If the Zoners do in fact "move out" entirely from the system, They could relocate the Zoner Guard system to Omega 50. it's next door to the only Zoner planet, it's not a major non-Zoner trade hub, and Zoners already have 2 bases there. Personally, I think it would make more sense to have the guard system near GC than in the omicrons. Besides the fact that with the Gallic advance Zoners may need their fleet base closer to the front.
If we are going to leave the recent Zoner-corsair conflict in the MOD's RP, then it could be part of a cease fire agreement. Zoners give up FP9, and relocate from Omicron 74 to Omega 50. in return the corsairs vacate any presence in Omega's 49 and 50. (doesn't make sense to me either having that many corsair patrols on the wrong side of hessian space.)
So if Omicron 74 ceases to be the Zoner guard system, Then the Core could be free to try relocate their fleet base there.
One of the reasons I applied for this system is that, under the new server rules, there probably won't BE any new Zoner factions. Remember, only one official faction per npc group, with the older and already established factions not having to give up their systems?
While you could turn it into a generic system - based upon the in-game role-play of the factions involved, they've abandoned it. So how can you justify it remaining a Zoner Guard system when the Zoners have pulled out? You'd almost HAVE to have it turn into an empty system - one that someone else could move into. Thus, our application... I realize that some things here are not player driven - as far as the main script of what is supposed to happen regarding such things like Gallic invasions, Nomad planet whacking, and such.
As far as the Guild Core is concerned - we have a base in Delta now, Dabadoru. Our main concern is the Order - we're one system from there now, so we're ALREADY in your backyard. Same with Nomads. Outcasts - you guys have a bit of breathing room now, we either have to through Kappa, and then either O74 or Gamma, into Theta, and THEN show up on your doorstep. All this would do is eliminate 2 jumps from that. The Wild in O-55 and O-58, we can easily reach from Rostock if need be.
Those are the people the Core is fighting, because those are the people with Nomad tech. That's our professed goal, and IS our RP.

I'd say almost certainly declined application for Omicron-74.
' Wrote:Baffin/74, Zelot. We'll see where this goes though, certainly.
Baffin = TAZ
74 = ex-ZTC
2 factions.
1 faction can only own 1 system.
TAZ can't own both Baffin and 74 for example.
BHG| can't own BHG Guard and 74..
It'd also have severe lore and storyline implications, furthering my conclusion of almost certainly declined application.
No more Q_Q please?
Agmen, you're also wrong. Under the new server rules, only one official NAVY FACTION per NPC navy faction allowed. This has nothing to do with pirate factions, trading factions, and non-house military groups such as BHG, nor does it affect the Zoners.

Quote:Effectively immediately, applications to become an official faction will be limited to one player faction per NPC faction and thus there will be only one official player faction per ID.
Edit: As a Corsair higly invested in his faction I'd have no problem with the BHG in 74. Even if we start to pew pew each other openly again... you know why? It means we'll have someone to constantly interact with.
If we stay with the NAP thats all good then cause of Thresher Swarm-o-Doom will make OC stay away.
the "new" rules over faction/ID only came into place over the GRN/LE conflict anyway. It's funny how ingame a force which is "enough to crush sirius" is.. destroyed by little more than a pirate faction which resides in galia and the GRN| message dump posters even decide to lie to INRP kill something they got killed by..
As for this zoner rubbish Dab's right in the sence it shouldn't be sold or even up for sale... it's a confusing notion to even considder.
Having said that..... I think the current climate anything can happen... Zoners becomming allied to SCRA| mass war between pretty much everything and Zoners.. yeah.. get the point yet?
Well then! After the BHG "buys" the Zoner Guard system, the Corsairs can blow up the remaining Zoner bases in the omicrons and omegas, the AG can take care about FP6 and FP1, the WRF can blow up FP2, navy can claim Ames and the Zoners would still have Yukon to sit around and RP in! And the TAZ could keep their exclusive bases in Baffin.
And I wonder why Zoner groups are being disbanded and a lot of Zoner players are migrating to USA Disco server...

Official player factions must act in a manner that complies with the NPC faction.
Other player factions applying for official status may use a generic ID.
This applies to all new applications.
Existing player factions are not affected by this change.
Is there a limit to the number of generic ID'd factions?
No. There is no limit to the number of factions using generic ID's.
At present, I believe there is only one official faction using a generic ID on the server (the Mandalorians).
I don't consider this a pointless argument, since (as was pointed out) you are incorrect. (Remember, Dab, I was part of the discussions that led up TO the creation of this rule - and while I no longer have access to them, there are parts of this forum that moderators don't have access to, only admins, where we discussed super secret things like which gauge of aluminum foil to make our conspiracy hats out of...)
Pirate, Freelancer, Independent Trader, Miner and Mercenary are the really about the only ones considered generic ID's. Bounty Hunter, Zoner, Corsair - none of those are generic ID's, and thus are limited to the one ID per faction rule.
Also note that, quite frankly, we don't want Omicron-74 as a GUARD system, per se. We just want to OWN the system... Heck, I'll even be willing to share the system with another faction if they wanted to put a base off in a corner somewhere.
2nd Edit - Shipyards, raw materials, and our own Freeport to make money from storage, along with a secured route from Theta to Kappa / Delta in case our NAP with the Corsairs breaks down. That's worth buying...

This has possibilities. Could we move all the stuff sold at Lividia/FP15 to Sparta/Corinth?
Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Not to take away from the current discussion but..
