Oright, I was thinking about it for a good while so I am going to give it another kick. Dont know if Seth Started one already, but if you want Seth - you may have this one.
PM on skype, and I'll try to answer ASAP.
Now, for University Homework >_>
EDIT: I found some blurry parts on the mesh, but is just my render. If I do a close up - it shows perfect and if far away it blurs out.
EDIT2: Yes, it will animated docking points. Made the doors separate meshes.
Hawt. It looks so right I can't properly express its rightness with words. Simple, covers what the station does, looks like it was built for the task. Perfect.

That is awesome. Has it been broken down into components though? Some of those parts could certainly be used elsewhere, and introduce some much needed diversity. As an example, that central section outstrips anything we currently have as a habitation module.
Only think I would say, is it appears you've made a custom control tower. Might look better if the original was used (my apologies if it is the original and the render is just making it look funny).
And I'd love to see more stations have those mooring bars added. I really would. Just remove the quickdock points and include those instead.
Ok, my plan is to take Luis's excellent model and split it up into components. The docking bays are very similar to Trentons current ones, and I likely will just use the old Freelancer ones as they have already animated docking bays, if that's ok with Luis. I'll then put it together ingame and voila, all sorted.
As I keep procrastinating and being lazy, I'm doing it now.
We're still going with the California-based model (Seth) and now we're looking to see if we can place the "new" Trenton (Luis) somewhere in Colorado, since replacing Trenton Outpost is unlikely.
