Tonight i took a SSA vessel to probe the PR rift and recieve data, we flew a run together
but he insisted on having a closer look alone as i wasnt going to get any closer, as he
went in the well we lost contact, he got sucked in, i went to look for him as he came out, then
got hit with a flare & pushed me back in, i got back out with one dead, sadly SSA vessel lost
two. We went back to Vieques shipyard for repairs and refresh the crews. After which we
preceded to the Humbold system, we didnt get far in when my vessel went all black, total
ship shutdown. When my systems came back online the SSA vessel was gone, vanished !
i done a full check of my ship, there was nothing i could find that would have caused the
shutdown, it could have been the rift, but the thing is the SSA vessel had it worse than me,
i've had a look around & sent a patrol out to keep looking for him. I'll have another look
around when the patrol gets back.
I thought it best not to name the SSA vessel for now until i have another look !
Aye, an fer various reasons, I've 'ad cause ter pass tha' way lately, an' Oi've seen nae trace o' any vessel debris wha' might be 'yon lost SSA vessel.
Next time through 'Umboldt n' 'Rico, Oi'll 'ave Kelley spike th' scanner n' see wha' pings, aye?
An' ef ye need a scout, I can put Murph oot in th' Dropkick.
T'any rate, Oi'z is atcher service, an' sure. Ye but needs ask.

Congressmen,
It seems we have someone trying to tarnish our good name once again. Do any of you know anything about a Junker by the name of Bill Meyers? You can see an account of his recent actions here. This could be related to our recent mutiny attempt. It could also be related to JT's excellent job of thwarting an attempted piracy of Junker ships in the Taus. It could also be something entirely new. At any rate, I want to know who this guy is and why he's out to give us a bad name.

The MD mining company you say? I've heard good things about 'em. By good, only that they're less....how would you say, pretentious and uptight than the IMG proper. Which is still something, in this day and age. I've got a little bomber drone in the area. It'll be checking out the situation, next I hear of more shenanigans taking place.
Speaking of business partners, does anyone have a copy of Gateway Shipping's latest quarterly report? They've several bases, a fleet of large trade ships, could be worthwhile buying stock options in it, or the company entirely. They're a bit more well established and reputable in-house than say, the MD mining group. Food for thought.
I visited those MD guys. Suffice to say they weren't happy to see me. I tried to bargain with them, saying I'd pay more but they would have none of it. They've got themselves some protection so we'll have to steer clear until this stuff is worked out.

Well I have a little more news about the MD mining situation. It seems that a former Congressman in a ship called the Maverick is causing at least some of the trouble. I have yet to see the proof of this, but word of this comes to me directly from the owner of MD and at the moment I trust him. Be on the look out for Maverick, apparently the captain and the crew are trying to get the Congress to take the blame for their shenanigans.
I would not post here unless I had to...But it seems that We are looking for the same person...And in case you wish to speculate us, The only ships that bear our name are two...the IV and the V....A Junker Slave liner and a Zoner Corvo....Thats it...
Our ship, the IV, is currently in lockdown in Sigma 13 and hasn't been flown in weeks...
Plus when it involves piracy, I can assure you that that option is not allowed in our rules....
We will be looking into this as well and send you what we find....
Volengos out....

Hail THE.MAVERICK.IV,
Greetings Volengos, it's good to hear from you chief, welcome.
I also saw the vessel "Maverick",seems he got blown up in the northen
systems tonight, it had no other marking in its name. It is good that
you stay true to your name. I hope this misunderstanding has not
been too troublesome for your fleet. If you have any more problems
or expenses caused through this please get in touch.

Congressmen. *nods, frowning*
Today I regretfully tender my resignation from Congress.
Oi leave ye fine folk today nae 'cause o' some ethics violation, or embezzlement, or anythin' so tawdry as bein' found in a compromisin' position wif th' Arbiter's best gal. Though I did try me best. *grins slightly*
Nor do Oi leave ye 'cause o' some great rift in th' Congress what causes us ta row n' runction like northies n' southies. Though, again, Oi tried me best. *smiles openly*
Nae, my friends.
Oi resign fer purely personal reasons, and cast nae clouds on th' Congress what Oi loves wif all me heart.
I'll stand by ye lot as always Oi 'ave, an' nary will Oi turn me eyes from ye should ye need ol' Finn.
Oi's a Junker. Born n' raised, an' hope ter die 'at way.
Oi feel's tha' me n' me lads, Clan Gordon o' Inverness, can best serve th' Junker Nation as a whole, if I chuck these Congress robes an' go back to me ol' ways.
Besides, ye e'er see a Congressman in a barfight? 'S been a far sight too long since Oi knocked out some rotter's teef jus' fer lookin' at me sideways. *cracks knuckles*
An' I intend ter warm me some barstools in th' bloody near future 'ere, now wha' Oi can.
*smile fades, replaced by a grim frown, hangs head while looking at the camera*
Tim Finnegan, Coileach an Taobh Tuath, Clan Chief o' th Gordons, stands firmly at your beck an' call.
S' Just time me n' mine got back to what we're actually good at.
Bein' junkers.
Tha' Congress robe 'as begun ta chafe a bit.
S' time I hung it up, dusted off me old kilts an' called up Niverton for some *cough* passengers bound for Malta.
*bows deeply*
Oi'm at yer service, Congress, as always.
If ye'll 'ave me still as friend an' fellow.
