on tradeships and GMG|GFS- on the flagship. The GMG| tag makes it wasy for /fi but the other cute additions to the suffixe are markers for others so they get used to knowing if it's either an easy target or a valuable one. Basicly the ships that are meant to attract players playing as enemies so the interaction happens. Hopefully there is a normal GMG| ship nearby to increase the interaction but in the case of GMG|GTS- ships, not always. (The joy of being fodder :))
