Ashes, just because Curios put it so bluntly doesn't mean he's not correct. He has managed to point out two good, but already known problems in his post. Maybe you didn't see them there.
1 is that pirate ID, generic ID, isn't really harassed by other unlawful groups in space, so as he said "they can belong anywhere". Smooth.
2 is that if you really wanted to pvp, you really do need to slap a pirate ID on a gunboat / some decent fighter and charge bit more money. Blue messages ahoy!
Since the amount you can currently ask isn't really restricted (unless you ask 20mil), and the pirate ID is welcome everywhere (that has no thing to do with admins just the playerbase) I don't see what's wrong in his sentence.
Entire approach sure is wrong, but eh. I found it amusing:D
