Danny Debris here, of the Debris Drifter. Well, a Recyclers hold is none to shaby, true. But for explorations and limited trade and mining you may want to look into a CSF. It's a larger vessel, 500 in the hold, with slightly lesser firepower. However, as a recompense, it can mount far heavier armor, the same shields, and handles about the same. I wouldn't want to take it alone against a gunboat, but it will see off anything smaller well enough if properly kitted. It's also a bit more comfortable than the tiny cockpit of the Recycler. I have mine outfitted with a wetbar, even.
If you change your mind about heading out to the deepdark, swing around our way. We'll be glad to share a mug of Rochester's finest and swap tales and routes.

I think we need to review a few details. This is not a new policy, just one that has not been enforced as strictly as it should.
We do not ask questions at the docks and anyone can dock as long as they behave. Behaving means that they do not bring trouble to our door. Anyone who shows up at a Junker base being pursued by lawful authorities is to be turned away. If they force their way into the dock, you are to send the evidence of this to me and I promise you they won't dock on a Junker base again.
This has got to be tightened up. From now on we will be cracking down on anyone who abuses our base in this way. Anyone who invites unlawfuls to gather at a Junker base in defiance of the authorities will be an enemy of the Junkers. Anyone who lures lawful forces to a Junker base for the purpose of causing trouble will become an enemy of the Junkers. This is the one and only warning to be given, there will not be another.

A rather irritated young man is pacing in the video feed, his blue eyes darting about
Right uh...well I'm pissed. Royally, if that could apply...heh. It was a long day, myself and Arbiter Crow caught and dealt with several folk early on. Even worked directly with the LPI, as I recall.
I then withdrew to Rochester, eatin' lunch and...yeah, well leave it at that. Launched my trusty salvager, and what do I find, but 2 LSF cruisers and a battleship firing upon Rochester. Turns out they were after some hacker that had run to us, so I politely took down the information on that perpetrator, forwarding to Rochester dock control.
A voice is heard in the distance, asking the blonde haired male to return to the living room
Suppose I should...One final word before I go. I hope the "fine" we're paying buys us some competence from the navy folk, 'cause the latest xeno-phantom-nomad assualt on my liner, right outside Manhattan was not a stellar display of tax dollars at work.
Still also looking out for that sack of dirt, Claymore. Methinks he's gone to ground however.

It has come to my attention that there is a group calling themselves Guardian Fugitive Recovery that has an axe to grind with Junkers. The GRF attacked a Pilgrim liner on a trade lane in the New York system a day ago. They told the captain of the ship they were collecting a bounty and he quickly relayed this information to Rochester before the ship was shot out from under him. They told the witnesses that showed up that they were firing in self defense. A gunboat / gunship combo was in danger against the big bad pilgrim and needed to act in self defense.
Later they accused me personally of being in cahoots with an Outcast operating in New York. I never left Rochester, but this is a good attempt at smoke and mirrors to distract attention from what they were doing. I actually give them praise for this, it's the kind of thing I would do and a brilliant move.
This is a far cry from a ship being lost in the far reaches of the border worlds. This was an attack on a trade lane in the heart of Liberty. A very bold move and a great middle finger to the law of Liberty. They obviously do not care about law and order so watch your scanners and be careful.

I'm calling on any captains who may have had dealings in the past with an individual known as the Joker. If there are any such captains in the Congress I need your help.
The Liberty Navy has proven once and for all that Admiral David Hale has no concern whatsoever what happens to any of us. We have been ordered to deny docking rights to the Joker and all of his associates. If we don't do this we will be declared criminals in Liberty and ALL Junkers will lose the right to do honest work there.
This isn't as simple a request as it seems and the good admiral knows this. We have no alliance with the Joker. We simply put up with him because we are not equipped to be at war with him. If the Liberty Navy is not equipped to deal with him what are we supposed to do?
The Joker is a psychopath. He will terrorize us from one end of Sirius to the other and many innocent Junkers will die if we give in to the navy's request. Hale knows this all to well. He's given us the choice to either go to war with the navy or the Joker. WE ARE A NEUTRAL FACTION AND WE AREN'T EQUIPPED TO DO EITHER.
Any suggestions on how we can bring all parties to the table and resolve this issue would be appreciated.
Arbiter,
I myself, an' indeed me pilot as well, Murphy, 'ave had dealings wif' yon Joker in the past. While our relationship to date has been amicable, Oi've always 'ad me 'and behind me back wif' me gat in it, an' I'm bloody well sure 'es done the same, p'raps wif a nuke or some such mad thing...
T'any rate, Oi'll send th' lad a comm n' see wha' Oi might do ter begin a barter with mutual blinkin' benefit. S' far 's makin' 'im promises goes, we'd best come up wi' summin' sharp n' pointy in th' way o' plans, ovverwise I'm offerin' th' fellow n' his outriders nary more'n a 'andfull o' vacuum. They're like ta ge' a wee bit miffed onnat, so'z Oi'm all ears.

I bring more sad news as our ranks decrease slightly. The Mavericks and all ships and pilots associated with them have relinquished their seat on the Junker Congress. I do not like seeing things like this happen, but sometimes it is for the best.

Greetin's Congressmen.
It seems that the Volksfront is gettin' a charity run up and they want our help. They asked for some Consumer Goods here.
Now, I had some spare time on my hands so I went on to meet the lad.
I decided to take a wee bit more than requested and offer it as a gift from the Congress.
That oughta leave some sort of impression, aye? Here's the comn log. I think some pieces got cut off. Blasted recorder needs a replacement again...

Greetings gentleman, Oi think it is time to introduce myself to ones Oi didn't have pleasure to meet yet. Me name is Mickey O'Neil and I'm part of the great Junker family. During the time oi made a group of our people that like to do "shady business" more often then some others. You could call us, bit more radical. We had enough of disrespect that is shown to our people, we had enough of greedy people trying to look good in this galaxy of oors. Oi'm lookin' foward to meetin' any of ye brothers in space, to do business or to help each other in time of need, as my lil' family is doing whole this time. Please hold no grudges on our account as our name may show up in some unpleasant places, we will never put another member of family in danger, as unfortunately incident with Claymore...well it started by him shooting one junker brother Oi met that day. When the time comes Oi'll show you our ideas, our work as Oi gave it only to Mr.Crow so he knows of us. Our bases and our man will not be in danger from us, and our brothers will be protected, defended and helped in most dangerous situations. Oi' hope we can cooperate and prosper from that. As an addition if you feel like hunting some people, my family has it's bounty board.
Some target are...not the best to hunt with your reputation, but Oi'm sure ye dislike people tryin' to pirate or threaten us like oi do. So Oi'm sure yer find couple of target fer yer self there.
Oi hope ye can accept us, and oi wish you a great day. ~ Mickey O'Neil of The Snatchers
