' Wrote:The random lagouts at times are likley at least partly caused by issues between my ISP connection to the datacenter, however the issues I've had on my Juggernaught are quite differnt, as if I fire the weapons for more than a few seconds (especily if they hit anyhting) then virtualy always I seem to get disconnected.
Definately a capacity issue towards the server then. Do a burst and immediately do a /ping to check for packet loss. My guess is you'll have a significant amount. Something is dropping packets when you generate above-normal traffic (such as firing a lot of turrets, and generating a lot of projectiles by doing so, I'm going to assume there's a good deal of zoner standard turrets or solaris involved).
Again, issues could be your ISP, your own system, even your modem or some kind of traffic monitoring software on your system, if present.

Hmm I havne thought of doing /ping as I shoot, too often I redlag/RC as soon as I start.
ok tested it in Om74 shooting into space, ping139 and no lag/loss
For being in the US thats pretty good.
edit: And managed to get a DC just now. Soon as the redlag started showing, no input on my ends goes thru however I still see messages from the other end.
I've got -lag in the command line, for the newer players that activates the FL defualy lag indicator.
And a tally of what is happening.
1- a specefic ship starts DCing:
Usualy happens this way just after I hit a JH, I'll relag and DC within 30secs. At that point the ship will redlag/DC whenever I re-log it (Ive treid rebooting PC, restarting FL, etc etc) and this will sometimes last for hours (IE: I go to bed and it works in the morning). But I can use other ships without issue, but if I switch back to the ship DCing I DC once more. I really see NO way for that to be a local error. Anything on my connection or my box would mean I would be DCing on ANY ship not a specific one. Simply put, errors on my end woudl be incapable of being selective
2- random DC:
Randomly DC while I'm flying arround. Everyone does it on occasion, so some could be connection some could be related to the bug at hand.
3- Battleship DC:
Ive tested this borrowing other peoples BSs. Simply put, I fly a BS and fire a steady salvo of its guns, and within a few mins I'll start to randomly DC. I can fire endlesley on other ships but JUST on battleships I seem to have this issue. Quite odd, and ocne again it seems too selective in scope to really be at least totaly connection related. ( or if it is, the Janitor is too busy bandying insults to do his job )
EDIT:
Ok, tested on disco of disco. Same issue occured. So at least part of it IS on my end. Will post more as I attempt to isolate the casue.
