Dont mind me going back to the battleships with SF.
I mean, do you guys EVER fly figthers? people say SA was a cap whore but now..
annyhow, try to stick to your role play abit, if the ship is a worthless piece of junk, go take some practice, organize pirate attacks so that you can see how you can fly your ship better, ect ect.

I have recently lost the stomach for debating role play equipment and ships. Add to that debating mod balance as well, maybe if such debate doesn't give me heartburn some day I'll take it up again.

KNF will always use in game action to shape it's role play. The ships her enemies use are watched closely and they are most displeased with Reinland for selling bombers to Bretonia. THe usage of the Ravenclaw has not escaped them, this implies that the LSF have taken an interest in seeing Bretonia win over Kusari.

Now, no more SF-bashing in this post or I will bust out my fully automatic jell-o slinger and bury you all in sweet sticky jigglies...and I will complain to the admins.

BFH, in Vietnam, it was common for US Soldiers to use the AK-47's taken from bodies or weapons stashes, as it was much more reliable in the field than the M-16. Sounds just like taking the tizzy off a corsair kill because the Adv. Debil sucks.

I rarely see any fighters when I fight them. There are a few that use them, but SF's ship of chose when they are attacked seems to be a battleship or battlecruiser.


Yes Koolmo, they used AKs and all.. That was in the middle of a war, they were able to be TAKEN from the enemy for free and used against them. The USA couldn't get new weaponry and all out to the soldiers in Vietnam very well. Here on FL you can't STEAL ships. All ships cost money, and generally cost around the same amount per class. Also, did you perhaps forget how many soldiers in vietnam were killed by friendly fire becuase US soldiers would fire at the muzzle flashes of AKs, because the AK had a distinctive sound? US soldiers shot others because they used a gun that the enemy used.

The US government didn't want the forces in Vietnam using enemy weapons. The soldiers liked the reliability of the gun. The government didn't want them to use it, like the SF leadership shouldn't want the SF pilots using ships other than Bretonian ones (and I'm fine with Bret using Lib ships, its well within RP, since your allied to Lib). The pilots might WANT to use them, but you shouldn't allow them too.

SF has more civilian ships than Bretonian ones. More Liberty than Bretonian ones. The Bret BS is fine. My Outcast BS was killed by 2 different ones once each before (granted one case it was a 2v1 BS fight). You shouldn't be using Battlestars and much less ZONER JUGGERNAUTS. When we made the AW shiplist, we weren't on bad terms at all with the BAF. We were with the SF who were aligned with the BAF. These are the same reasons we didn't use Rh or Lib ships. AW won't be seen in any BAF ships, very few Rh ships (all of which were purchased awhile ago, and for the reasons of our occupation of Rheinland for 2 weeks), and we have a total of 2 Liberty ships (one to be traded for an as-of-yet unknown unlawful GB). SF is neutral to Zoners, thats true. But what of their reputation with the AW who control the ONLY Zoner shipyard that can produce a juggernaut? Countless wars and when not at war, we are extremely unfriendly. I don't think SF should be using Juggernauts.

I'm not saying you need to be strictly BAF ships. AW uses Zoner, Outcast, and Outcast-allied ships. SF should use Bretonian, Liberty, Rh Bombers (NO OTHER Rh ships, and I still think Taiiden bombers would be more RP), and a few, FEW, Civilian ships. You have more Civilian than BAF ships, thats my problem with your ships (and as with Exile, ALOT of capships that you don't need).

There is a difference, if a Zoner allied group were to use BAF ships that would be a civilian-type group using military equipment. The military would not openly sell the vessel to civilians (unless it was significantly out of date or towards an allied military group). A Military group using civilian equipment on the other hand is not out to lunch, just not common since the military issue is typically better.

Now, in terms of the Zoner Juggernaught, is it me or are people making it sound like there's more than one. As far as I'm aware there's only one Zoner Juggernaught tagged as SF. I, in fact warned the person in question, prior to his joining with the ship that although there's nothing stopping the use of it, since it is a civilian craft, that he would likely be receiving some words from others regarding its use . I did not encourage its use but I'm not going to force its removal when it fits the description of usable vessels on our faction page.

With respect to RH ships, the SF has the bombers since at the time the Taidiian was used heavily by pirates and the RH seemed a lot more appropriate (think I mentioned this before). There is/was one RH cruiser (haven't seen or heard from it in a while). The cruiser was discussed with RM in advance and a significant background story was provided explaining how it came to be in the SF. As far as I know, there are no other RH vessels. You will not see an RH battleship tagged as SF.

I do agree that the number of civilian as well as Liberty ships in use by the SF is higher than I and others like. I have contemplated adding a restriction that SF members must have more Bretonian SF chars than others. But the rest of that discussion will be an internal matter.

Added: Organize pirate attacks...LOL, who needs to organize when there's more than one group of pirates attacking regularly. Exile has a point that there's no point in complaining about the abilities of the Bretonian ships, they can still be made or used effectively. Just takes more effort and in the case of a win, makes the victory even more sweeter.

This is looking more and more like a topic about capship limits and choosing the right ship for your RP.

Dont matter to me though.

'Bout the ships, let SF decide what they fly, as long as they have a good reason for it, not as i saw a dude with BHG tag merc id rheinland gb, order and corsair turrets?

But if SF chooses to fly a RH vessel and the rheinland operatives see no trouble with that, maybe that KNF eventually will and may possible start blasting them down. Be carefull to what you choose.

Now back to the more important things in this topic make up a good scene and then put it into action, we love too see some major groups moving through a system declaring war on eachother, but stick to your RP. Dont shoot someone down because you can...

Not worried that will happen soon by both parties, because they love the war but hate a new flame war.:)
