I have NO idea if there's already a thread like this, but I'm just a bit bored, and thought about how I got the game.

So, I got this game on christmas, probably 2003, since it was released that day. My grandmother gave it too as a christmas present.
When I first saw the cover I thought "Hm, looks kinda strange..." , almost didn't like it.
But when I started playing the game, huh...I couldn't stop. And still to this day I would say it's the best game of its kind, which I've played. It has some things, which I missed from the beginning, but even though it's worth playing again and again.

So, how did you come to playing freelancer?

(I think I saw a thread like this some time or another...If there is another one, ... please don't kill meee Q_Q)
:P

My buddy Markus came to my place so we could re-install XP on his box. Before we formatted, he logged into the game quickly to move some stuff around and save his accounts.

Hooked ever since.

A bucket full of years later, i came across that cd and thought, hey you could play it once more, 12 houres later the singleplayer was done and i googled for some cool mods.
Disco was the only one with a playerbase mor ethan 10 avarage so i came here.

Now i am adicted and in need of professional help ^^

A buddy gave me the demo on a cd. Since it was one of the few games my pc back then could run, I played it over and over again.

Two years later, I found the demo again. But this time I downloaded the whole game. Played through the singleplayer campaign, then downloaded the coolest looking mod I could find. Discovery was the most attractive. Next step was going online.

The rest is general Disco history.

My older brother had it suddenly on some day
then I wanted to play it when I was 13
then I talked over my other brother to start playing.
Then my older brother quit and did some other games.
Then my other brother that I talked over also quited because the server we played died.
And I was the only one left to try out disco.
And after a year break I'm now back for over 1 year.

But I'm bussy talking my older brother over again ^^

And I have been only in 2 clans in my whole 4 to 5 years of freelancer.

[KoF] same server where the hackers were. yes kof... koffers.. coffee. ^^

It's all my brothers fault.
He played in front of me too many times so I had to check it out.
