This is an excerpt from an actual Rheinland news story:
Rheinland Responding to Tau Events
NEW BERLIN -- Rheinland Foreign Office has issued a press release reguarding recent Tau events. Conflict between Bretonia and Kusari is leading to an inevitable war in which Rheinland will not participate...
I realize this story is somewhat dated, and I know that reguardless of events the stories won't change until there's another update. But as far as RP has been going, the story is still accurate. Am I wrong? The use of a Rheinland Bomber by Bretonia doesn't make much sense and, according to the story, actually violates RP. I don't know if this is at all pertinent-- maybe I just have way too much time on my hands if I'm actually reading the news ...but I thought it was at least something to consider.
I choose to RP the aquisition of the RH bomber because A) I'm not going to cripple our forces by not having a bomber. B) I envisioned the taiidian more as a pirate bomber and the RH as the lawful. Now if a Bretonian bomber comes in, you'll quickly see the SF switch to that but until such time as that happens the RH bomber will continue to be used.
Interesting... I converted my other character WebOtus from a trader to a BAF Gunboat pilot last night - thinking I could make a difference in Cambridge for the traders, but... seems I'm gonna have my hands full whilst looking for trouble with any Kusari ship I encounter...

No, kusari dont.
Kusari STICK to good RP, instead of shaming themself with tech from annother house, they choose to fight with what they have. as should the SF imo.
Edit : unless you and RM can come up with an RP weapons deal of some kind, and publish it on the forums.
But me thinks, that would change kusari's stance towards rheinland, you dont want to let your enemies weapon supplier live right?
Is is impicitly stated that the Taiidan has to be pirate?
It says the RH Bomber "...shouldn't be overlooked by mercenaries..." Does Bretonia employ mercenaries to fight her war?
I think it makes better RP for the Taiidan to be used instead of the RH bomber if you must use bombers. I know SF and RM are allies (or even blood brothers considering the age of the alliance), but wouldn't supplying bombers constitute RM joining the war? I mean, if that's your RP reasoning behind why you can use them. At the very least, wouldn't you be concerned of accidently pulling RM into the war, whether you meant to or not? Kusari could interpret the use of the bombers as supplying an enemy. Maybe I'm wrong, it just doesn't look right.
Edit:Exile editted as I was posting. (Great minds think alike.)
I think it would go either way, if SF will continue using RH bombers, they will have to state where they got them from, and thus including Rheinland in the war. With Rheinland being a war-machine i think that could work out great but to the advantage of SF.
I would chose to drop the bombers and get Britonia only ships, they have plenty of them so that wont be a problem i guess. If there are questions about how to take on cap-ships after not using bombers, i think that you all have to take a look at your tactical layout and organize waves of fighters with (only) 1 torpedo laucher mounted. Shoot a torpedo or two and get back to your figher slaying bussiness.
Thats my point of view,(ooc) but dont take it too seriously, i still have a lot to learn;)
"War. War never changes. Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything, from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage."
Edinburgh is connected directly to Tau-31, which is currently controlled by the KNF. Not much of a stretch.
And guys, RH Bombers aren't the only stretch here.. SF barely uses any Bretonian ships. A majority of their ships are NOT Bretonian. They use Talons, Raven's Talons, Vipers, etc more than their own Templars.. They have more Battlestars than Bret BSs.. Personally I think SF should do a major refit concerning their shiplist.
SF isn't completely Bretonian. If you look at their history, they originated out of Liberty as well. Still, the ships mentioned seem a little out of line.
