While on a deuterium mission, the Yuuzai Maru detected the SF trader SFT Gambler in the Tau 31 system. Captain Bo waited near the tradelane west of Holman for some time, but the trader did not appear, so the Yuuzai proceeded towards planet Harris.
There, the SF-tagged large train was detected running between Harris and the nearby Bretonian battleship.
The Gambler was engaged several times as he plied back and forth, with some loss of shield, but the cowardly Gambler would not stand and trade fire. The Captain of the gambler instead chose to shut down his trade and found urgent matters elsewhere to attend to. ((Switched to a fighter in Cambridge, which remained in Cambridge as I completed the run to Canaria.))
The rumors of our demise and lack of activity will not go unanswered.
For the Emperor, KNF, and Kishiro,
Bo Sun Gen, Captain

I will defer to Nebotuda on your request. I have had some insights into this "friendship" you speak of. I find it in retropect to have been manipulative and self-serving to the interests of the Southern Alliance. Where has your alleged friendship been when hordes of Blood Dragons and Stone Sisters have recently poured down upon us from the north?
Your veiled threat only serves to prove that Bretonia is losing the war, and is desparate for an infusion of allies. The SF can barely contain the new threats coming at then from Dublin and the Omegas, let alone from the Blue Lagoon.
Further, the thought of you bringing your "lardass" big tubs into the Taus to engage the KNF brings some amusing pictures to my mind. From recent reports, your once balanced and formidable fleet is so top-heavy and bulbous that the ice and rocks of the Taus would quickly have you mired and muddled.
But, as I stated, Nebotuda-Taisho speaks for the Emperor. I merely speak gently in Taisho's ear.

I've come to understand that you boys are in a little spot of trouble.
I happen to have a cruiser in my service, and a good compliment of well-trained killers for hire. If we can talk pricing, I'll place myself and my boys and girls at your disposal. From the sound of things, you could certainly use a little help in the defense department.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Reaver

My Brothers and Sisters,
I am ashamed to say that we have been betrayed.
Our recent recruit, Renzokuken, has defected. He refuses at this point to decommission his Chimaera, and return to the Imperial Treasury what was given him by Bo Sun Gen, head of Recruiting for KNF.
I have consulted with and petitioned the Gods ((Admin)). This traitor now has two choices:
Either decommission his vessel within 24 hours ((delete KNF char));
or, submit a change of registry for the vessel he stole from us ((submit name change)).
If this is not done within 24 hours, he will be severely chastised by the Gods ((fined)); and will be left at the mercy of the KNF's Elite Guard ((dumped in Hiroshima)).
Further, my fellow warriors, If you see this traitor within those 24 hours, you are welcome to express your own displeasure towards him as you see fit. I'm sure he will not find the experience pleasant.
Our brother Bo feels very badly about this error in judgement; but I have convinced him not to take his own life for the Emperor. Bo has promised to personally reimburse the Imperial Treasury for the funds lost in recruiting this traitorous dog.
Bo has also promised me that even though the KNF is faced with a multitude of enemies and problems, that he will use extra dilligence in recruiting from this point forward. Only those with honor will be selected to join our valiant warriors on the field of battle.

Subject: Research Vessel
Brothers and Sisters,
The esteemed geneticist and biologist, Professer Daishou Hiia, has expressed a desire to continue his research in and for the benefit of Kusari. Hiia-san and his research complement will be recommissioning the Science Vessel Hakobune in the immediate future.
Please offer all assistance required to Dr. Hiia and his fellows in this endeavor. As this is a non-combatant vessel, its designation and affilliation is still to be determined; but the Hakobune will have the full protection and support of all KNF, KNT, and KSP forces. OUr allies are also requested to offer the Hakobune all considerations and priviledges due any of our regular Kusari Forces.
We wish Professor Hiia good fortune and success in his many fields of research. We are certain that his brilliant mind will provide invaluable benefit to the Blue Lagoon.

Excuse me, but I have heard rumors that, while most likely untrue, I would like dispelled. You aren't trying to negotiate with the dishonorable scum of the NovaPG and Bushido terrorists, are you?
I have nothing to hide. I have the ear of the Emperor, the Parliament, and the Kiretsu Corporations in this matter. To be perfectly honest, it is no concern of yours whatsoever.
So, you may upgrade your "rumor" to fact. Had I felt the need to consult your Auxiliary Wing on the matter, I would have done so.
What you should be concerned about is your own reputation and standing with the Official Kusari Naval Forces, Sir. If you are not clear about your place in the hierarchy of the Blue Lagoon, I would be most happy to enlighten you.
You may consult me further on the matter through private channels. You will be informed of the results of any negotiations with the Dragons and the Chrysanthemums. I strongly advise that whatever those negotiations result in, you and your forces would do well to abide by them, or face censure and disgrace from the Throne.
No more of this matter will be spoken of over this channel.
I will be meeting with the leaders of NovaPG and Bushido tomorrow, Saturday, at 1700 UT in Hokkaido.
Commander Ezra Kilo is hereby promoted to Captain, and will be on the bridge of the Flagship Tawakemono. He will take me, alone, to the heart of the Hokkaido System. No other ships will accompany us.
The NovaPG are nervous, and have insisted on bringing their Fleet to the meeting. They fear treachery on the part of their other enemies, not the KNF. Should their enemies try to take advantage of the Negotiations, Master Intoxication has guaranteed me that his Fleet will protect the Tawakemono as well.
If KNF members wish to gather for updates, you may rendezvous at Yokohama Shipyards, but go no further. I have given my word. I believe the Dragons and Mums will abide by their word, as well. If for some reason I am wrong, and do not return, then you must each search your soul as to what the future holds for you and the KNF. Have no fear, I will return, and hopefully with an agreement which will give the KNF a new chance to prevail against Bretonia, and to grow strong enough to confront our other enemies again.
Here are the Terms I will request:
1) Temporary ceasefire between NovaPG/Bushido and KNF/Katana throughout Sirius until the end of September. Length can be renegotiated at any time by either side.
2) KNF/Katana will stay out of Hokkaido, Chugoku, Tohoku, and the NovaPG/Bushido Guard/Home Systems except for pass-thru to other systems when requested.
3) NovaPG/Bushido will stay out of Kyushu, New Tokyo, Honshu, Shikoku, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka except for pass-thru when requested.
(I know there may be instances when a request is impossible.. no one on to ask.. considerations given. These terms pertain to major Fleet movements. Individuals will be given consideration in their movements through Cease-fire space.)
4) NovaPG/Bushido will not pirate or interfere w/ KNT/Kishiro/Samura traders anywhere; nor will our side interfere with NovaPG/Bushido traders anywhere. If NovaPG/Bushido will provide a complete list of their affilliated Traders, they will be noted and included in the Terms.
5) Non-aligned traders in any of the above systems must fare for themselves during the Cease-fire. There are plenty of Escorts, Mercenaries, etc., to give them protection during this time. Both sides will be responsible for documenting any attacks made upon their own Factions or others in the area that may be against the spirit of this Cease-Fire. These incidents must be reported to Leaders, and will be discussed in good faith in an effort to maintain the Cease-fire.
The Ancestors and Gods will travel with me. Pray to your own that our answer will be favorable.

Recently I was attacked by the tretcherous and dishonourable pirates the
Blood Dragons. The pilot: Yakumo-Sarutobi. I was escorting the police
armoured transport NULLIUS_REX through the tau 23 syestem to a mining
ground near the I belive BSG station of Java. Here the pirate attacked. In the
ensuring battle we were breifly assisted by =BSG=Thanatos. My ship was ((ooc: he blew me up)) severly damaged and I was forced to fall back for
repairs. At my re-arrival at the sence the pirate was gone with the
transport unharmed. What worried me was that the Chimaera was completly
out classed by the pirate ship, as were my weapons and equiptment. This
can only be bad news. I would like to be able to say kill on sight no
questions asked however this pirate is incredibaly dangerous, and should I
meet him again I wish to be able to battle on equal terms, does Kusari
offer any more advanced fighters, weapons and sheilds? ((ooc: For some
reason I cant add a screen shot, they use too much memory so it wont
let me attatch them using the 'browse' button and I cant copy and past them
in. What should I do?))
